If you don't already know who Dylan O'Brien is, it's pretty safe to say you probably will soon enough. Although his breakout role on Teen Wolf is coming to an end, the 25-year-old has a lot in store for the future. After taking a few months off from filming The Maze Runner following a car accident that he was in last year, we're excited to see that he's back to work and feeling better. We can't wait to see what this young star brings to the movies and TV shows he's in once Teen Wolf comes to an end. Whether you've loved him since he was in The First Time or just started binge watching Teen Wolf, keep reading to see 15 reasons why we're totally in love with Dylan O'Brien.

15 He's Close With His Family

Is there anything better than a guy who's close to his family? When Dylan's older sister, Julia, posted this throwback of the two of them on Instagram for #NationalSiblingDay, Dylan's fans were absolutely swooning over how cute the siblings were. We can't blame them, either, because this is pretty adorable. While some celebs should be hiding their baby pictures from the Internet and thanking puberty for giving them a helping hand in the looks department, it's pretty clear from this picture that Dylan has always been absolutely adorable since he was a kid. It's good to know that on top of being funny and talented, Dylan is a great younger brother, too. We can't imagine having a famous sibling is easy, but we're sure having one that's so great makes it all worth it.

14 He Loves Comic Books

http://elenaxrodriguez.tumblr.com/post/158798929326/if-you-could-be-any-superhero-who-would-you-be

These days, everyone loves superheroes. Or at least it seems that way between Netflix coming out with their own original series like Daredevil and the seemingly never-ending stream of superhero movies like The Avengers and all its sequels, they're everywhere. It's more of a surprise to me lately when someone doesn't have a super strong opinion on their favorite superhero or whether or not they did a good job casting a certain movie. It's oddly shocking when someone doesn't care about the casting of the new Spider-Man movie or how bad Suicide Squad was since most people do care.

Unfortunately for Dylan, despite the rumors that he was potentially going to be the next Spider-Man, he stated that he didn't get to audition. That doesn't stop him from being a huge fan, though. Plus, who knows what could be in store for him in the future.

13 He's Hilarious

https://obriengifs.tumblr.com/post/159384112737#notes

Having a good sense of humor can instantly make a person cooler to me. If they're just not funny or don't understand most jokes, I probably won't like them all that much. What's a world without laughter, anyway? When it comes to most celebrities, they all come across as kind of bland to me. And I won't care about following them no matter how cool their Instagram pictures are. It's even more true if it's someone I know in real life—I definitely won't want to be friends with them if they're a drag. Sharing a sense of humor with someone you spend time with is really important!

Although Dylan may not be as active on social media as other celebrities (he doesn't have an Instagram and often goes months without touching his Twitter!), he's still hilarious in interviews.

12 He Plays The Drums

https://obriengifs.tumblr.com/post/159510335732#notes

When Dylan isn't acting, he's also talented in other areas like music. On top of playing the drums, he can also play the piano and the guitar. How cool is that? When he was in high school, he started a band called 'Slow Kids at Play' with his friends and played the drums in the band. (You can look their music up on YouTube or even buy their album on Spotify!) We might be a little biased—because we love Dylan in general—but their music was pretty good. Unfortunately, a couple years ago, he mentioned in an interview that his friends replaced him in the band by letting someone else join them to play the drums. The worst part of all of it? They told him over Snapchat! How rude. Oh, well, I think what he's doing now is a little more important.

11 He's Generally Adorable

http://ryankelleys.tumblr.com/post/97728849317/dylan-catching-a-fly

Honestly, there is nothing in the world I relate to less than this. I can't stand bugs. I don't care if they're big or small, spiders or butterflies - I just want them all to stay away from me. I dislike them so much that I don't even squish them or pick them up to take them outside, I just watch them walking or flying around and hope they don't come too close to me because I will run away. Even though I can't stand bugs, this is still adorable for some reason. I don't know why, but seeing Dylan totally interrupting an interview in order to catch a fly and watch it crawl on his hand is precious. Maybe it's how gentle he is? It's like those videos of parents putting their baby's glasses on them for the first time; how can we not all sigh in awe?

10 Seriously, Thanks Internet

http://dylanobrien.tumblr.com/post/158748340843/theres-an-excellent-sort-of-indiana-jones-moment

This is honestly so true. Whether it's a movie, a new TV series, or a video game, the people of the Internet find some way to hype it up so much that it's not even exciting anymore. There are shows I still haven't seen because whenever I go on an app or a website, people are talking about a particular show. Why even begin a series if I know all of the characters already and what happens?? I don't know, personally, I can't get that excited over a new release. After a while, instead of making me more and more excited to see, read, or play whatever it is, I just start to get annoyed about it. Like, seriously, I get that it's good or that a new trailer came out, but it just gets so tiring to hear about the same anticipated movies and shows over and over.

9 He's Awkward Sometimes

http://dyjanobrien.tumblr.com/post/156995501621/how-to-be-smooth-a-guide-by-dylan-obrien

Sometimes, when I get bored and I'm at home doing nothing, I pretend that I'm a famous celebrity and am busy doing interviews. Or, if I'm cooking, I'll pretend I'm on a Food Network show and act like I'm explaining to the audience how to make the mashed potatoes or whatever it is that I'm cooking. I know it's weird, but I'm sure plenty of other people do it, too. So I'm not totally alone, right? I hope so! When I do those things, I'm all suave and know all the correct answers to the questions I'm asking myself and, I can't lie, it's pretty impressive. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure if I was actually famous, it would be more like this GIF-set. It's always reassuring to know that even famous people can be a little awkward sometimes.

