Survivor is not a game made for the weak. Contestants must endure living out in the wild and finding food, water, and shelter for themselves. They must participate in competitions that challenge their physical and/or mental abilities. Each week they must escape elimination at the hands of their fellow contestants. The winner is awarded 1 million dollars and there can only be one lone survivor.

This reality game show competition premiered on CBS in 2000 and is still on the air. Survivor was rated among the top ten most-watched shows in its first eleven seasons and has been nominated for multiple Emmy awards. The show has cultivated a die-hard fandom that has stayed with the series for over two decades. With that kind of strong backing comes many, many opinions. The deserving winner of past Survivor seasons is still an ongoing debate. Here are the top 10 least deserving winners according to Survivor fans.

10 Chris Underwood: 'Edge Of Extinction' (Season 38)

Fans feel like there was a more deserving winner on Edge of Extinction. Rick Devens dominated the whole season until Underwood took him out before the final tribe was made. If Devens made it to the final four then he would have most likely been the winner of season 38. Chris Underwood was pretty much irrelevant the whole season and played a very low profile game until the end. He was just lucky enough to be the best option out of the final three: him, Gavin, and Julie.

9 Vecepia Towery: 'Marquesas' (Season 4)

This win happened back in 2002 so it's likely many fans forgot about it. But that's not the case for Vecepia Towery. This victory was forgettable because of the lack of game played by Towery. The head honcho on season 4 was Kathy Vavrick O’Brien who was taken out by Neleh who lost to Vecepia Towery in the end. There is a reason why she wasn't asked back for All-Stars.

8 Ben Driebergen: 'Heroes Vs Healers Vs Hustlers' (Season 35)

Ben basically slid through to the win by earning so many hidden idols that he was never up for elimination. His gameplay was not better than his former castmates, Devon Pinto, Chrissy Hofbeck, and even Ryan Ulrich. Driebergen was just never eligible for elimination, therefore the former Marine had it pretty easy.

7 Michele Fitzgerald: 'Kaoh Rong' (Season 32)

If you are unfamiliar with the show Survivor, you may know Michele from MTV's The Challenge: Spies Lies & Allies. Michele, unfortunately, did not even come close to winning her third reality game show competition. As for her time on season 32 of Survivor, Michele was not seen as the most worthy victor. Fans believe Aubry Bracco played a stronger game and "there’s a reason a handful of the winners call her the best Survivor player to never win the game, including Queen Sandra." Michele Fitzgerald may have just been subject to a weak edit since she did return for season 40, Survivor: Winners at War where she placed 2nd runner-up.

6 J.T. Thomas: 'Tocantins' (Season 18)

J.T. may have unanimously won the jury vote, 7-0, but fans unanimously believe that the winner of season 18 should have been Stephen Fischbach. Stephen was the brains behind the whole operation in their alliance and has no money to show for it. J.T. basically got carried to the final by Stephen and beat him out because of a bitter jury. J.T.'s performance in Heroes vs Villains and in Game Changers proved that the win belonged in the hands of Fischbach.

5 Amber Brkich: 'All-Stars' (Season 8)

This season included the iconic Survivor love story between the winner, Amber Brkich, and runner-up, Rob Mariano. Amber and Rob have been married for 14 years and they share four children together. Some fans think that the real winner doesn't matter since they share a joint bank account but others believe Rob should have won in order to complete his resume. This win would have secured Rob as a two-time Survivor champion... Oh well, he got diapers and pacifiers instead.

4 Tina Wesson: 'Australia' (Season 2)

Colby Donaldson made a rookie mistake in season 2 by leading with his heart and not his head. Donaldson chose to take Tina Wesson with him to the final two because she deserved it more than Keith Famie. Tina beat Colby on a 4–3 vote which almost stings more than a complete wipeout. Fans to this day still see Colby Donaldson as the rightful winner.

3 Danni Boatright: 'Guatemala' (Season 11)

To go hand in hand with Miss Vecepia Towery as the most unmemorable winner of Survivor is Danni Boatright. Danni was taken to the end by Stephenie LaGrossa who pulled a Colby Donaldson from season two and brought the wrong players to the final with her. Danni, although irrelevant, was more likable than others and yet another bitter jury robbed another great player in Stephenie.

2 Natalie White: 'Samoa' (Season 19)

When fans think of Samoa they think of Russell Hantz. Russel is "regarded by many as the series' most notorious villain, Russell is infamous for his brash and callous gameplay, deliberately causing chaos at camp, finding several Hidden Immunity Idols unaided by clues, and eliminating his competition as ruthlessly as possible." Natalie White did absolutely nothing out of the ordinary to deserve one million dollars. Russell dominated the season and guess why he lost... another resentful grudge-holding jury.

1 Sandra Diaz-Twine: 'Heroes Vs. Villains' (Season 20)

Out of the final three left in season 20, Heroes vs Villains, Sandra won over savage Russell Hantz and the manipulative flirt, Parvati Shallow. Both of their gameplay surpassed the game itself. Thankfully, Parvati has a win under her belt for Survivor: Micronesia, but Russell has yet to be a Sole Survivor.
