It’s well known that people believe celebrities are fair game when it comes to hate. You can hate a celebrity for any little thing. There will always be someone who jumps on the bandwagon with you just to make you feel better about trashing another human being. However, there are a few celebrities who people just love to hate. No matter what they do or say, how much money they give away to charities, how real they are, they will always receive hate. No one really knows why and chances are no one will ever find out. Unlike the Kardashian/Jenner bunch, many celebs keep their lives pretty private so the idea that people have enough ammo on them to justify hate is crazy talk. On the other hand, there are there are a number of celebrities who just can’t get their lives together. For some reason, we the fans feel like we can judge them on it. Do we feel bad? nope! Do you have a celebrity you love to hate? Are they on the list?

15 Chris Brown

It's hard to feel sorry for Chris Brown. He has never been able to get over the abuse allegations between Rihanna and himself. In fact, much more happened after that incident for people to just absolutely hate him even more. It goes to show that you can't behave so disgustingly, no matter how much talent you have. In his case, the shade he gets online has translated into real life repercussions and he can’t sell out a concert to save his life. He has been able to be a part of some amazing collaborations though. Brown has managed to maintain a few connections in the music world and has appeared on tracks with Kanye West, Nikki Minaj and Drake. However, people will forever hate on him because he refuses to shut up about the Rihanna drama. Also, almost all of his ex-girlfriends after RiRi have had some kind of disturbance with him se he's clearly an absolute jerk.

14 Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow comes off as insufferable. If any of her recent interviews prove anything it is that she is basically out of touch with reality. While people love to watch her in such classic films as Great Expectations and Shakespeare In Love, that is quickly overshadowed by her obsession with health. Okay, so we live in a society that is rightfully health conscious. But, everyone has to find the right fitness lifestyle for themselves Meanwhile, Paltrow won’t stop talking about GOOP. That unrealistic healthy lifestyle that she is trying to sell to the masses. It just makes everyone question her sanity. No one can afford that moon dust she keeps peddling, no one can they afford or has the time to make that shake that cost like $100 something dollars a day. Just stick to playing Pepper Potts you’re more likeable that way.

13 John Mayer

It’s easy to see why people hate John Mayer simply put; he’s a douche bag. Real talk, his music is great. Who doesn’t love hearing him sing about failed relationships? Raising a daughter so she can be a good girlfriend and, of course, dating Katy Perry so that he can then use her in that catchy AF Who You Love song  before breaking up with her. There is no denying that Mayer is a great songwriter and a talented musician. There is also no denying that he has done some messed up stuff that warrants the hate. People are annoyed that they can’t hate Mayer for too long. As soon as he does or say’s something out of pocket he comes out with a new track that makes everyone swoon. Even though his snarky attitude is annoying at times it seems like it can be handled in doses.

12 Lena Dunham

Right off the bat, we can tell you exactly why people love to hate actress Lena Dunham. Her character Hannah from Girls is basically her. Selfish, annoying, spoiled, and ridiculous are just some of the words used to describe Dunham/Hannah. We acknowledge that she is a great writer and created an interesting TV show but my gosh she is annoying. One of the main complaints people have about her is that she has no filter. She accused a basketball playing of ignoring her because she wasn’t pretty enough (projecting much?). Finally, she overshares time and time again on social media to the extent that it's unflattering. Yet, we are completely obsessed with what she is going to do next. Also, she does try hard to be empowering to women so we will cut her some slack.

11 Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf, what can one say? He is… obnoxious and a bit of a know-it-all. There is no denying that he is a hot mess he gets into drunken bar fights and can’t keep a girlfriend (hopefully this marriage lasts). To top it off apparently, he is a nightmare to work with. Then again, good actors usually have an ego and there is no denying that he is a good actor. Some of his roles have been questionable, more so, lately but don’t pretend you didn’t like Disturbia and Transformers. Don’t act like you are uninterested in his very public stunts like the “I am not famous anymore” paper bag mask. Is anyone else surprised that he and Kanye West are friends? Maybe people can start calling him eccentric so it’s harder to hate him.

10 Katy Perry

Katy Perry has been MIA for a little while. She took what one would assume to be a much-needed break. However, since she has been back all she is doing is getting under people’s skin. Her new music has managed to upset the masses due to her collaborating with Migos. And she is looking a little… awkward? Look at those dance moves from SNL.

Either way, she is getting a lot of crap for her new “lifestyle”. She seems to be trying to pull a Miley but it’s not really working. All we can do now is think of the better Katy Perry times; Roar, Dark Horse you know the oldies. Not going to lie, it is kind of hard when she keeps live streaming and saying messed up stuff like ranking her lovers from best to worst. John Mayer was number one by the way (side-eye emoji)

9 Beyonce

While Beyonce has a lot of fans in her beyhive, we’re talking millions, there is a small fraction of people who can’t stand her. The reasons are endless; she’s overrated, she treats her fans like crap, she’s boring. The list could on and on. However, Bey doesn’t care she isn’t interested in putting her business on blast and it has rubbed the drama lovers the wrong way. Although, something says that no matter what Beyonce does people will always find a reason to hate. She’s rich, extremely successful, pregnant with twins and her melanin is popping. Oh and married to Jay Z, if that counts for anything. We should just accept that she will be around for a long, long time whether we like her or not. Oh, and we should also accept that’s she will never give a damn what people think.

