15 Times Paris Geller From 'Gilmore Girls' Was A Complete And Total #Savage

Paris Geller is one of the best characters in Gilmore Girls. Even Jimmy Fallon himself stated that she’s his favorite character in the show. At first, maybe you were a bit annoyed by her attitude. But, like Rory, you grew to love her. She always pushed Rory to be the best version of herself. In short, Paris was the ultimate frenemy. Can you imagine having someone like her as a classmate, though? That definitely would have kept things interesting! Paris is outspoken, ambitious, stern and intelligent. She always speaks her mind and isn’t afraid of anyone. Some may even call Paris a savage. Here are 15 memes showing that Paris is a true #savage.

15 When she told off Logan

Via: img.buzzfeed.com

After Rory found out that Logan slept with other girls during a fight they had, she was understandably upset. Logan, however, thought that they were broken up at the time. When he stopped by Paris and Rory’s place to try to patch things up with Rory, Paris answers the door. She gives Logan a piece of her mind, saying, “You, Logan Huntzberger, are nothing but a two-bit, spoiled waste of a trust fund. You offer nothing to women or the world in general. If you were to disappear from the face of the earth tomorrow, the only person that would miss you is your Porsche dealer.” Damn. Paris just doesn’t hold back, does she? Rory sure is lucky to have a friend like that to stand up for her, though.

14 When she valued getting ahead more than sleep

If there’s one word to describe Paris (besides “savage”), it’s “go-getter.” Since day one, Paris has been competitive. Her goal is to be the best student at school and eventually, have the best career in the world. She knows that in order to reach her goals, she not only needs good grades, but an amazing network, as well. So, when she’s at Yale, Paris doesn’t pass up the opportunity to “solidify [her] social standing.” The tradition at Yale is to keep the door to your dorm open during the first party of the year so that students could wander in and out. Paris thinks it’s a great idea, but Rory is hesitant to go along with it. She says she might be tired that night, but Paris tells her, “For God's sakes, Grandpa, you're eighteen. Sleep when you're dead.”

13 When she gave an unwelcoming welcome speech

You can always count on Paris to get a job done. Needless to say, she’s a workaholic. So, in that sense, Paris is a great boss. But, where she’s lacking is in her people skills. Most bosses would tell their team that their door is always open, but Paris is exactly the opposite. As editor at the Yale Daily News, she announces, “The work will be hard. It has to be hard. Nothing less than perfect will be tolerated. Please remember that I am your editor. I am not your mother or your hugger. If you need some love, get a hooker. If you're having a bad day, find a ledge or a way to deal. My door is not open to you ever. You have five minutes to enjoy your cookies. Welcome to the Yale Daily News.” Pretty sure the staff felt cozy and right at home with a welcome like that…

12 When she told a random student to tie their tubes

One thing Paris isn’t afraid to do is call people out for saying or doing something stupid. We’ve seen her do it time and time again. In fact, we wouldn’t doubt that she does it in every single episode she appears in.

In this particular scene, Paris and Rory come running into their dorm soaking wet. A female student sees them and asks, “Is it raining?” Paris replies, “No, it's National Baptism Day. Tie your tubes, idiot.” Ouch. What a savage. She could have replied with a simple “yes” or if she really had to be sarcastic, she could have said, “No, really?” But, this is Paris we’re talking about here, so she has to take things to the next level.

11 When she informed Rory there's no deep Thelma and Louise thing

Paris doesn’t just reserve her harsh words for strangers or her friends’ exes; she also speaks her mind to the people she knows very well. In “Hammers and Veils,” Paris is upset because she thinks that Rory was going out with Tristin. So, she tries to convince Rory not to go to an event that she will be attending. Rory, however, gets the hint that Paris just doesn’t want her there. So, she asks Paris if she will stay mad forever. Paris responds, “I'm sorry if you thought we had some kind of deep Thelma and Louise thing going here, but we didn't.” It’s not hard to see why Paris doesn’t have any friends at Chilton. Luckily for her, Rory always sees the good in people (even if it means having to look really hard).

10 When she was cautious of party food

Via: az616578.vo.msecnd.net

When you go throw a party, you usually put in a lot of work to make sure that the food is right. After all, food is the main reason most people even go to parties, let’s be real here. And Emily Gilmore is one person that puts a lot of effort into food and everything else that comes along with a party. She throws a huge party for Rory’s 21st birthday and makes sure that everything is perfect, right down to the drink named after her precious granddaughter.

But, Paris doesn’t care about the effort other people put into things. She always expects them to fall short, anyway. So, she shows up to Rory’s party and says, “We had to stop and eat first in case the food here sucked.”

