This article is not like every other article you see on the Internet. No, I'm not saying it's much better than the other articles — what I'm trying to say is that it was not written for a specific group of people, like for a fanbase of a certain TV show or movie franchise, or some actor. No, this one was written for anybody who is shy, or awkward, or clumsy, or unable to normally socialize with other people without making themselves look like idiots. This article covers many bases: being broke, school probs, drinking, crushes, etc. But what matters is that all of the memes will most definitely speak to you on a spiritual level.
So here it is: 15 memes that definitely put the "me" in "meme." I hope you'll enjoy and relate to these memes as much as I did.
15 'No, Thanks, I'm Not Really Hungry'
I think it is safe to say that we have all, at least once, ended up in a situation where we didn't have any money left over whatsoever, and there was like, two more weeks until the next pay check (or, if you're an unemployed student, until your parents send you money again). So what happens in those terrible situations is that we end up being hungry 80% of the time, and the other 20% we only eat ramen noodles or pasta. And then, the worst feeling ever is when you go meet up with your friends somewhere and they decide to order some food, and you're there, just sitting, pretending not to be hungry because you're broke AF. Seriously, one of the worst feelings ever. Kudos to students who go through this almost every month.
14 We Are All Karen From 'Will And Grace'
Karen Walker is one of the funniest and most iconic female characters in the history of television. Well, that's my opinion (but you all know that I'm right, and just stating the facts). Karen has so many legendary lines and facial expressions, so you shouldn't be surprised by the fact that there are so many memes on the Internet featuring her. One of those memes is shown above. It's a screen cap from a scene where Karen is talking to a character named Ben Doucette. Ben asked Karen what her wine preferences were, and her memorable answer to that question was, "Honey, I'd suck the alcohol out of a deodorant stick, so you're asking the wrong gal." I mean, this line is so relatable, I mean... some people drink cough syrup when they're out of alcohol. Not that I do...
13 We Can All Relate To This Meme, Right?
I love the Internet. Seriously, I can't live without it. I guess you could say I am addicted. I mean, I'm not the only one, right? You're using it right now to look at memes, so I guess I could say that you love the Internet, too. How couldn't you? The Internet is so helpful — we all use it on a daily basis to stay connected with our friends and family; we use it to do our homework; we use social media to stalk people we like etc. But OMG how bored do we get when the Internet goes out?! And then you have to leave your room and talk to those housemates of yours (they call themselves your family or something like that?). Oh, let's not even discuss all of those creatures flying around your house. What the hell are those anyway?
12 'If I Wash It Tomorrow, Then It Can Still Be Clean For That Party...'
I think it's safe to say that it will be mostly women with longer hair who would find this meme relatable. Well, maybe also men with longer hair. Anyways, women with longer hair know how real the struggle is to wash your hair, dry it, then try to make it look decent. Obviously, they don't want to go through that every single day, so every time before actually washing their hair, they would make strategic plans about it. I'm not really sure how that works, but I imagine it to be like this math meme lady. Am I right? Probably not. In that case, I would be very grateful if some of the girls reading this would let me know how that works and maybe share some tips. Sharing is caring.
11 'It's A Small Event So Just Wear Something Casual'
Here's a question for you: when you saw this fancy pupperina here, what was the first thing you thought of? The first thing I thought of was, well, me. How narcissistic, am I right? What I mean is, this dog reminds me of me when I'm near the person I like. And this whole meme in general is very relatable. I mean, when I hear my crush will be at a party I'm also attending, I'll do my best to amaze them, I would totally wear something eye-catching. Seriously, if you think Lady Gaga is extra with her costumes, then you should see me around my crushes. And come on, don't be too judgmental, you know you'd do the same thing. We all try to be more attractive to the person we're fawning over.
10 Literally Every Time You Skip School
Being a student is not easy. I mean, it's not too difficult either, but it's very tiring and most of the times boring. Like, you have to study a lot, you have to read way too much, and should I even start talking about all the essays and exams you have to take? Terrible! And in order to be a decent student, you have to go to lectures every day. And let me tell you, sitting in one place for such a long time, listening to your professor talking about stuff you don't care about is not fun at all.
But once in a while, you will, for some reason, skip classes. And almost always, on that day, so many things go down in that classroom that you start hating yourself for not going. It's terrible because it's much more interesting witnessing drama in the classroom yourself than listening to some boring lectures.
9 This Is A Real Definition Of A Panic Attack
Living alone sounds amazing, doesn't it? Once you get your own place, everything is much better — you can do whatever your heart desires, without having to listen to your parents or roommates complaining. But then again, living with your parents has its perks, and the biggest one is food. Your mom or dad probably cooks for you every day; they might do your laundry; and when they go grocery shopping, they'll buy you stuff you didn't even ask for. Sometimes, though, they'll even take you with them, and that's when the worst thing would happen... Your mom or dad would leave to get one last thing while the cashier is scanning the last item! That's when the panic attack starts happening, and that's when we start looking like Kim Kardashian in this meme.
