6 Steve Irwin

Steve’s daughter Bindi Irwin had her daughter Grace Warrior Irwin Powell with husband Chandler Powell in March of this year. Bindi explained the babies middle names on Instagram stating “Warrior Irwin are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior.” While Steve may not be able to meet his adorable grandbaby, both her uncle Robert and grandma Terri are there to give Grace lots of love and teach her about the Irwin legacy. “Being Grace’s uncle is awesome!” Robert posted on Instagram. “I feel so honoured that I’ll get to share all the amazing experiences that I had growing up ina zoo, and teach her about theverything from rescuing wildlife to caring for our family of animals!”

5 Catherine Zeta-Jones And Michael Douglas

This power couple met their newest grandson Ryder T. Douglas in January of this year. Michael’s son Cameron Douglas and girlfriend Viviane Thibes also have a daughter, Lua, who is 3. Michael posted a sweet photo on Instagram of him cradling Ryder feeding him a bottle. Catherine also posted to her Instagram story welcoming the newest Douglas to the world. Zak took to Instagram to talk about his love of fatherhood stating "As a dad of two vibrant children, including a newborn, focusing on Fatherhood has to be a top priority."

4 Gayle King

CBS Morning broadcast host Gayle King announced on air last week that her daughter Kirby Bumpus welcomed her first baby with husband Virgil Miller. Luca Lynn Miller is a healthy baby boy and is Gayle’s new favorite grandson. Gayle announced in April on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her daughter was expecting a baby saying “Ellen, I’m going to be a grandmother and I can’t wait!” Gayle stated on her CBS broadcast “I wanted to be a grandmother for a long time, and it’s reallt something when you see your own child become a parent.” She said keeping the secret was so hard, but was happy to finally share the news with the world.

3 Melissa Gilbert

Melissa’s son Dakota Brinkman and wife Marissa welcomed baby girl Ripley Lou Brinkman on June 8, and according to Southern Living, “Grandma Gilbert is ecstatic.” The Little House on the Prarie actress posted several photos of the baby on Instagram with the caption “So proud of my son Dakota and his wife @martobes. She was a warrior through the whole process and he was the perfect partner to her. Next up, traveling to Texas to meet our new granddaughter.” Melissa also said in a recent post that “my feed is going to get boring if you’re not into babies.” So if you are a follower- beware of the cuteness overload.

2 Robin Williams

Williams oldest son Zak Williams welcomed a baby girl this summer, Zola June, with wife Olivia June. His daughter was born 2 years after son McLaurin “Mickey” Clement, named after Robin whose middle name was McLaurin. While the late actor is no longer around to meet his precious grandchildren, Zak wrote in an Instagram post honoring his fathers 70th birthday that “Our family will be celebrating you and your memory today.” As for Zak, he is also praised as a father. In a Fathers Day post from Olivia, she says "Mickey and Zola are so lucky to grow up with you as their role model, as their caretaker, as their forever friend, as their champion, as their teacher, as their dad."

1 Queen Elizabeth

This british monarch became a great grandmother for the second time this year. Both Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice welcomed babies into this world in 2021. Megan Markle delivered her and Prince Harry’s second child on June 4th in Santa Barbara, California. Her name is Lilibet after a nickname for Queen Elizabeth herself, and her middle name is Diana to honor her beloved late grandmother. Princess Beatrice also had a baby girl on September 18th, and according to StyleCaster, she has already “met Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Andrew, the Duchess of York as well as other grandparents and great-grandparents.” The 2 girls are only months old and are already in line for the crown behind their parents.
