Texting is the main form of communication we millennials use nowadays, and it has its pros and cons. Since we are now accustomed to meeting people online, texting can be a great way to get to know someone, and it is more telling than we think.
Yes, some texts do get misinterpreted, and some men are very different in person than via text. That said, you can learn a lot about someone by the way they text.
If there's a new guy in town, his texting patterns will give away a lot about him. If he's firing up her phone, he may be in love. If he texts occasionally, he may be bored and lonely.
Nothing can replace in-person interactions, we know, but here are a few texts that any woman will receive if the man they're chatting up is bored.
First, this man needs to relax and grow some patience. Please do not be fooled by this type of guy and feel important if he is constantly hitting you up with question marks when you do not reply within minutes.
This man is obviously bored and expects you to always be glued to your phone to answer him when it's at his convenience.
If a man really loved you, he would always text you telling you that you're beautiful. Instead, a bored man who is just fishing for women to talk to will hit you up with a, "You look good in that picture" text right after you post your vacation snap on social media.
He's bored and is only messaging you because he wants to flirt and charm you for a while.
This man is so bored and lonely that he literally hides behind his phone screen. He will consistently message you asking you what you are doing, but he'll make no real-life plans together.
Why? Because it is convenient for him to text you as that's all the attention he needs. He's surely bored if he never suggests meeting up in person - #thankunext.
There is no denying that we all use our devices numerous times a day, so how does any man just “miss” a message?
He thinks he can get away with it, but ladies, do not be naive! He remembered to reach out to you days later when he got bored, again.
This vampire texter needs to get a serious grip! He's the bored guy that only comes alive in the nighttime when he thinks he can randomly hit you up with a "What are you doing?" text.
He's bored as heck at night and needs some entertainment, so he goes around texting women hoping at least one will answer.
Who likes these mindless stock responses? He does because he has nothing else better to say. You may ask him a bunch of questions, and his replies will always be the generic and dull "yeah" or "sure."
He's kind of like a robot, and we're pretty sure you don't want that in your life. It's just constant empty and boring reactions with him.
If he sends you this text constantly, do not be flattered. Shut down this unwarranted text ASAP. We all know that this man is no Prince Charming if he is always texting you with this icky text.
It is an objectifying text, and we all know very well what it means when he wonders if you're awake. You're also not the only one he's sending this text to, FYI.
If you're not one of his bros, why does he think it's all right to text you with a dull "What's up?"
He doesn't mind doing so, because he is completely lazy. A text like this implies that he has nothing to contribute, and he will probably send it over when he has nothing to do and needs some entertainment. How lame?
Oh, how we love receiving this text - NOT! Ladies, beware of the man who only texts you so that you can send him some pictures.
Some men have this notion that asking for pictures on Snapchat is romantic or something, but they need a reality check. These kinds of men are bored and looking for some free entertainment.
Obviously, he is not in love with you if he doesn't even have the decency to send you the heart eyes emoji at least. A man who is bored and doesn't have much to say will be a wink emoji repeat offender.
He doesn't even have words to share with you because he thinks a lame effort will be enough to win your attention. Guess again, dude!
You must be a comedian, or he must have some laughing gas because all he does is reply with "haha." Who knew you were that funny, right? Wrong.
In other words, this man is totally lazy and can't carry an actual conversation. It's a bland response, but he'll keep on texting you "haha" because he's bored out of his mind.
This is the type of guy who likes to disappear and then resurface whenever he likes. Why? Because he is bored and has nothing else better to do. And, he also sends this text out of the blue because he thinks he can come and go whenever he pleases.
When that other girl drops him and he needs attention because he's lonely, the "Hey stranger" text will come your way.
If you ask him what his plans are and he always sends you a text saying, "I'll let you know" it's because he has no interest in making plans with you ahead of time.
He's probably only texting you because he needs some company, but only company through the phone. That means, he will brush off your invites by answering you with that text.
What this text basically translates into is, "Text you later again when I am bored and lonely." This text is basically a nice way of saying that he is not down to chat with you ATM but he will still make you stick around so that when he wants to chat you up, he can.
He's basically hoping that you'll be available when he's bored.
Can this be any more telling? Some men are blunt enough to tell you they're bored but it doesn't make it any more right on their part. Well, "I'm so bored" is another way of saying "I am thirsty for attention."
If he always opts for this text, he is clingy and does not have much else to say. Also, he needs you to instantly reply to his message to entertain him - what a nerve!
