If there's one thing we can say about many people in this world, it's that they really really love their pets. Some people will go above and beyond for their furry little friends, and who could blame them? Animals shower us with love without asking for much in return. They listen, they never talk back, and they won't reveal your secrets.

So, it's no surprise then that many pets are treated better than us humans. From fancy meals, diamond encrusted necklaces to snazzy little outfits, for some pet lovers, nothing is too good for their furry little friends. Pet owners also like to celebrate special occasions and milestones for their domesticated friends, and what's a celebration without a cake, right?

And hey, if you've had one too many pet parties and you're running short on ideas, here are some awesome pet cakes to inspire you.

15 ToTo

Remember the classic movie, The Wizard of Oz? What am I saying? Of course you do! If it was forgettable, it wouldn’t be labelled as a 'classic,' would it? Well, you might be a big fan of the movie, but I think we've found an even bigger fan. Not only did this person find an exact replica of Toto the puppy, but they also clearly treat little 'Toto the Second' as part of the family.

Case in point: this fancy birthday cake, complete with a cute wicker basket wrapped in love and a blue bow. Does it get any cuter than this? If this is the cake, I can’t even begin to imagine how fabulous the actual party was. I wonder what 'Toto the Second' got for his birthday present—a mini Ferrari maybe? I don’t believe in reincarnation, but if I did, I would want to come back as this Toto; he seems to have a pretty great life!

14 Taco Bell

If you happen to stumble upon a ‘MISSING TACO BELL DOG’ poster somewhere out there, we may have an idea as to where you can find him. The kidnappers put him in a blue striped shirt to throw us off, but who are they fooling, right?

To be fair though, his new owners seem to be treating him quite well. I’m quite sure Taco Bell never threw him a fiesta, complete with a birthday cake. Either way though, this cake is proof that someone, somewhere, has the Taco Bell dog, so maybe you should give the company a call and report it—who knows, you might even get a lifetime worth of Taco Bell coupons as your reward. Score!

13 Grumpy Cat

For those of you who don’t know (although you would have to be living under a rock for this to be true) Grumpy Cat is an internet cat celebrity known for her grumpy facial expressions. She's proven time and time again that you don’t need to be smiley and pleasant in order to be famous—after all, I’ve been smiling for years and I’ve yet to make an appearance on American Idol, Good Morning America, Anderson Live, or the CBS Evening News, just to name a few.

Oh, and if there’s any doubt that being grumpy is the new ‘happy,’ just keep in mind that Grumpy Cat has her own Facebook page with over 8.5 million likes and counting. If I was getting all this notoriety, I’d never smile again, not even if I’m posing for a delicious birthday cake, topped with coconut sprinkles. Be you, Grumpy Cat, be you!

12 Sleepy Pup

Let’s be honest with ourselves for a minute: if you had 100 brothers and sisters, chances are that you’d constantly be sleepy, too. Imagine having to play with each brother and sister every single day—just the mere thought of it sounds quite exhausting, doesn’t it? Plus, to top it all off, this poor little pup and his siblings have to deal with the horrible Cruella De Vil. I mean, being captured by an obvious animal hater who loves fur coats (and I’m not talking about faux fur) and having to plot your escape takes a lot of time and energy—I mean, come on, where’s PETA when you need them? That being said, it’s only fair that this cool cake realistically captured this cute little Dalmatian during his favourite pastime, catching some much-needed zzz's.

11 Happy Bulldog

Many people seem to have the wrong idea about bulldogs, probably because their mouths always seem to be in the shape of a frown. But hey, that’s not their fault. These pudgy animals are actually quite friendly and whoever made this cake definitely captured the bulldog in its true demeanour. I mean those brown eyes, that wet nose, and those pudgy cheeks makes you want to just give this dog one big hug, doesn’t it? But before you do, just remember that it’s a birthday cake—a superbly detailed, true to form, completely artistic birthday cake. Hug it once and ruin a true masterpiece (plus end up covered in icing). Good luck trying to cut into this delicious dessert without feeling some form of guilt, and then biting into his little head? Now that’s just wrong! This is what happens when you do your job a little too well, and yes I’m talking to you, Mr. Pastry Guy!

10 Hound Cake

Via: caninest.com

Like pound cake, get it…? Anyway, this adorable little hound dog is definitely a sight for sore eyes. And the pastry chef certainly didn’t leave any stones unturned when creating this replica of his client’s dog. The large floppy ears, loose folding skin, and prominent dewlap (that’s the piece of skin hanging below the neck, for those who don’t know) are all recognizable features of the basset hound. Whoever created this masterpiece should surely win an award for craftsmanship. Once again though, he may have done too good of a job, because it’s going to be pretty hard to cut into this amazing cake without feeling some type of guilt about it. And while I’m sure it’s delicious, I would probably just keep this one in my freezer and eat a regular round cake instead—I just don't like to mess with peoples art, that's all!

9 Got Cake?

Via: pettinice.com

Most of us cherish our cute little pet dogs and cats; we throw them lavish parties complete with fancy food and an over-the-top cake. But who’s to say that you can't have a pet cow, and who’s to say that you can’t do the same for your cow as you would for your dog or cat? Well, this pet owner is surely proving that there are no rules when it comes to spoiling your pet, no matter what kind of animal it is. And who could blame him; it’s quite a beautiful cow—if I might say so myself! The shiny black and white coat, those big brown eyes, and that adorable white patch in the middle of his face makes this animal quite a looker. And the pastry chef clearly captured this animal in its natural habitat, relaxing on that delicious-looking green grass (not delicious for me, but, you know, delicious for a cow, obviously).

