Having one's every move followed is just part of the territory that comes with being a celebrity. Even basic errands like heading to Starbucks or the grocery store is far more fascinating when a celebrity is doing it. What can we say? People love celebrities, especially whichever one they've chosen as their favorite. The trouble is, not everyone knows how to handle their admiration in a healthy way.

Some people are happy enough with reading about them in magazines or watching them on the TV. Others, however, want more. Even seeing their favourite celebrity in the flesh isn't enough for some fans. So, at what point does an admirer cross the line from fan to stalker? Well, breaking into a star's home and taking your own life, like Sandra Bullock's stalker recently did, is a good example of extreme fanaticism. Unfortunately, that isn't the worst case of celebrity stalking in Hollywood.

15 Sandra Bullock

Only last week, it was reported that Sandra Bullock's stalker, Joshua James Corbett, ended his life following a police standoff. The same guy was actually arrested a while back for breaking into Bullock's home and, as a result, had a restraining order issued against him by the actress herself. Who can blame her? As reported by TMZ, a protective order can only be issued if the star has any reason to fear the suspect. We'd say someone breaking into your home with some nefarious purpose in mind a reason to fear them.

His actions all came to a head last week when officers were called to the stalker's home over a possible parole violation. According to a source, the suspect barricaded himself his home when police offers arrived at his residence. Following a police standoff, Corbett took his own life. By the sounds of it, he'd been stalking Bullock for a while so she was right to file a restraining order against him. It's a shame how things wound up so tragic in the end. Still, we totally feel for Bullock having to deal with something like that, which had to be terrifying. We will never understand what goes through a stalker's mind, but we can only assume that this guy needed some serious help.

14 Selena Gomez

With an Instagram following of over 136 million, a few hardcore Selena Gomez fans are bound to crop up in the stack. But Gomez's stalker took his obsession with the singer a little too far. In 2012, he claimed he had ''over fifty conversations with God a day, about ending the life of Ms. Gomez.'' The guy actually saw his own wrongdoings and wanted to be restrained.

In fact, he urged Gomez to restrain him.''I believe that a restraining order should be issued against me to prevent me from trying to contact Selena Gomez,'' he said. ''I do not wish to object to the restraining order against me because I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena.'' At least you can say the guy saw what he was doing was wrong and he took action. Still, it's not right that someone has these kinds of violent thoughts in their head. And it's not really the most usual thing in the world to want to have yourself restrained. It must have been a scary time for Selena. As if these celebrities don't have enough to deal with in their lives. The last thing they need is a stalker on their hands.

13 Justin Timberlake

You may call yourself a self-confessed Justin Timberlake addict, but we bet you never went as far as a woman named Karen McNeil, AKA the woman who stalked the pop star. Justin Timberlake was forced to file a restraining order against the 48-year-old after she was caught hanging around his Hollywood estate. It wasn't the first time either. She'd actually been caught lurking around the property two other times before. Reports say she ''trespassed onto [Timberlake's] property, attempted to gain access into his home, and delusionally claimed to be friends with him.''

Now, she is obliged to stay at least 100 yards away from the singer, his car and his home. We know there are a lot of Justin Timberlake fans out there but trespassing onto his property and claiming to be his friend? That's going a little far. Is it not enough to listen to his songs, watch his interviews or even go see him in concert? Obviously it can't be enough for some fans. Some people need to feel closer to him and clearly this woman was one of them. She felt compelled in some way to loiter around his home and believe that she and he were friends. But now she's paying the price for that obsession.

12 Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is the next victim on the list. A couple of months ago, a man was taken into custody after posting troubling content about Miley Cyrus on social media. According to TMZ, the man had posted a series of Facebook posts that claimed he knew where she lived and that he planned to travel to Los Angeles in a bid to find her. In response to his actions, the Los Angeles Police Department contacted the man in regard to his activity. They also later discovered that the guy had indeed traveled to L.A.

But before he even visited the city, he had posted several worrying statements that were a cause for concern.

The guy also said he had to complete a ''most horrific act'' and that it will be on the news. His follow up post read: ''I love you Miley.'' Putting all this together, it doesn't really look good, does it? We can see why he was arrested by the L.A. police department. He'd even had a restraining order set on him but he violated that when he started waiting outside of movie sets for her. The guy once even claimed that he and Miley were engaged. We don't think so!

11 Jamie Foxx

Some stalkers are smart. Well, things start off smart, but then their plan doesn't really go the the way they wanted it to. Take Jamie Foxx's stalker, for instance. Steven Taliver knew that the only way he could get Foxx to open the door of his Philadelphia hotel suite is if he were to pose as one of Beyoncé's producers. And he was right. Foxx did indeed open the door to the guy, but what Taliver failed to realize was that his beloved Jamie Foxx is also pretty smart. The actor soon realized that he didn't know the man and immediately removed him from the room. While Taliver fled, it wasn't long before police caught up with him.

