Whether we freely and fully admit to watching reality TV (even corny or badly produced shows) or we're still pretending that we don't watch it regularly, everyone has their preferred shows. Maybe we love watching people duke it out in competitions, or we're foodies who love nothing more than watching great chefs, or we're about ladies yelling at each other.
Just like fictional shows, some reality shows will lead to spin-offs if they are successful enough or if one of the stars is deemed marketable enough. And just like any other genre of television, some are awesome... and some are truly bad. Unfortunately for reality TV fans, more than a few would be put in that last category.
Here are 10 reality TV spin-offs we never asked for, along with five that we didn't even know existed.
15 We Never Asked For 'Bethenny Ever After'
Bethenny Ever After is a spin-off of Real Housewives of New York. Starring Bethenny Frankel, it examined her marriage to Jason Hoppy and their family life with their daughter, Brynn.
It was awkward to watch because they had such a bad marriage... and now they're still trying to get divorced.
14 We Don't Need 'Double Shot at Love with DJ Pauly D & Vinny'
Pauly D and Vinny from Jersey Shore have a 2019 reality show... and it's one that we definitely don't need.
It's pretty rough when celebrities star in their own reality shows that focus on dating. Whether they're being set up or they're giving advice, it's never that much fun to watch.
13 We Don't Remember The 'Housewives' Spin-Off 'Date My Ex: Jo & Slade'
Chances are, we've never even heard of the reality spin-off Date My Ex: Jo & Slade. These two were a couple in the early days of Real Housewives of Orange County, but Jo didn't last very long (probably because although she's sweet, she doesn't seem to have a penchant for drama).
This show didn't last long, either. Did anyone even watch it?!
12 And 'Snooki & Jwoww' Wasn't As Good As 'Jersey Shore'
We didn't need Snooki & Jwoww's MTV show, either, and even if we're big fans of these two, we will still stand by that opinion.
Sometimes it's okay to let people stay on the show that made them famous instead of creating a spin-off. That was the case here. It always feels like a pale imitation.
11 Does Anyone Actually Like 'Bachelor In Paradise'?
People who adore The Bachelor (and adore talking about it with their friends even more than actually tuning into the show) would probably admit that the spin-off Bachelor In Paradise isn't necessary.
It's an awkward show, to say the least, and the original is so much better and more fun to be a fan of.
10 We Don't Even Remember 'Manzo'd With Children'
Caroline Manzo was a great feature of Real Housewives Of New Jersey. While we understand that she would get her own spin-off since she's hilarious (and her loud family is great too), the truth is that this was a pretty boring show.
And chances are, we don't even remember that it existed because we might not have even heard of it. It's a spin-off that no one needed.
9 'Teen Mom 3' Definitely Isn't As Good As The Others
We never asked for Teen Mom 3, either. Does anyone even remember this spin-off? That would probably be a no.
It's safe to say that even Teen Mom 2 isn't as memorable or popular as the original, Teen Mom, which stars the four young moms that we all think of when we're talking about the franchise.
8 We Didn't Want 'Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County'
This reality show came after Laguna Beach and while we totally get wanting to keep the good times (and high ratings) going strong... it's fair to admit that we never asked for this spin-off.
Even just looking at this photo of the cast makes us think that they were trying too hard to copy the original. Three of the girls even look just like LG and The Hills star Lauren Conrad.
7 And We Never Really Needed 'Life Of Kylie'
Many fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians must not have even watched Kylie Jenner's spin-off, Life of Kylie, which is why it only lasted for one season.
The ratings were pretty bad. It just didn't seem necessary to watch Kylie on her own. We al love the original show.
6 Many Of Us Never Tuned Into The Hills Spin-Off 'The City'
Sometimes even huge, loyal fans of a reality show would rather not see a spin-off. When Whitney Port was given her own show after The Hills, it was set in NYC and called The City.
Many of us never even watched a single episode, making this another reality show spin-off that we never asked for.
5 Even Kardashian Fans Don't Love 'Kourtney And Khloé Take The Hamptons'
It makes sense that any KUWTK spin-off didn't last for very many seasons because fans would definitely rather tune into the OG reality show.
We get wanting to give fans more of what they want... but in this case, fans didn't want this at all. The show just isn't very good.
4 We Never Asked For 'Mama June: From Not To Hot'
Mama June is a pretty polarizing figure, and so is the reality show that made her famous, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
We never asked for the spin-off that she got, either: Mama June: From Not To Hot. Judging from the title alone, this is pretty offensive and doesn't seem like it gives off very good vibes.
3 Did We Even Know 'Audrina' Existed?
Audrina is famous for her time on the MTV reality series The Hills. She was given a spin-off that had her first name.
Did we even know this show existed? No way. This is definitely the first time that we're hearing about it. So that probably says a lot about the quality of the show...
2 We Never Asked For 'Paris Hilton's British Best Friend'
My New BFF is a reality series that it's completely possible we have never, ever heard of before. Well, as it turns out, Paris Hilton had her own spin-off of this show.
Yeah, we never asked for this show, either... mostly because we didn't even know that it was a thing. We would much rather watch re-runs of The Simple Life.
1 We Also Don't Remember 'Storage Wars Canada'
Storage Wars is a popular reality TV series, although some people might wonder why you would want to watch people talking about such a dull subject.
To each their own... and to each their favorite reality show. But even so, we're not sure that we remember that there was a Canada version of this series.
