Taylor Swift is one of the world’s most well-known singers. She started with sappy love songs in Nashville and has gone on to be regarded as a true pop star and one of the best-selling artists of all time, selling more than 40 million albums. Time even named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world (twice!)...but having influence isn’t always a good thing. In the midst of dating numerous men and writing a couple of songs about these men, Taylor has also been fighting with other stars, making fashion mistakes, bragging about her famous friends, deciding if she’s actually a feminist or not and making really bad music videos. And all of this action has been thrown across the cover of magazines, all over social media and really just everywhere... even though she is the worst.

10 When she fought with Kanye West

First things first - the Kanye vs. Taylor battle...When will it end? Way back in 2009, these two gave us one of the most memorable VMA moments ever, when Kanye interrupted T-Swift during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video. Now, all these years later, it is clear that the two may have some bad blood (but not THE “Bad Blood”...more on that later). In Kanye’s song “Famous”, he says that he thinks he and Taylor might still have sex, since he made her famous. She came back at this during another acceptance speech, for Album of the Year at the Grammys, reminding young women to push past those who may try to undercut your success.

Thennn, Kim Kardashian-West released footage of Taylor giving the green light for Kanye’s lyrics. Of course, Taylor just responded with lyrics of her own, calling out Kanye in “Innocent” and saying that he was still growing up.

9 When she couldn’t pick a genre

In 2006, Taylor Swift’s debut album included hits like “Our Song”, which made her the youngest person to write and perform a number-one song on the Hot Country Songs chart. Catch that? COUNTRY. All of a sudden, acoustic guitar-filled tunes like “Love Story" and "You Belong with Me" were replaced with bubbly-sounding things like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble".This girl worked her way into the music career - a big feat - but she started in Nashville and now plays...everywhere. She won every country music award out there - and still does! - then just decided one day to ditch the guitar, curly hair and cowboy boots. She traded it all in for crop tops (again - more on that later), world pop tours and a funky bob. So...what is she?

8 When she upset(s) feminists.

Recently, Taylor told social media that she had so much love, pride and respect for those who marched for women’s rights. Plenty of other stars, such as Madonna and Miley Cyrus, also speak out on the issue...and these stars actually attended the march(es). Therefore, Tay gets criticized for only being a feminist when it’s convenient. She even said that being friends with Lena Dunham has made her realize that she’s been taking a feminist stance without actually saying so. She doesn’t like that people find men with a string of lovers that they cast aside fun and sexy, yet women who are serial daters (like Taylor has been called) are considered sluts. She does like, though, that she can stand up with her girl squad (more on that later) in a feminist way.

7 When she was mean to John Mayer

Love him or hate him (love him), John Mayer is a beautiful soul who creates beautiful songs. As an artist - and a human! - he is also an emotional being. In “Dear John”, she sang about being a victim in her 2009 relationship with him. She made him out to be a manipulative jerk. He may seem like a nonchalant cool guy (not a jerk!), but years later, he said he was humiliated by the song and never did anything to deserve such a lousy thing. We get that Taylor draws inspiration for music from life (more on that later), but could she have maybe been a little more subtle, without calling him out by his name…?

6 When she was mean to Katy Perry

Drama is everywhere, and stars can’t escape it just because they are famous. In fact, with all the performing, money, paparazzi and attention, stars can actually never really escape drama. They can, however, try to keep all of it concealed, since they can go home, turn off the computer and just be normal human beings (if only for a bit). Not Taylor Swift, though. When backup dancers made the wrong decision between going on Taylor's 2012 world tour or sticking with Katy Perry, Taylor stopped following them on Twitter and shut down any chance they would have to tour with her for “Red”. It didn’t end there, though, of course. In 2014, Taylor released “Bad Blood” to tell the story of how her loving friendship with Katy went downhill.

4 When she tricked people into liking Apple (or tried to)

In 2015, it seemed Taylor was being a hero. She said that Apple should give more money to the artists whose songs they were selling, and she refused to give them “1989”. This prompted Apple to immediately update their policies, helping out musicians everywhere. But then, a short time later, Taylor was seen in an Apple commercial. So...she wrote a fake and long music-related post, Apple changed their system quickly (because they knew when she was going to create the post, since the two had apparently already discussed it, so they were at the ready), and then the two went into advertising together, because that was the money-driven plan the whole time…?

3 When she filmed that Apple commercial

The acts leading up to the ad for Apple were bad enough, but the commercial itself...Yikes. Taylor is a gangly white girl, and she seems to play up that awkward, “normal”, girl-next-door thing. Just...stop, though...please. In the Apple commercial, she is dancing while running on a treadmill, and then she falls off. It is supposed to send a message that Apple products are “distractingly good”, but how many people have been so wrapped up in a Drake song that they are flailing around so much they faceplant?Only on YouTube and in this commercial, where people are desperately trying to get attention, money and views. Taylor’s relate-to-my-awkwardness game is beyond played out, and it definitely will not make us want to buy more iPods or Apple watches.

2 When she wasn’t as good as the classics

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but surely the majority of the world can agree that classics are better than some of the crap that’s around today: Channels like MTV, toys like Barbies and Hot Wheels and movies like “Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory” are just a few examples of older versions that are better than newer ones. Taylor Swift definitely falls into this category, too - for two reasons. First off, as mentioned, she started out as a country singer, and, as hard as it is to admit, her country charm was kind of cute. The pop diva version of Taylor is not cute. The main reason Tay falls into this category, though, is because of her singing, since people like Whitney Houston are famous for voices that need no assistance or flashy lights or stupid videos.

1 When she was boring

T-Swift admitted that she repeats clothing options she like for years, but will she ever admit that all of her songs and all of her love life is the same thing on repeat? It’s hard to even think back to her first relationship or think about her current relationship, because it’s like keeping up with who all has died on “Game Of Thrones”! We see photos of her and a new guy...and then we get a song about it. New guy, new song, new guy, new song...expect the songs really aren’t new. They all sound similar, they all come with embarrassing videos, they all manage to win too many awards, they all play on every freakin’ radio station, and they all tell the story of a some guy who apparently messed up and is no longer in Taylor Swift’s life.