Taliver later confessed that this wasn't the first time he'd displayed stalker tendencies. Apparently, he'd also broken into Foxx's room on the set of his film Law Abiding Citizen. In the end, Taliver was charged with stalking, burglary, and threats. So while his plan looked like it had potential in the beginning, Foxx soon got the better of him when he discovered Taliver wasn't who he said he was. So we guess this guy isn't really a good example of a smart stalker, is he?

10 Victoria and David Beckham

They look like they could have the best marriage in Hollywood. Still, even the most famous celebrity marriage does not come without its drawbacks. In fact, Victoria and David Beckham have found themselves a victim of stalking on a number of occasions. Since the late '90s, when their fame peaked, both stars have been at the brunt end of fan fanatics. Remember the kidnap plot in '99? Someone plotted to snatch both Victoria and her son Brooklyn, but fortunately the police intervened and helped thwart the plot. A further kidnap plot emerged involving the Spice Girl and her sons in 2002.

But her husband David wasn't off the hook from extreme stalking.

The same year, a former escort named Chinyelu Obue was restrained under the mental health act for sending numerous raunchy letters and pictures to David Beckham. She even broke into his apartment and stole his post. Five years later, the couple were forced to boost their security once again after a teenage girl followed Beckham to his hotel room. According to a witness at the time, ''She was using her feminine wiles but everyone was worried about the intense look in her eyes.'' This is the scary price you pay for being as illustrious as the Beckhams.

9 Rihanna

Rihanna is a hugely successful singer...but you know that already. We get it that people might get a little obsessed with her. But when we say obsessed, we think of things like listening to one of her hits several times in a row or even hanging a few posters of her on your wall. We don't think of breaking into her house. Sure, we would love to meet her in person, but not by breaking the law and scaring the heck out of her. If we were to meet Rihanna, we envision it as one of those extraordinary instances where we'd exchange beauty tips and she'd teach us how to dress like a pro; or something along those lines, anyway.

The last thing we'd want to do is wreak havoc on her life by damaging her property and trying to break in to her house. Yet, that's exactly what this ''fan'' did. He threw a chair through Rihanna's window and broke into her home, insisting that he was her husband-to-be. Unfortunately for him, we really don't think Rihanna will be saying ''I do'' to this guy anytime soon. Anyway, he ended up receiving a restraining order for this act against the singer. Apparently, like several of the stalkers on this list, it wasn't the first time he'd indulged in stalking habits over the star of his choice.

8 Jennifer Aniston

It would be interesting to know what goes on in the minds of these celebrity stalkers. What exactly drives them to do what they do? How can they honestly believe that they're in a relationship with the celebrity of their desire? We understand the love some people have for celebrities and that they seem them as idols, role models or whatever you want to call them. But there's a fine line between being a fan and being a stalker. It's not exactly surprising that Jennifer Aniston is next on the list. She's one of the biggest Hollywood actresses and no doubt vulnerable to stalker targeting. Yet, we're still blown away to hear this scary stalker story, which happened back in 2010.

A man with a history of criminal stalking and violence spent over a week attempting to find the actress.

He even told the police he was in a relationship with Aniston. We hardly think Jen herself would agree. Not long after, he was arrested after carving the words ''I love you Jennifer Aniston'' into his own car. Following his arrest, the guy was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold. He was also ordered to stay away from the actress.

7 Mark Zuckerberg

Of course, Mark Zuckerberg was going to appear on the list. He is the Facebook CEO after all. While some stalkers act in the way they do out of love for the object of their affection, others stalk with the intention of scaring the victim. Pradeep Manukonda's action toward the tech phenom don't seem to make a case for him being a Zuckerberg fan. In 2011, he wrote the Facebook founder threatening messages and handwritten letters. In addition to that, he also tried getting in touch with Zuckerberg's sister and girlfriend. The reason for doing so is not clear. What is clear, however, is that the guy was seen both outside Zuckerberg's home and at the Facebook headquarters.

In an interview with TMZ, Manukonda claimed that he was simply seeking advice from the Facebook CEO and that it wasn't his attention to scare him in any way. "I'm a peaceful guy ... I'm sorry he thought I was trying to harm him," said Manukonda. "I'll respect his privacy." But that's not the way the authorities see it. To them, what he was doing is a form of stalking and this kind of behaviour is not to be tolerated under the law. When you send threatening messages and loiter outside someone's house, you are not going to get away with it.

6 Jennifer Lopez

In August 2013, Jennifer Lopez had an uninvited guest stay in her home. John Dubis, a former fireman, reportedly broke into J-Lo's Hamptons estate and stayed there for six days. He went unnoticed for nearly a week until he was spotted by Lopez' security guards. The 49-year-old man already had a protective order against him.

That, however, did not stop him from entering Lopez's home and making himself comfy there.

We're not exactly sure what he was trying to achieve, but we assume he wanted to feel closer to her somehow. Are there not better, legal ways to do that? The stalker even claimed he was the singer's husband. He also told the police that he was the father of her children. This was his reason for staying in her home. He claimed Lopez had allowed him to remain in the house because they were together romantically with children. Following his detection by a Lopez employee, the man was taken in for psychiatric analysis. It's one thing to break into someone's home but to actually stay there for days....? It's a pity these people can't get their kicks purely from listening to her music or watching interviews. Why does it have to come to this?

