When talking about the best female fights in UFC history, Joanna Jędrzejczyk has made a great claim to be part of that conversation. The regular strawweight fighter has numerous records in that division and was the longest reigning champion in that division, holding the title for 966 days after winning the title in 2015, she eventually dropped it in 2017, more than two years later. If you add up all the reigns of everyone else who has held the title, from Carla Esparza, the first champion, to Rose Namajunas, to Jessica Andrade to current champion Zhang Weili, Jędrzejczyk has held it longer than all of them combined.

She may not get the attention of a Ronda Rousey or Amanda Nunes, but Jędrzejczyk is one of the finest fighters in the UFC women’s division and should earn herself a place in the Hall of Fame when she retired. For now, here are some things you should know about the Polish fighter.
