Harry Potter has, without a doubt, the best fandom known to mankind. Members of this fandom are always finding loopholes and figuring why things happened and what could have happened if things went another way. Because this fandom is so devoted to the books and movies, they often come up with scenarios that are funny as well as gut-wrenchingly sad. Grab your tissue box, we're about to jump into the sad side of Harry Potter.

15 Wait until my father hears about this

Yikes. As upsetting as this is, we can definitely see it. We're actually quite thankful that Lupin put a stop to the whole "Boggart in a wardrobe" thing. Although, we would have liked to see what Hermione was most afraid of. We wish that she was able to go instead of Ron, since it's obvious that his biggest fear is spiders (especially after seeing how he reacted in Chamber of Secrets. Who could blame him, though?). Draco talks a lot about how "his father will hear about this" and we know that it's because he sees his father as this big, scary and authoritative man. However, not everyone sees Lucius like that. People see him as an annoying pain in the butt, but not as a scary leader.

The fact that we get a little insight on how Draco sees his father is not only upsetting, but kind of understandable. Think about it—all of Draco's life, he was told that he had to follow down the dark road that his dad was on. We feel bad for Draco. We really do.

14 The third floor is off limits

HA, Harry's face literally says it all. He's probably thinking,"Uncertain death? What on earth is this?" We love how shocked he looks, yet everyone else is just standing there like, "Yeah, we know already." This shows how deprived Harry was growing up away from the wizarding world. Ron looks like he's thinking, "Crap, Fred and George were actually telling me the truth." And it looks like Neville is thinking, "Wait, that's actually true?" The faces surrounding Harry are funny, but Harry's takes the cake.

Yet, what does Harry do? He goes on the third floor and looks death straight in the face. He even lives to tell the tale! We're not sure if we should call him brave or stupid. We guess that he's a mixture of the two. We also think we would have acted the same way, especially if we wanted to know more about our parents and could see them in the Mirror of Erised. Plus, he did save the stone from Voldemort and Quirrell. Alright, Harry. You're alright.

13 How do you not like magic?

THIS POST! Seriously, if Harry and Ron wanted to trade places with us and learn Algebra and Advanced Chemistry, we would have gladly switched spots with them. Think about how awesome it would be to write with a quill and get your own wand. We'd send mail to our families via owl and partake in Quidditch. We'd learn so much and actually have the time of our lives. Plus, we could pursue a career with magic one day. We don't care how tough you are, we know you'd love to use magic on a day-to-day basis. Who wouldn't? Who wouldn't want to sit in a classroom with flying objects and learn how to defend ourselves?

Oh, that's right—Harry and Ron! We get that they wanted to explore and fight Voldemort and that's great, too. However, learning sounds a lot more fun (and a lot less dangerous). We now fully understand why Hermione was always so grouchy when they didn't want to study.

Why do Tumblr users do this to us? Just punch us in the gut some more, why don't you? God, this post is a mixture of sad and happy and we're not sure what side we stand on more. The fact that Molly devotes her time to help children in need and knits sweaters for them is heartwarming. We also love the fact that Neville is the Hogwarts Professor. He'll do great, great things. Although, we think he'd be happier as the Herbology teacher. Maybe not, though!

Anyways, back to Molly. If you're unsure why she'd cry while knitting sweaters with the letter 'F' on them, please leave. You don't want to know. Since you're still reading, though, we'll tell you. She lost her son Fred during the battle at Hogwarts and it's hard for her to think about especially since Fred's twin, George, is always near her. She can never fully recover from this. She sees Fred in George and that must be harder to deal with than we know. God bless Molly for being so kindhearted. We love her so much.

11 No love for the lil' guy

Please, stop. This is really too much, even for us. It was hard enough watching how the Dursleys treated Harry when he was a little older, but reading this post and thinking about how this is all probably very true is just too much for us to handle. Babies and toddlers need love and affection. To think that he was being a normal toddler, calling out for his mom and dad, drawing pictures of his family and always hearing what a freak he was just makes us really sad. Who knew that the users of Tumblr could be so...dark? We mean, this post is really dark. It's gloomy and miserable. We're honestly shocked that Harry turned out the way he did. We're surprised that he didn't spiral into a drug addiction or try to kill himself.