8 He's Nice To Fans

http://dyjanobrien.tumblr.com/post/158045662451/im-glad-you-did

Seeing the way some celebrities interact with fans is just too cute for words. I know there are some celebrities who are notoriously snippy and rude with fans, but the ones that are nice really make up for it. Even if they just do something super basic like take a picture with them or stop to sign something - it obviously makes the fan's day and it's really nice to see. It's obviously can't take much for a celebrity to stop for one second to take a picture with a fan or scribble their autograph onto a picture. Celebs don't need to stay for 10 minutes, all we ask for is a simple picture and maybe a hug... That's why I totally don't understand these horror stories about other celebrities being such divas about meeting fans. News flash: you would be NOTHING without your fans.

7 His Interviews Are Never Boring

https://obriengifs.tumblr.com/post/159304701077/spideycentral-you-need-to-watch-this-interview#notes

Some celebrity interviews can be so boring and basic. Let's liven it up, people! It's nothing against the actors, models, or athletes because, even if they're really fun and charismatic outside of that interview, if the person asking questions is boring, the whole thing will just be so dull. When Dylan was promoting the second movie in The Maze Runner series, he totally avoided that problem and had some truly hilarious interviews. Some of them had the cast playing games and YouTube challenges, and in others, like this one, the interviewer pretended to be someone who worked at WICKED, the evil government agency from the movie series. The whole interview was bizarre and hilarious, but the fact that Dylan was so funny and went along with the weird questions made it so funny and worth watching.

6 He's A Talented Actor

http://dylanobrien.tumblr.com/post/159765313393/a-few-years-ago-dylan-obrien-was-asked-what-he

With Teen Wolf coming to an end, Dylan's fans have been eagerly watching his career moves to see what he does after leaving the show. Will he continue to be in comedy-drama crossovers, like Teen Wolf and The First Time? Or will he keep doing Sci-Fi and action movies like The Maze Runner and Deepwater Horizon? His newest trailer that was released seemed to answer all our questions. American Assassin is set to come out this September, and fans everywhere are excited for his next role. While it's definitely nothing like his past projects, it's still exciting to see his skills at work! And luckily for Dylan (and all his fans), it's getting great reviews. Although Dylan said he didn't think he would ever be cast in any kind of intense action movie, this definitely proves he belongs in them.

5 He Loves Animals

Although Dylan doesn't really use his Twitter account all that often, he tweets some pretty great things when he does. And he really doesn't waste too many tweets on saying all kinds of different things that he could just cram into one tweet. Talk about efficiency! Some people I follow will tweet 15 times to tell a single story that could have been cut down into fewer words (or in this case, tweets). It honestly gets a little annoying sometimes to scroll through my timeline, and be like, "Okay, cool, no one cares enough about the people you've seen while running errands to read this entire thread about it."

Meanwhile, Dylan could tweet over a hundred times about his dog, Maggie, and we would totally read every last one of them. We'd probably even re-tweet it, too.

4 He's The Best Part Of 'Teen Wolf'

https://obriengifs.tumblr.com/post/159135067282#notes

Since it first premiered, Dylan has played Scott McCall's sarcastic sidekick on MTV's werewolf drama, Teen Wolf. Although the show has become somewhat infamous for having a revolving door of characters coming and going, Dylan's character, Stiles, has been one of the few that has stuck around for the whole six seasons. Last year, Dylan was in a car accident while filming a different movie he was in and, unfortunately, wasn't in very much of the first half of the show's final season. Now, fans are left wondering whether he'll be back for the second half or if the departure Stiles took before the mid-season break was permanent. Either way, he is definitely the best part of this popular show and the finale wouldn't be the same without him.

3 Literally All Of Us Under Pressure

http://dailydob.tumblr.com/post/159072194901

I'm not sure what the actual context of these GIFs was, but I still relate to it.

In high school, whenever I had to take a test, I would skip the questions that I didn't know and go back to them later. Unfortunately, after I answered all the ones I knew, those ones I skipped were still there waiting for me. It like I thought if I just ignored them, they would go away, but they didn't. So then, I had to go back to them and just kind of guess my way through them. Along with creating false "work" to prove to my teacher that I knew what I was doing, even though I didn't. And by that time, it was normally close to the end of class, so I had to hurry at the same time. Basically, I was sitting at my desk talking to myself like Dylan's doing in these GIFs.

2 His Old YouTube Videos Were Hilarious

http://starfyre.tumblr.com/post/136987819987

Dylan said that when he was 12 years old, he moved from New Jersey to California and didn't have a lot of friends. Because of it, his parents bought him a video camera and it sort of became his only friend. He started filming videos that he uploaded to his YouTube channel (moviekidd826), and still has quite a few of them left public for people to watch now! They're all hilarious and it's so funny seeing Dylan from when he was a teenager, because he pretty much hasn't changed a bit.

If it weren't for those videos, Dylan might not even be acting now! Apparently, someone in Manhattan Beach, saw the videos and approached him about being in a short series they were producing.

1 He Doesn't Take Himself Too Seriously

http://lydiamartins.tumblr.com/post/157484848476

The second half of season three in Teen Wolf was pretty creepy. Up until then, the show had been mostly comedy with some scary episodes or scenes. Even then, most of the scary scenes came across a little bit cheesy and silly. The show was originally sort of a remake of the '80s movie of the same name, but it's definitely drifted away from that since it started. Dylan has spent the past six seasons playing Stiles Stilinski, the main character's best friend and the comedic relief of the series. In season 3B, Stiles' position as the funny best friend was set aside when he was possessed by a demon from Japanese mythology and it got a little scarier. No matter how creepy and serious the show turned, Dylan didn't take the role too seriously and still found time to make jokes about it.
