9 Vision Won’t Return

WandaVision
via Disney+

A mini-series based on the sweet relationship between Scarlet Witch and Vision, WandaVision delighted Disney+ subscribers as soon as it landed. Only intended to have one season, fans weren’t necessarily expecting a surprise return of the series. However, one leak has to do with Vision returning at all.

In a report by Mike Doyle on MCU-Initiative, he says he was told “Vision will not show up again past this show.” This confirms the show will not continue past the first and only season, but the wording is ambiguous. Is it possible WandaVision is the last we’ll see of Vision forever?

8 Matt Murdock/Daredevil Appearance

Within the complex storyline of Spider-Man: No Way Home, there’s a chance we’ll see an unexpected guest appearance of the comic book character Matt Murdock, known as Daredevil. Reportedly, Charlie Cox will play the role.

The appearance of Matt Murdock is small, finished in a matter of a few minutes. It’s still unclear whether the character will be donning the iconic red costume or whether he will be acting as Peter’s lawyer. Could it be both, leaving the door open for MCU to expand on the Daredevil storyline?

7 Spider-Man Reunion

Over the last 20 years, there have been three actors to take on the role of Spider-Man: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland, with Holland being the most recent face. As a special treat, it sounds like there will be a reunion of the Spider-Men in the upcoming film Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Initially, Marvel refuted claims the three actors would meet. However, it sounds like Maguire will show up for around 10 to 15 minutes and Garfield will be on screen for around 20 minutes, according to MCU-Initiative. Early reports of the rapport of the three is positive, with Holland and Garfield having a particularly great working relationship.

6 Ryan Reynolds Vs. Marvel

There is some interesting gossip coming from the team working on Deadpool 3. According to Inverse, Reynolds and the studio are at odds over who should direct the film. While Marvel is reportedly pushing for Robert Rodriguez, Reynolds wants Shawn Levy, the director behind Free Guy and Adam Project.

An interesting fact about Deadpool 3, it will be the only film in the MCU that has been adapted from 20th Century Studios. Expectedly edgy and colorful, predictions are that Deadpool 3 will be rated R, making it the first MCU film to receive an R rating. Speaking of R ratings…

5 MCU Moving Towards R Ratings

The MCU is a product of Marvel Studios, which is a subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios. Because of this partnership with Disney, all the MCU films and shows have stayed within certain boundaries as far as their content maturity. But it sounds like they might be making a surprising move to more mature content.

According to BGR, an MCU leak that’s circulating is claiming that Disney wants to move into the more mature R rating with some of its MCU films. Apparently, the Marvel Max or Marvel R brand could be led by John Landgraf, who Disney is trying to steal away from FX.

4 ‘Deadpool Vs. Predator’

Beloved for his tongue-in-cheek, deadpan humor, Ryan Reynold’s character, Deadpool, could be facing a resurrected character: Predator. BGR reported that Disney could attempt a reboot of the Predator franchise by pitting Predator against Deadpool in a full-length film.

This leak was one of the many published on 4chan and has to be taken with a grain of salt. However, it would give Disney the chance to expand into the R-rated film category and could open the door to bringing back the Predator franchise.

3 Fantastic Four Teaser

In the upcoming family-focused film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, we get an unlikely cameo by the character Reed Richards, better known as Mr. Fantastic. In this quick appearance, the door to the Fantastic Four franchise is opened again.

Another popular rumor about the Fantastic Four reboot focuses on another married couple: John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. Fans are begging for these two to star as the superhero couple of the Fantastic Four. We won’t know for a while - they are still looking for writers to work with Jon Watts.

2 Hawkeye Retires For Good

Via: ComicBook

A stoic, laser-focused character, Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, has been a foundational character for the Avengers. Fans were excited when Disney announced Hawkeye, a series focused on the Clint Barton/Hawkeye character. But it sounds like this could be the end of Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye in the MCU.

ScreenGeek reports that in the show, Hawkeye will be asked to join John Walker’s US Agents team, but will ultimately decide to retire. Instead, Kate Bishop joins the US Agents team. In a way, this is Clint Barton to pass the Hawkeye torch to Kate Bishop, leading to the departure of Jeremy Renner. There are even some rumors that Renner requested to be booted from the MCU because of the lack of storyline for his character.

1 Mutants Make An Appearance

A group that has seemingly been kept separate from the MCU is the Mutants. But soon, the Mutants will be making an appearance. ScreenGeek reported a leak that indicates the inclusion of the Mutants in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. But that’s not all!

By introducing the Mutants in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel is paving the road to a film. Inside The Magic reports The Mutants film is projected for 2025.
