There are always great new Netflix original shows, movies, or documentaries being released each month. While 2020 was a confusing year that flocked many of us to our screens, 2021 is probably going to continue off from the previous year.

Fortunately, there are a plethora of Netflix shows that have confirmed (or rumored) to have a new season coming this year. From the gun-blazing heist-fueled drama Money Heist to psychological-thrilling romance You, here are the top ten shows on Netflix that will get new seasons in 2021, according to What's-On-Netflix.

10 'Money Heist'

Money Heist, also known as La Casa de Papel in its original Spanish version, will continue where it left off during Part 4. Professor, the criminal mastermind behind the legendary Dali-masked group of robbers, is now put in uneasy circumstances between saving his life or that of his crews. While there is no official release date yet, the filming began August 2020.

9 'Stranger Things'

Season 4 of Stranger Things has joined the laundry-list of TV programs that faced uncertainty due to the pandemic restrictions. However, as noted by Digital Spy, actor David Harbour confirmed last year that a new season was "supposed" to come out this year, so fingers crossed! The filming has been restarted at the end of last year, and here's hoping that we'll get some good news in the upcoming months.

8 'Better Call Saul'

Since day one, many were wondering how the Better Call Saul timeline would intertwine beautifully with Breaking Bad, its parent's show. Now that we already have five seasons to tell Jimmy McGill's story on Netflix, Vince Gilligan and co are gearing up for the sixth and final season. As noted from Thrillist, the production has resumed, and if things go right, it's safe to expect a premiere by the end of 2021.

7 'Big Mouth'

The comedy series Big Mouth is another big project to see a new season this year, as Netflix previously confirmed the continuation of the show in 2019. If Big Mouth season 5 follows the traditional, predictable release schedule, it's safe to expect the new season to drop in the fall of 2021.

6 'Cobra Kai'

Previously aired on YouTube Red, Netflix picked up Cobra Kai after the Google-owned video-sharing platform giant decided to cancel it. The brand new third season already came out in January 2021, so fans should sit back and enjoy it. A late 2021 release date  for season four would be too unrealistic, but here's to hoping.

5 'Lucifer'

Thanks to Netflix's acquisition after a disappointing canceling from Fox, Lucifer has shot to be one of the most popular shows around for the time being. The first part of the most recent fifth season dropped in 2020, and it's safe to expect the second part to arrive during the second part of 2021.

4 'You'

Joe Goldberg's last twist from the third season finale of You has left us with so many burning questions. Fortunately, shooting for the fourth season was resumed in the beginning of January, and the ten-episode season is expected to drop in 2021. What could we possibly expect next?

It might be a little while until Otis, Maeve and crew hit our screen again, as the third season of Sex Education is still in the works. Many loose ends still have to be tied up from the second season finale. While there is no release date confirmed yet, some say it is safe to expect an April 2021 release.

2 'Narcos: Mexico'

After Felix Gallardo's capture, DEA's cat-and-mouse game with the Mexican cartel is going to be a bloodbath in the third season of Narcos: Mexico. The first season kicked off in 2018, and it wasn't until two years when the second one dropped. The new boss in town, Amado Carrillo Fuentes, is ready to earn his mark.

1 'Emily In Paris'

Emily Cooper was a young, clueless Midwestern American during the first season of Emily in Paris. Now, she seems to have a clue on what she's doing in the capital of France, and thankfully, the second season is already in the works. Hopefully, the new season will air by late 2021, although early 2022 seems to be a more realistic time frame at this point.

"We hope that by extending her time in Paris, Emily will further the relationships she has already made, delve deeper into our culture, and perhaps pick up a few words of basic French," Netflix confirmed the new season in November 2020, with a quirky note penned by Emily's boss Sylvie.
