KUWTK star and SKIMS creator Kim Kardashian is reportedly "upset" after her to-be ex-husband, rapper Kanye West’s new album Donda featured some questionable lyrics.
In June 2021, Kim filed for divorce from Kanye, seeking joint custody over their four children North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Regardless of their personal equation, the media personality has been supportive of Kanye’s work and more recently, his new album, and went as far as putting on a wedding dress to help promote it.
Kanye’s Song Lyrics Are Upsetting Kim
The rapper’s anticipated tenth studio album Donda released on August 29. The lyrics of Hurricane in particular has fans wondering if Kanye just alluded to cheating on his wife after they welcomed their two children, North and Saint.
The lyrics in question are: “Here I go actin’ too rich / Here I go with a new chick / And I know what the truth is / Still playin’ after two kids / It’s a lot to digest when your life always movin’.”
A source revealed to HollywoodLife that Kim Kardashian isn’t very fond of Kanye’s honesty at the moment.
“Kim doesn’t want Kanye to air out their dirty laundry,” the source shared with the publication, adding “She is repeatedly getting hurt by his right to speech.”
The source further revealed that the “dirty laundry” Kanye is airing, has brought back “memories” of the rapper’s past comments that he made about their daughter’s abortion, at his political rally in July last year.
In the same song, Kanye also seemingly referenced the couple’s Los Angeles mansion and how he “never went home to it”. In the finale of the Kardashian-Jenner reality television series, Kim confessed that the couple lived separately and they got along better because of it.
Living in different states from each other worked well for the couple initially, however, something changed when Kim turned 40. She said in the finale episode: "After turning 40 this year, I realized, no. I don't want a husband that lives in a completely different state."
Kardashian has promised to pursue “total happiness” and wherever it may lead her and made the decision to do so on her birthday in October 2020.