5 Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has dealt with a couple of stalking cases. One of them happened back in May 2013. Twenty-two year-old Lucas Vorsteveld was arrested for stalking Swift and making a roundtrip swim only a mile away from the singer's private beach to her home. The other stalking case happened last year and the guy certainly got his comeuppance. After threatening to hurt Swift and her family, Frank Andrew Hoover was arrested and sentenced to 10 years of probation. Swift already had a restraining order against him for stalking.

As well as the 10 year probation, Hoover will also be monitored by GPS. This is to ensure the authorities know his whereabouts, so he can't go near Taylor Swift without them know. We know she's a big star and all but really, is there any need to follow her everywhere and stalk her? She may be rich and famous, but she's just doing her job like the rest of us. It's unfortunate how some people feel the need to make others feel uncomfortable. Why can't people just appreciate the music? We understand that some of these people are struggling with their own emotional issues, but they shouldn't bring others down just to feel better.

4 Britney Spears

In 2002, a man found himself besotted with Britney Spears. He started sending her emails, love letters and even pictures of himself. One time, he crossed the line by sending her a message that said ''I'm chasing you.'' Even for a celebrity surrounded by security, like Britney, it must be a scary experience. It must make you feel uneasy, whether or not you have people protecting you constantly. Unsurprisingly, he received a restraining order.

In spite of that, he continued to stalk Spears outside both of her houses and her parents' home, too.

Getting the parents involved, too? That's unfair, don't you think? For some reason, he even tried to sue the singer after her bodyguards confronted the guy outside her home. We're not sure how he thought he'd win. Clearly he was the one in the wrong. He should not have been loitering around her house or her parents' house. After one of Spears' bodyguards pointed a weapon at him, the man claimed he struggled with ''extreme emotional stress.'' It's a shame if he does actually suffer with emotional stress, but it's also unfair to express his stress in a way that wreaks havoc on the life of poor Brit. She doesn't deserve that.

3 Madonna

All stalking cases are, to some degree, disturbing. But some of them take disturbing to a whole new level. One of those people is Robert Dewey Hoskins, the stalker of pop queen Madonna. Now, we're not saying we're not obsessed with her to some degree ourselves. Of course we are! She is Madonna, after all. What we struggle to understand is why someone would make violent threats towards her like Hoskins did. This guy is known to be a serial Madonna-offender.

In addition to his threats, he also tried to get up close to the singer on three different occasions. On one occasion he did manage to plant himself within 10 feet of Madonna back in '95. It wasn't until he started making threats that he found himself in a brawl with guards and ultimately jailed for a decade in 1996. Even jail couldn't remove his fascination with the star, though. According to reports, he even wrote ''Madonna's stalker'' all over his cell walls. But Madonna isn't the only one who has Hoskins to fear. Apparently, he's also got his sights on actress Halle Berry. It's sad how celebrities have to deal with this kind of stuff. It's unfair and unnecessary and it just shouldn't happen.

2 Winona Ryder

Fortunately, some stalkers eventually grow bored of following a certain celebrity around. The only problem is, they don't stop the stalking altogether. They move on to another victim instead. Winona Ryder revealed that she once had a stalker who was a regular extra in her movies. She said he was starting to get ''really creepy,'' but when she decided to report him to the director, the guy claimed he was no longer obsessed with Ryder.

He had moved on to another actress: Alyssa Milano.

While we're sure she wasn't comfortable with the situation at the time, Ryder has made light of it in the past, which shows how she apparently views it as a normal part of her life now. "Yeah. I did. I had a few,'' said Ryder when asked if she'd ever had a stalker. ''One was really nice. He kept showing up as an extra on movies, and you don't know. You have to be careful. So I told the director, because he was kinda creepy. And I got this letter in my trailer the next day that was like, 'I was just trying to get work as an extra! Just so you know, I'm not even obsessed with you anymore, I'm obsessed with Alyssa Milano now!' So he kind of left me for Alyssa Milano."

1 Ashley Tisdale

When someone sends you no less than 18,000 delusional tweets, you'd feel like you had no other choice than to file a restraining order against that person. Nobody wants to be bombarded with thousands of tweets. Even for celebrities like Ashley Tisdale, 18,000 tweets is too much. Yet that's how many tweets Tisdale's stalker, Nicholas Fiore, sent her, most of which were described as ''dangerous'' and ''delusional.'' She felt like the harassment was putting her in danger, which is why she filed the restraining order against him.

Fiore has been harassing the actress since 2012 and he's violated that restraining order more than once. On top of all that, he allegedly appeared at the star's home on at least two occasions, one time disguised as a delivery man. You can see why she would be worried. With behaviour like that, who wouldn't file a restraining order against him? It's unfortunate if this guy has problems, but let's just hope he's learning new values at wherever he is now (hopefully, very far away from Tisdale). You may think you've sent your favourite celeb a few too many tweets, but we can't imagine it racking up to 18,000 and we bet you can't too, right?
