In the world of celebrities, there is a certain hierarchy that we recognize. At the very top are the A-listers. Essentially, they are the elite. A-listers are comprised of the most powerful and most influential in the entertainment scene. People follow them. People admire them. And more importantly, people buy just about anything associated with them.
Today, some of the most recognized A-list celebrities include George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Beyoncé, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Lady Gaga, Nicole Kidman, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Adam Sandler, Natalie Portman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Vin Diesel, David Beckham and many more. Meanwhile, on the other end of the spectrum are the C-list celebrities. Sure, they can be recognizable. However, they are not exactly the most famous people in the entertainment scene today.
Unfortunately, some of these C-list celebs tend to have an attitude and an ego too. Just check out our list of 10 C-list egomaniacs, along with five A-listers who are total sweethearts:
15 C-List Egomaniac: Amanda Bynes
Over the years, we have witnessed Amanda Bynes’ rise to fame and eventual downfall. Back in 2013, TMZ reported that the actress was rejected from a private jet after failing to show proper government identification. According to the report, Bynes had ordered the pilot to Google her to verify her identity while screaming, “I’m Amanda Bynes!”
14 C-List Egomaniac: January Jones
What seems to be clear is that January Jones is one actress that is hard to get along with. In fact, a New York Times profile on the “Mad Men” star pointed out that making her smile can be difficult. Meanwhile, during one interview, Jones recalled not getting along with some girls in high school saying, “The bitches in high school were bitches because I was pretty.”
13 C-List Egomaniac: Claire Danes
Claire Dane’s arrogant attitude came out in full display after she filmed the movie “Brokedown Palace” in the Philippines. During an interview with Premiere magazine, Danes claimed that Manila “smelled of cockroaches, with rats all over, and that there is no sewerage system, and the people do not have anything - no arms, no legs, no eyes.” Her comments stirred a lot of backlash in Hollywood. Actor Tom Hanks told Entertainment Tonight, “Those are irresponsible, bigoted and sweeping statements Claire Danes made. Meanwhile, “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow told MTV 1515 News, “Her remarks were uncalled for.”
12 C-List Egomaniac: Katherine Heigl
Katherine Heigl is one actress who faced a lot of heat following her decision to remove herself from Emmy consideration for her role in the hit ABC tv series “Grey’s Anatomy.” An anonymous source also told The Hollywood Reporter that Heigl was difficult to work with on the set of “Life as We Know It.” The source recalled, “She can cost you time every single day of shooting. Wardrobe issues, not getting out of the trailer, questioning the script every single day. Even getting her deal closed … was hard. She hit that point of 'no.'”
11 C-List Egomaniac: Miles Teller
During an interview with Esquire's Anna Peele, Miles Teller reportedly pointed out that the highball glass was modeled after his manly business. He also went on to tell one (unfortunate) waitress the same thing. Later on, in the interview, Teller also remarked, “I was thinking about that today, how I probably think I'm better-looking than the public thinks I am.” Later on, he also asked Peele to cut some pork belly for him, right after showing off his back muscles in an iPhone photo.
10 C-List Egomaniac: Edie Campbell
Eddie Campbell is one fashion model who is never shy to give an opinion, even if no one asked for it. At one point, she even spoke out against Victoria’s Secret models. During an interview with Love magazine, Campbell remarked, “I always find Victoria’s Secret models a bit weird. It’s just a load of girls going, 'Look how good my cleavage looks’. It’s purely women offered up to men. Regardless of the reality, I would rather be idealistic and believe women are better than that.”
9 C-List Egomaniac: Azealia Banks
Azealia Banks is one musician who seems to have already feuded with everyone in the music industry. According to Billboard, Banks has previously attacked Lana Del Rey’s personal appearance. Meanwhile, she also went after Cardi B, referring to her as an “illiterate, untalented rat.” Aside from these, Banks also dissed Nicki Minaj, Remy Ma, Iggy Azalea, Rihanna, and Erykah Badu.
8 C-List Egomaniac: Luann de Lesseps
Luann de Lesseps is a supposed countess who stars on the “Real Housewives of New York.” In a blog written by fellow cast member Tinsley Mortimer, de Lesseps is described as “unable to focus on anything other than herself.” Mortimer further wrote, “Luann’s weird entitlement issues don’t appear to be over. Though I have known her for years and know she enjoys the Countess “thing,” I’ve really never seen this degree of arrogance.”
7 C-List Egomaniac: Zooey Deschanel
Reddit user bonbonbabies once wrote about her experience with the “New Girl” actress saying, “So I approached her. It felt like I was in a dream, my heart was racing, it felt too good to be true. So I approach her and tell her that my life has been forever made and that i've [sic] been a fan for long, and shes [sic] like "ok." she's not making eye contact or anything, she's looking down and trying to ignore me.”
6 C-List Egomaniac: Lindsay Lohan
During a 2011 feature on Plum Miami on Lindsay Lohan, writer Jacquelynn D. Powers recalled, “As we pulled up to the Fontainebleau, a bright-orange parking cone was blocking the entrance. Not accustomed to waiting, apparently, she lowered the car’s window and shouted, ‘Move that cone. I’m Lindsay Lohan.’ And it was done. This foreshadowed the arrogance and demanding personality she exhibited as her sweet-girl façade started slipping.”
5 A-List Sweetheart: Keanu Reeves
‘John Wick’ star Keanu Reeves is one actor who has often been described as “sweet” and “super-polite.” On Twitter, Reeves was spotted offering his seat to a woman on the subway. Meanwhile, Benjamin Duchek also shared on Twitter,” One of my old soldiers, of whom it is fair to say is struggling with some issues, flew across the country for a book signing with Keanu Reeves, and he was extraordinarily generous with his time and patience with my friend and soldier.”

3 A-List Sweetheart: Samuel L. Jackson
According to user mobiuscydonia on Mean Stars, “I ran into Samuel L. Jackson while running to class at NYU. I literally ran right into him. I picked up my head and just looked at him. He said "don't worry about it brother" and adjusted his purple aussie [sic] hat. I have a painting of that memory in my head that no one will ever see. Haha. too good.”
2 A-List Sweetheart: Angelina Jolie
Sure, Angelina Jolie has long been a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). And in this capacity, she has traveled to several parts of the world to witness the plight of refugees first-hand. But aside from that, Jolie is also someone who is endearing to her fans. In fact, she didn’t even hesitate to chat with other students when the Oscar-winning actress dropped off her oldest son, Maddox, at South Korea’s Yonsei University.
1 A-List Sweetheart: Adam Sandler
According to a post by Brett Holdsworth on Mean Stars, “I was much younger, around 8 or 9 and there was a buffet at my cousins [sic] wedding. I couldn't reach the food I wanted and Adam was next to me. He knelt down and asked for my plate, he then got me everything I wanted, and a bunch of extra dessert [sic]. He was super nice and really nice to my whole family. The reception was awesome and he was sort of quiet but really nice.”
