Corbin Bleu is best known for playing Chad Danforth in the "High School Musical" franchise. The franchise was one of the most successful Disney Channel Original Movie franchises and the third movie was the only DCOM to be in theaters.

Bleu is a singer-songwriter, actor, dancer, model, and film producer. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Martha and David Reivers. Bleu met actress, Sasha Clements, in a grocery store and the rest was history. He proposed to her in front of Cinderella's Castle in Disney World - they got married in 2016. Clements is best known for being on the sitcom "Majority Rules!" She also starred in the DCOM, "How To Build A Better Boy."

14 "Dancing With The Stars" Season 17

In 2013, Bleu competed in the 17th season with professional, Karina Smirnoff. He almost won the mirrorball trophy when he and Smirnoff placed 2nd. Amber Riley and Derek Hough ultimately took home the win. His "High School Musical" co-star, Monique Coleman, was on season 3 and placed fourth.

13 He Has Been On Broadway More Times Than You Can Count

This Broadway career started at the age of 6 when he starred in an off-Broadway production at The Town Hall.  Since then, he has starred in over ten productions - "Hairspray," "Godspell," "Mama Mia," "Singin' in the Rain," "Anything Goes," and many more. Most recently, he is starring in "Catch Me If You Can."

12 He Has Won Awards For Being On Broadway

Bleu is a great actor and singer and he has proved himself as a dancer...and he has the awards to show for it. He won the Chita Rivera Award for Outstanding Male Dancer in 2019. He won the award for his performance in "Kiss Me, Kate." The show also won the first-ever Tony Award for Best Musical.

11 Two Studio Albums

Bleu is a great singer and proved that in the "High School Musical" franchise. He released his debut album, Another Side, in 2007, which included the single, "Push It To The Limit." The album debuted at number 36 on the Billboard 200 chart. His second album, Speed of Light, was released in 2009. It was less commercially successful.

10 His Great Uncle Is Joseph Callari

His family is full of actors, including his dad, David Reivers, who starred in "Charmed" and played his father in "Jump In!" and HSM3. But his great uncle is Joseph Callari, best known for "Modern Family," "Criminal Minds," and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." He won the IndieFEST Film Awards of Excellence for Best Actor.

9 He Started In The Entertainment Business At The Age Of Two

He starred in television commercials as young as the age of two, for many brands, such as Hasbro, Bounty, Nabisco, and Life cereal. He also started dancing and taking ballet and jazz classes. He was usually the only boy in class. Bleu learned his moves at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.

8 Never Toured Solo

After "High School Musical: The Concert", Bleu would co-headline with other artists but never did a solo tour. He has toured with Aly & AJ, Bianca Ryan, Drake Bell, Vanessa Hudgens, Raven-Symoné, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, The Jonas Brothers, and other Disney Channel stars.

7 Bleu Is Not His Real Last Name

Many celebrities adopt a stage name and Bleu is one of them. His family name is Reivers. After he got married, he posted a photo of he and his wife, with the caption, Mr. and Mrs. Reivers. Bleu is of Italian and Jamaican descent. David Reivers, his father, is also an actor and has starred in numerous commercials and television shows, as previously mentioned.

6 His Dog Is Adorable

Bleu's dog, Gigi, is a 9-year-old German Shepherd. He shares the dog with his wife. Bleu posts the dog a lot on his social media but it doesn't seem like he gets to see him a lot due to his busy Broadway schedule. We love when celebrities post their pets for everyone to enjoy. 5 Originally Auditioned For Ryan Evans

At the time of his audition, he didn't even know about the role of Chad Danforth, so he auditioned for Ryan Evans. Originally, the roles of Ryan and Sharpay Evans were written to be black characters. They found someone to play Sharpay, but not the equivalent to play Ryan, so they rewrote.

4 Couldn't Really Play Basketball

In addition to dance and Wildcat auditions, there were basketball auditions for HSM. He said he's not sporty, so he went into the audition and totally faked it. Once he was cast, he took a basketball with him 24/7...and even slept with it so he'd get more comfortable.

3 He Was An Ad Model As A Child

At four years old, Bleu worked as a Ford model in New York with Ashley Tisdale, a decade before "High School Musical." Tisdale's mom made the connection. He also appeared in print ads for stores such as Macy's, Target, Gap, and Toys "R" Us, and appeared in fashion spreads in magazines. His image even appeared on toy packaging.

2 He Has Three Sisters

Bleu is the oldest child. He has three younger sisters, Jag, Phoenix, and Hunter. They are very supportive of his Broadway career and attend many of his performances. He gets to see his siblings when he is performing on Broadway, as he is originally from New York City.

1 Appeared On "Say Yes To The Dress"

In 2016, he attended his then-fiancèe's dress fitting. The episode was titled "The Sasha Dress!" and aired in 2016. She picked out her dress at Kleinfelds. The show currently airs on TLC and has been running for 18 seasons. You can tell from the clips that he enjoyed seeing his beautiful bride all dressed up.