8 Falcon Cake

If people were to guess what this is, I bet many would think that it’s a bronzed statue of a falcon. And, you might be right to some extent; after all, it is a bronzed statue of a falcon, but this one is actually edible. Yes, this is a cake, and I bet it's pretty delicious as well. The creator of this piece meticulously captured the majestic creature, and the attention to detail is nothing short of incredible. The beady eyes, sturdy beak, and sharp claws, along with the realistic color all work together to create the most lifelike falcon cake I’ve ever seen. Then again, this is actually the first falcon cake I’ve ever seen, but that’s beside the point.

7 Taxidermy Beagle Cake?

Via:fancycakesblog.com

I’m not even trying to be rude, but for some reason, this cake actually reminds me of taxidermy —a well-done taxidermy, I might add (does that lessen the blow a bit?) Don’t get me wrong, this is undeniably a stunning cake, and I salute whoever made this beautiful creation; it certainly isn’t easy trying to recapture someone’s animal, and then try to ensure that it doesn’t just look good, but tastes good as well. Unfortunately, once you have the word ‘taxidermy’ stuck in your head, it’s pretty hard to get it out, so I probably couldn’t eat this tasty treat even if I tried. Then again, I wasn’t invited to the party to begin with, so ‘no harm, no beagle.' LOL... get it? Okay, maybe comedy isn’t my thing, but you get where I’m going with this.

6 Unicorns

Via:pinterest.com

AHA, I knew it! For years, people have been saying that unicorns aren't real, but now we have proof. Yes, proof in the form of a cake, but proof nonetheless. Yippee! Now I kind of wish that I had bet a billion dollars that this supposedly mythical creature does, in fact, exist, because now I could use this cake as proof so I could collect my billions. Darn it! Anyway, the owner of this majestic creature decided to throw a birthday party, and what’s a fabulous party without a pretty cake in the likeness of your favorite pet, right? It’s a good thing I wasn’t invited to this unicorn party though, because I simply couldn’t let anyone cut into this beautiful cake. It just looks so real; I mean the sparkly horn, those big brown eyes, and those gold-tipped hoofs. I simply could not!

5 White Tiger

Via: bigfatcook.com

I don’t know anyone who is brave enough to sit in the midst of a tiger and actually have the nerve to eat an exact replica of the animal (assuming, of course, that the animal is present during the celebration). Being the scaredy cat that I am, I would imagine this huge tiger would see me slicing into its body and suddenly get the urge for revenge or something. Does that sound crazy? Well, anyway someone clearly loves this tiger and wanted to celebrate its birthday, or maybe he was celebrating his own birthday and wanted a cake that looks like his favorite animal, who knows. Either way, salute to the person who made this, he truly captured the essence of the tiger. I mean the cake version looks just as scary as the real version. Yikes!

4 Fat Pup

This adorable pup actually looks as if he’s had a few too many cakes throughout his life, so I guess it’s only fair that he’d have one in celebration of his birthday as well. I can just imagine the other tasty dog treats that were served at this party. However, here’s hoping that after 'fat pup' ( yes, that’s his official name now) sees himself in cake form, he’ll realize that he needs to maybe hit the gym or the doggy park, to work off the extra pounds! But then again, why on earth am I fat shaming a puppy; what have I become?! Salute to the artist (yes, pastry chefs are artists) who created this marvellous masterpiece. I mean, he captured everything: the big brown eyes, pudgy little ears, not to mention, the fat rolls. Good job, pastry chef. Good job indeed.

3 Grandma's Cat

I can take one look at this cat cake and tell that this tabby lives with an old woman who enjoys knitting in her pastime. She loves cats and she has book club meetings in her home every Monday where she serves tea and biscuits. While grandma doesn’t celebrate her own birthday (she's lost count), she certainly goes all out for her loveable kitty and this year, she made sure to order a cake that looks just like him.

I think grandma was more than pleased with the impeccable work that the pastry chef did. I mean, he captured this little tabby sleeping peacefully on his pillow bed that grandma made with her own two hands. And when it comes to the cat’s physical features, those were perfectly captured as well: the cute little ears, beautiful brown and black coat, and that long tail. Now, let's dig in and see if he's as tasty as he looks!

2 Pretty and Tasty

I don’t know Gianna personally, but all I can say is that she’s about to have one fabulous party. I mean, just by looking at this beautiful cake, which is clearly a replica of her dog, I can already tell that this is just the icing on the cake (pun intended). Little Gianna is going to be the envy of all her friends when they see this amazing cake with the pretty white fur and the big, pink bow. It all seems to perfectly capture Gianna's real life pup, except this one is a lot more delicious (er, not that I know whether or not the real one is delicious. You know what I mean, right?). Anyway, let’s just wish little miss Gianna a 'happy birthday,' and with such a fabulous cake in the room, how could she be anything but happy?

1 Double the Fun

Via: craftster.org

Aww, if I owned these cute little pups, I’d want a cake made just like them, too. You can tell by the picture that the pastry chef is still working on this masterpiece, but based on the real photos of the pups, he already seems to be capturing these Dachshunds perfectly. These adorable little animals are known for their long bodies and short, stubby legs, and it seems like these two enjoy sleeping. This is probably why their owner wanted them captured in the midst of their favourite pastime activity. I mean, who could blame them? I’m sure those tiny little legs mean that they tire pretty quickly. All that being said, I can only imagine just how beautiful and scrumptious the finished product is going to be. Bon appétit!
