Seth MacFarlane might consider himself lucky in certain circumstances, but it doesn't look like he has much luck in dating. MacFarlane said that he's a bit like his famous Family Guy character, Brian Griffin, but he has dated. He just hasn't found the one yet. It is a bit concerning that he hasn't found that special person yet, though. Who wouldn't want to date a funny, successful celebrity who doesn't seem to age? Here's what we know about MacFarlane's love life.

MacFarlane Has Dated A Lot Of Women

MacFarlane has dated a lot of women throughout his career. There are many rumors, but he's dated co-stars and fellow celebrities casually for years. Speaking to The Daily Princetonian in 2004, MacFarlane said, "I have some Brian-type issues from time to time—looking for the right person—but I date as much as the next guy."

Datingceleb.com reports a full list of women that have been romantically connected to MacFarlane. He dated Nicole Sullivan from 1998 to 2000, then Christa Campbell and Jessica Barth in 2006, Camille Guaty and Kat Foster the next year, and Amanda Bynes (there was a big age gap) and Eliza Dushku (Faith from Buffy the Vampire Slayer?) in 2008. In 2009, he dated Katie Sah and Kaylee DeFer, Trisha Cummings from 2010 to 2012, and Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke from 2012 to 2013. He was also connected to Halston Sage in 2017.

According to The Talko, MacFarlane also dated Alexis Knapp. "It’s been going on for a little while. It’s very casual, but they are hanging out, and he is having fun with her," sources told E! News at the time. "They always had good chemistry. He thinks she’s really talented. Alexis’ star is on the rise. They've known each other for three years and have been getting closer for over a year."

MacFarlane Dated Emilia Clarke

Fans were surprised to discover that MacFarlane and Clarke were dating after spotting them together at an HBO Emmy after party in September 2012. Clarke was in attendance because she was still starring on HBO's Game of Thrones. Clarke later confirmed the dating rumors and told Glamour that a fan questioned their relationship when they came up to her for a selfie.

Speaking about the troubles of dating someone in the public eye, Clarke said, "Well, a con is you have strangers giving you love-life advice like, 'I'm a big fan of the show, and I'm not sure what you're doing with that guy,' which I didn't react well to. That happened in New York when Seth and I were together. This guy started to give me advice: 'Can I get a selfie? And by the way…' Unh-unh, bro."

Ultimately, it was their busy schedules that came between them. "It was really a location challenge," a source told E! News. "She has been in Europe shooting Game of Thrones, and he is based in California, so it was hard to make it work despite the distance. They have remained friends." Meanwhile, MacFarlane has done nothing but praise Clarke, telling Entertainment Weekly that she's "an incredibly kind, supremely talented person and one of the hardest-working people I have ever met."

"It’s a pain in the a** because if you date, at a certain point, you’re in a relationship, and at a certain point, you’re playing the field. It becomes this thing of trying to find places where you can have some privacy, where you’re not going to be accosted by people and suddenly linked to someone as if you’re in a serious relationship," MacFarlane continued about struggling with dating in Hollywood.

He's Reportedly Dating Anne Winter

According to the site Creeto, MacFarlane is dating his Orville co-star Anne Winter. Apparently, they went Instagram official when Winter posted a picture of them cuddling and watching a movie in Dec. 2020. Back in 2017, MacFarlane dated another one of his Orville co-star, Halston Sage. They were seen on a couple of dinner dates, but their relationship seemed to fizzle out around the time Sage left the show after two seasons, without any explanation.

"I completely trust our writers and producers," she said of her abrupt exit. "I think everything happens for a reason." We don't know much more about their relationship or MacFarlane's relationship with Winter, but we hope he finds his match soon. It seems that being a celebrity and having such a busy schedule is the main reason for his many failed relationship attempts.

But maybe he'll be like George Clooney, who married his wife Amal later in life. Now they have twins. Or maybe Cameron Diaz, who married Benji Madden only six years ago. They recently welcomed their first daughter too. One thing is for sure, MacFarlane will be a great partner and father one day. He's a family guy.
