In a world filled with sword fights, dragons, poison, and passion, the once unknown Game of Thrones cast has had its acting chops put to the ultimate physical and emotional tests. This is particularly true for the actors who grew up with their characters for nearly a decade and now have to say goodbye to the world of Westeros and all seven realms.

Even great actors have people step in for them, whether it’s because of a dangerous stunt or a scene that shows more skin than an actor is comfortable with. Be warned, this article is filled with plenty of plot spoilers if you haven’t caught the end of the series!

An appropriate name for a stunt double, a guy named Mark Slaughter dressed as a woman quite often to portray female knight Brienne of Tarth. It took nine days of fighting in Iceland to perfectly capture Brienne’s fight against the Hound.

I think we can all agree he did a good job. Slaughter has also worked on Outlander and in The Legend of Tarzan.