8 Taylor Swift

#SQUADGOALS is exactly why people can’t stand Taylor Swift. She collects friends like she is collecting limited edition… something. Behind the scenes, Swift has been said to be a not so nice chick. Not only has she rubbed people the wrong way with that collecting friend things and rude attitude, she has also pissed a lot of people off by being caught in a lie. That’s right the time when Kim Kardashian publicly called her out for lying about not consenting to a lyric in Kanye West’s song Famous. After she got called out she slowly disappeared from the spotlight but it still didn’t stop people from realizing that they don’t like her that much. Honestly, no matter what people know about her, they are going to buy whatever album she comes out with next cause her songs are catchy AF.

7 Jessica Simpson

There is just something about Jessica Simpson that people love to hate. It seems like more recently she is being judged for a bunch of random things she does. She isn’t in the public eye much anymore. Yet, people are still hating on her “chicken of the sea” comment, hating on her husband and his… looks. Mostly, they hate on her social media accounts and what she chooses to post. No one is cutting Simpson any slack. Look at it this way, she is *probably* more successful and smarter than people give her credit for. She turned a wavering singing career into a gigantic fashion brand. She has lingerie, baby clothes, jeans, and god knows what else. If she never sang another song a day in her life she would still be okay.

6 Lindsay Lohan

We all know that former actress Lindsay Lohan has had one hell of a ride in Hollywood. She got wrapped up in the craziness that the glitz and glam had to offer. This included drug use, drinking, way too much partying and of course a paparazzi fight or two. Although the hate that Lohan gets is somewhat warranted we have to admit, when we look at her we see our Disney Channel darling. Lohan gave us a few great films whether they hit the mark or not. Mean Girls, Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen, PARENT TRAP!!! how can you hate her? Granted she's a hot mess but, who isn't these days? Can you blame her? She’s basically been supporting her family for most of her life. Also, who else wouldn’t be embarrassed by their parents very public problems? Wouldn’t you need a drink to?

5 Kylie Jenner

It’s easy to hate Kylie Jenner, she is fake and she appropriates cultures like no one ever before. Not even Eminem is worse than her and he actually grew up with hardship in a ghetto in Detroit. Jenner is offensive at best. It’s understandable that people love to hate her. She doesn’t help the situation by lying about all the work she has had done on her body or those Snapchat videos where she lip syncs along with rap songs. However, we can’t knock her hustle. She found a niche and made a whole lot of money off it. Those lip kits are selling faster and faster every time a new one comes out. She has even started selling shadows, highlighters and collaborated with big sis and her inspiration Kim Kardashian.

4 Shailene Woodley

Shailene Woodley just seems to get on people’s last nerve. Fans feel like she ruined the Divergent series, they have called everything from entitled to stupid. However, they refuse to acknowledge that after The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, she worked retail for a while, like a normal teen. So, yes, she was recently arrested for protesting the pipeline and on top of that, she keeps talking about her all natural lifestyle and not shaving. However, the hate is not warranted she seems like one of the most down to earth actresses there is currently. In a world of Kylie’s and Nikki Minaj’s she’s refreshing, right? Apparently not. The hate really isn’t necessary. Maybe just go negotiate another contract since the Divergent films are no longer moving forward with her.

3 Lana Del Rey

Always sad and ungrateful singer Lana Del Rey rubs people the wrong way. Her music is sultry, depressing and powerful on impact. Unfortunately, it’s not just her music. She just seems so unimpressed with the blessed life she has been given. That is what annoys the hell out of people. She’s miserable and always having some kind of breakdown. Come on already, be impressed with the success you have, be happy that people love your music instead of walking around pouting all day. Or better yet, disappearing for months to a year at a time and then dropping a single track and going back into hiding. She is clearly loved and people want to see more of her but if this attitude keeps up her fans will have to move onto another, less ungrateful celeb.

2 Kanye West

Kanye West gets a lot of crap from people. He’s confident, knows how to make great music, quite talented and speaks his mind. All things that people don’t love in a young man.Granted, it didn’t help that on his Life Of Pablo Album he had a track titled I Love Kanye. Let’s be honest, isn’t every musician a bit cocky in their own way? West is just not afraid to show his cocky attitude better yet, he isn’t afraid of backlash. There is no single reason why people love to hate West. They give him a hard time to bring out the negative, defensive side of him. Yes, he has done a lot of questionable things and said some crazy stuff in a few interviews but if you’re not your own biggest fan who will be?

1 Anne Hathaway

It’s kind of a mystery why so many people love to hate Anne Hathaway. In fact, it sort of seems like she is getting residual hate. Instead of people hating James Franco for that poorly hosted Oscar gig a few years back they blamed it on poor Anne. Then they hated her for that short haircut even though she did it for a movie role that millions of people loved (Les Mis). Oh, and basically every film after The Devil Wears Prada (except Les Mis) seems to have rubbed a bunch of people the wrong way. Hathaway can’t win which makes us feel really bad for her. Unlike many celebs on this list, she hasn’t done anything hate worthy. If anything, she has picked up the slack for a lot of other celebs and their ridiculous behavior.