Now, we're even more thankful that Hagrid came when he did. God only knows what Harry might have done if he had to deal with the Dursleys as a teenager on his own. His magic would have spiraled out of control and he might have turned evil. Now, that's a scary thought.

10 Something we can all agree on

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

This post perfectly depicts how each person in the fandom feels daily. For starters, Umbridge was an evil witch. The only thing that we really like about her is her love for cats. Also, Maggie Smith is the perfect McGonagall and we hope that the series never gets a remake. No one will ever play the character as well as Maggie did. The entire scene from Goblet of Fire kind of disturbed us. In the book, Dumbledore calmly asked, "Did you put your name in the Goblet of Fire?" If you watch the movie, it's anything but calm. It's borderline...frightening. Definitely weird, that's for sure.

On to the next topic: book Ginny. She was so clever. We love her so much more than on-screen Ginny. However, we really love Bonnie Wright and we don't blame her for how her character was portrayed. Next, Peeves was around in the movie, just not acknowledged. We're not sure why, but it's kind of sad. And finally, yes—Voldemort's death was incredibly stupid. They could have done so much more with it. Ah, well. We still love the crap out of the books and movies.

9 Cosmo sex tip #394

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

WOW, this is perfect! If you aren't sure why page 394 is being talked about, you're not part of the HP fandom. Since you have no clue what this means, we'll let you know. In Prisoner of Azkaban, Snape has to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts while Lupin is, well, out being a werewolf. He tells the students to turn to page 394 in the darkest, yet funniest, voice. Hermione (being smarter and much braver than the average student) asks why they're learning about werewolves when they aren't that far in the book. She then understands and realizes that Lupin is a werewolf.

Poor Draco, though. He's made fun of so much in the fandom (for good reasons, we know). Whoever thought of this is brilliant. How do people think of things like this off the top of their head? We wish we were that funny!

8 Afterlife emotions

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

ALRIGHT, THAT'S IT. We're on the floor sobbing. Can you imagine how incredible this moment would feel for both Lily and Molly? Lily was watching over Harry all those years (and saw how terrible he was treated by her sister) and then watches as Molly looks out for him and treats him like her own. How satisfying do you think it would that have been for Lily to see her son feel love (and true love) for the first time? How do you think Molly would have felt? To feel that love from Lily just pouring out of her would have been worth all the hardships she faced after bringing Harry in.

After all, she lost her son in the battle at Hogwarts when Voldemort wanted Harry. The fact that the Weasleys were so willing to fight for Harry and ultimately give their lives to keep him safe is enough to make anyone immensely grateful. We're thankful this Tumblr user put this image into our heads. We're happy knowing that Molly received the thanks that she deserved.

7 Baby book for one

Via: tumblr.com

...What kind of monster is this Tumblr user? Why would they fill our head with this? We're crying uncontrollably now. Part of us is happy that they said this because let's face it—after Harry's hard life, he could really use something like this to make him feel better. However, we're so upset to think that this actually didn't happen and are wondering what Harry would have thought if it had. We love the fact that his first word might have been "pong" and we love how their handprints would be together on one page. How incredible would this gift have been? It goes to show that the little things mean the most. If we tear up just thinking about this, god only knows what we would have done if it actually happened.

Ugh, and the fact that it would just end...just like that. There would be no 'first haircut' pictures or 'first steps' date. It would just... end. How beautifully sad would that have been? We're done. We can't think about this anymore.

6 Who am I and why?

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

Yeah, we can see this! The first three years at Hogwarts, Harry was figuring out who he was and what really happened to him. It was a thrilling (yet scary) adventure. He was adored by many students and had so many friends that he talked to in the halls and in the Gryffindor common room. By book four, though, he started to realize what it meant to be the infamous Harry Potter. Voldemort was back, Harry watched his friend, Cedric, die and he was almost attacked by Barty Crouch JR. His life pulled a 360 and he realized that it's not easy being "the boy who lived." While he was still flattered by being called "the chosen one," he knew that it meant a lot more than he was willing to take on.

Thankfully, everything worked out in Harry's favor and he was able to end the Dark Lord once and for all (while losing a lot of people that he was close to). Let's be happy that he didn't follow in Lockhart's example and let all that fame go to his head.

