Love Island Season 2

'Love Island' has become the newest reality show that just about everyone is talking about! The show airs on CBS and features a group of men and women participating in a series of challenges and tasks with a fellow castmate that they continue to swap over in a bid to meet none only the love of their life, but a cash prize of $100,000! This show is very similar to that of Netflix' 'Too Hot To Handle', but is far more an original idea.

The show itself, which is currently in its second season in the United States, is the American adaptation of the UK version of 'Love Island'. The show first began in 2015 in England and has finally made its way over to the US. The contestants on the British version of the show make £250 per week, which comes up to nearly $350. Considering the cash prize on the American version comes in at nearly double the amount, it is believed that the cast on the most recent version makes upward to $500 per week.

Fans have been obsessing over the most recent season, claiming it to be one of the biggest guilty pleasures there are. In addition to completing tasks and challenges throughout the season, viewers are also able to vote for their favorite couples in order to edge them both closer to that lovely $100,000 cash prize, which is obviously split between the two winners.

While the main goal would be to make it to the finish line and collect the grand prize, it is beneficial for cast members to try and stay in the house for as long as possible in order to accumulate as much of those weekly stipends as possible. Considering the season can last up to 40 days, this gives some contestants the chance to make an additional 6 weeks worth of cash. With the stipend set at $500 a week, this would come in at an extra $3,000 for players, which isn't too shabby for the experience and the exposure.