8 Why Are Kim Kardashian Memes So Relatable?
We all like to be a bit lazy sometimes, am I right? I mean, is there anything better than just staying home, watching TV or reading a book, all snuggled up in a warm blanket? I know, it’s what dreams are made of. All you need is a glass of wine and you’re in heaven. Well, when it comes to college, students feel the same way. They would rather be gaming, partying, or just watching Netflix than actually studying. And that’s what they will do (most of the time). I mean, who can blame them, right? Studying can be so boring sometimes (well, most of the times, actually). But when they realize that they have several exams and due dates for assignments the following week, that’s when it gets interesting. They had so much time to get ready for exams and to do their essays, but now they have to do it all in four days.
7 My 2017 Summer Body Is Definitely Not Ready
Every year it's the same thing over and over again. Sometimes in April or May, we realize that summer is almost here and that our body is not in the best shape, so we decide to try and improve that. We start dieting and exercising, and let's be honest here, that usually lasts less than a week, then we go back to being lazy couch potatoes who eat nothing else but junk food. But hey, don't worry about that body of yours because, as Lady Gaga says, "I'm beautiful in my way, 'cause God makes no mistakes."
And don't forget, you might have said you'd improve your body before the summer starts, but you never said which summer. So just let it go, and try again next year. Or don't try at all, because your body is always summer ready.
6 What Is Love? Is It Edible?
Unlike most people, I like being single. That may have something to do with the fact that I'm not very physically attractive. Ha! I'm just joking (actually I'm not, even my mom thinks so). So yeah, I think being single is amazing for several reasons. First, there's no awkward first dates or the whole super-long dating process. Second, you don't have to share your food with anyone (yes, you get the whole pizza for yourself). And third, there's no stupid fights and drama about some irrelevant things.
Yup, that kid in the background of this meme is me, eating and being super happy about it, while the poor guy in the front will have to share his food with his new girlfriend. Admit it, you feel like the kid in the background, too. Cake and ice cream is 10 times better than smooching someone you're not serious about.
5 'I Guess I Don't Really Need It'
How many times does this happen to you? You find something you really, really like on some online retail store, and you decide to buy it. You're way too happy about everything you gathered (which is a bad sign, by the way), so you quickly go to the checkout before it's sold out, and that's when you see it — you have to pay $5 EXTRA for shipping? Like, WTF? Nobody can afford that! It doesn't matter that the product you want is like, $100+. You have your principles, and according to them, that $5 is way too much! You weren't expecting that. So you just decide that you don't really need whatever the hell it is that you picked out. All you an do is hope that you'll find it somewhere else for less money. Or a some super cheap knockoff version of it (whatever, nobody will know it's a knockoff anyway).
4 Literally All Of Us At Every Party
Can we all just take a moment just to think about this meme for a second? It literally represents so many people, it's just crazy! Making friends is difficult, and keeping them is even more difficult. Most of us feel like we have to act so fake in order for people to like us, because we're just that weird and socially awkward. At least that's how I am. And then, when I'm sure those people are the right ones (ones as in potential friends), I start revealing my true self (and most of the time they regret becoming friends with me).
Oh, and by the way, there's another version of this meme; the photo is the same, only the caption is a little different. The other caption says, "When you finish doing your make-up but you realize it looks terrible." I'm sure a lot of you will find that one very relatable as well!
3 Being A Student Means Having Noodles For Breakfast, Lunch, And Dinner
Oh, here we go again with the broke college student related meme (I told you this article would be full of random memes, didn't I?). As you already know, either from your own experience or from the stories you might have heard, most students are broke AF. Yes, they get a scholarship or if not, they get money from their parents every month. But most of the time, that's not enough. Plus, the fact that students suck at managing their own money is definitely not helping, so most of the time they spend 80% of their money in the first two weeks, and then they have to starve and eat noodles for the rest of the month. That’s easy — you just eat Ramen for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day until your parents send you more money. Trust me, it’s not as difficult as it seems. But the only problem is, you’ll get sick of noodles after a week, but YOLO, that’s life.
2 When You Need A Pep Talk, But You Have No Friends
Being a student is not easy. Having a job is not easy. Competing in a athletic competition is not easy. There are numerous other things that we do on a daily basis, which are not as easy as they seem. That is why sometimes, when we think we can't do it anymore, we need a small pep talk. And who better to give you that pep talk then yourself, am I right? So, what you need to do in those situations is go in front of a mirror and say, "You are beautiful and you're gonna do great today." It totally works, just ask this cute chubby bunny from the photo above (I'm not sure you would get an answer from him though, but he's still cute to look at).
1 This Is All Of Us, Every Weekend...
Alcohol... We all consume it, unfortunately. Not only is it bad for our health, but this toxic substance also makes us do stupid and reckless things, like call our ex-lovers and tell them how we're better off without them (or call our ex-lovers and beg them to come back). But damn it, for some reason we still drink it. And after many bad decisions, we all come to that point of our lives when we say, "That's it, I'm done drinking!" Fast-forward to the weekend and we're drunk AF again. Yup, that's why I chose to include this meme in this article — because we all make these stupid mistakes, we keep making fools out of ourselves, and for some mysterious reason, we still continue drinking alcohol. I guess we'll never learn.