5 Time to get your books out!

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

HA, this post is one of the best things we've seen. It's so true, too. In all the books/movies, you hear about the students attending maybe two to four classes. The rest of the time it's about adventures that they go on, hardships they face and sneaking around the school trying to save the day. It's shocking to think that they passed with good grades! Well, it's not so shocking that Hermione did, now that we think about it. She was all about learning and knew everything she could about spells. She is, after all, the brightest witch of her age. Harry and Ron, though? Not so much. Sure, they were brilliant, but they didn't really care too much about classes. They were more interested in adventure than education!

Imagine how Hogwarts is right now, though. Close your eyes and think about it! We can almost guarantee you that the students are sitting at their desks learning about the history of magic and practicing charms and spells without distractions. We imagine it's a pretty boring place right about now, but we'd trade our souls to go there.

4 Beautiful second chance

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

WHY DIDN'T THIS HAPPEN? This would have been a perfect way to end the series. After all, it was Hagrid who helped Harry realize who he was and took him to Diagon Alley for his first time to buy his supplies. The least Harry could do is return the favor when he got the chance to do it. Someone needs to use the time-turner and fix the ending. We need Hagrid to be able to experience this and we need Harry to be the one that takes him shopping. Can you imagine how teary-eyed Hagrid would be if McGonagall told him that he was given a second chance? Can you imagine how teary-eyed we would be reading this? It's too much for us, we love Hagrid and want the best for him.

Also, imagine Hagrid looking for the perfect wand and Harry showing up with an owl for him (just like Hagrid did for Harry). How adorable would that be? Granted, Hagrid might want a dragon or something instead of an owl, but rules are rules. We think an owl would be perfect for this kindhearted giant.

3 Letters from your fave cousin

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

God, why? Ugh. Where are our tissues? Can you imagine how utterly shocking it would be if Dudley sent Harry a letter about his daughter being welcomed into Hogwarts? And Harry would just stand there looking at the letter in shock and disbelief. Knowing Harry, he'd probably be thrilled for Dudley's daughter and want to teach her everything he knows. Also, can you imagine the stories that she'd come home and tell her dad? "Daddy, I learned about Uncle Harry today! Did you know that he fought Lord Voldemort and won? And a troll in his first year!" What do you think Dudely's reaction would be?

We think he'd find it hard to keep his tears in. After all, he was awful to Harry. Think back to the time where he mocked Harry for Cedric dying and then proceeded to say that his parents were dead, too. He's going to hear about all the hardships that Harry had and realize that he made them that much worse for bullying him at the one place he should have felt safe: home.

2 Puberty problems

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

LOL, this is brilliant. It's so true, too. Take a long, hard look at Neville. He looks fine AF! His goofy teeth are gone, he learned how to style his hair and he cleans up really nice. Granted, he never looked like that in Hogwarts, but you get the gist! Let's look at Tom, now. He looked like a pretty cute kid. Definitely evil, yes. But he was a cutie. Then he just had to go around ripping his soul out, turning into a serpent-like man with no eyebrows (or nose). Plus, his teeth are sunken in. That can't be good. Too bad no dentist will go near Voldemort. We can only imagine what his breath smells like. On second thought, we don't want to imagine that.

This goes to show that if you take care of yourself (and leave your soul in your body) you'll turn out okay. There's hope, friends! Puberty is both a blessing and a curse! If you can get through the sticky parts, you'll be just fine.

1 Horcrux mystery

Via: tumblr.com
Via: tumblr.com

This hits us in the feels because it literally just dawned on us that this could have happened. Granted, Harry wasn't old enough to know about this secret inside of him. It's probably best that he didn't die at this time because Dumbledore wouldn't have been able to talk to him and guide him back to reality. We get that Phoenix tears have healing powers, but we don't understand how they're that strong. Like, can they really mend a broken Horcrux? How is that even possible? We really need to get JKR on the phone; this is going to bother us for the rest of our lives (or until she answers this).

Also, the Horcrux should have fought back! That's what they all do! Ugh, maybe it didn't because it was inside of Harry and Harry was always so kind and guarded? Or, maybe it's because the basilisk didn't bite Harry's scar? That's where the source of the Horcrux was, anyway. Maybe Harry needed to acknowledge the fact that he was a Horcrux before it killed him? We need answers...now!
