Fans Can't Wait To See Darth Vader And Obi-Wan Together

The Mandalorian has set quite the benchmark for the upcoming slate of Star Wars television series from Disney+. In Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars favorites Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen return to portray the legendary Jedi master and the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader aka Anakin Skywalker.

Star Wars fans are thrilled to see the duo return!

@ShivamChatak wrote, "Imagine if there's a flashback scene of Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker and Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi in their clone wars armour."

There have been several online reports creating conversation about the Jedi suiting up in their prequel armour, but there's no poster to confirm the news yet.

@vadersanakin shared, "they're [Christensen and McGregor] the best we could ever ask for."

@sw_holocron reiterated that prequel actors Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will be reprising their roles as Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru. The series is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and in that particular timeline, the couple was raising a young Luke Skywalker.

Their casting suggests Star Wars fans might have the chance to see the character return since his epic cameo in The Mandalorian!

Other cast members include Indira Varma who is rumored to portray Satine, Moses Ingram, Kumail Nanjiani, Sung Kang, Benny Safdie and O'Shea Jackson Jr. Obi-Wan Kenobi is slated to premiere in December 2021, and will be directed by Deborah Chow who spearheaded two critically acclaimed episodes of The Mandalorian season 1.

In the closing moments of Revenge of the Sith, fans saw Obi-Wan Kenobi prepare as he went into hiding on Tattooine. The series is set a decade later, so it'll be interesting to see where the venerable Jedi master goes next!