9 When she tried speed dating

Via: az616578.vo.msecnd.net

Paris shows up to a speed-dating session (yes, that fact alone is laughable) and things don’t go well. The first guy she talks to asks her if her parents travelled a lot (since she’s named after a city) and of course, Paris replies with some sarcastic questions that probably made that guy feel like an idiot. After they get past the topic of their names, the guy asks her what her major is. Paris replies, “Seriously, you've got one minute to make an impression and that's all you can come up with? Here, I'll ask you a question. Was the last time you had an interesting thought, when you considered flinging yourself off a building?” And with that, she dings the bell (which is the equivalent to dropping the mic).

8 When she tried convincing Rory to run for vice president

Via: s.yimg.com

This may sound like an insult, but Paris meant it as a back-handed compliment. She was trying to convince Rory to run as her vice president. When Rory asks why, Paris replies, “Because people think you’re nice. You’re quiet, you say excuse me, you look like little birds help you get dressed in the morning. People don’t fear you.” Rory then says, “Hey, I haven’t been dressed by a bird since I was two.” Rory is probably the only one who always has a good response to Paris’ savage sayings. But, Paris was right in saying what she said this time. Rory does look completely innocent and everyone likes her.

7 When she made a list of enemies

Via: unetouristereveuse.files.wordpress.com

While at Yale, Rory finds that someone wrote “die jerk” on the door to the dorm she shares with Paris. They don’t know who did it or who the target was. Of course, Paris wants to find out. So, she says, “Now let's face it, I'm the most likely target, so I've already made up a list of enemies, which I've narrowed down from twenty-six to five.” The fact that Paris actually made a list of her enemies is funny and scary at the same time. Most of us say things like “you’re on my list” but we mean a list in our head, not a literal list written down on paper. We don’t know what’s worse—the fact that she has a real list or the fact that she had 25 people on her list (and apparently that’s only including the enemies in the building, not the entire school).

6 When she threatened a doctor’s reputation

Via: img.buzzfeed.com

A lot of people have respect for authority and would trust anything a professional says. Paris is not one of those people. She isn’t afraid to tell anyone (not even a doctor) what’s on her mind and let them know her power. While at the hospital getting help for Professor Asher, Rory hears Paris yelling at a doctor: “Why do I have to say everything twice? Huh? Why? I don't want my time wasted that way. You don't want your time wasted that way. Lives are dependent on you very people not wasting your time. I came here because of your reputation. Don't make me destroy that reputation.” That, coming from Paris Geller, should be enough to make any doctor do their job as quickly as possible.

5 When she made it clear she isn’t patient

Via: lovelace-media.imgix.net

While Paris is running for class president, she asks Madeline and Louise to do a poll to see what her chances of winning are. When they come in saying they’ve got the results, Paris is anxious to hear. But, the two girls start talking and go a bit off-topic (as they usually do), leading Paris to remark, “I’m sorry, have I ever been mistaken for a patient person?” Right away, they give her the results.

Most people would hear the person out as they ramble on or perhaps mention that they are running low on time. But Paris? Well, she’s a savage so she says things like this and it always works.

4 When she shared her thoughts about laziness

Via: cookiesandsangria.files.wordpress.com

Paris decides to become a private tutor after learning that the Princeton Review charges students a fortune, but only pays their tutors pennies. A mother and her daughter, Caitlyn, come to her for help and Paris says, “She's got a "C" average, which means she's either lazy or stupid. I can work with either. Frankly, sometimes stupid is easier. I can scare the stupid out of you, but the lazy runs deep.” Ouch. Well, at least she’s honest, right? Paris then goes on to ask the girl’s mother to take an aptitude test because she needed “to get a realistic sense of Caitlyn's true potential, and genetics is by far the most reliable indicator.”

3 When she sarcastic about Rory’s return to Yale

Via: pinterest.com

Paris values education, but that goes without saying. After all, her entire life revolves around school. When Rory drops out of Yale, everyone is shocked. Paris is upset, too, but she always knew Rory would return. When the day finally comes, Rory calls Paris, does a drum roll and tells her she’s coming back to Yale. Paris isn’t at all surprised. She replies, “You really had to drum roll that? Of course you're coming back. What are you going to do without a college degree? Drive a forklift?” Damn. What’s wrong with driving a forklift? Well…everything is, according to Paris. She could’ve at least sounded a bit happier for her friend! Actually, it’s Paris, so that may not be possible.

2 When she couldn’t deal with incompetence

Via: pinterest.com

If you thought you were picky or a perfectionist, you haven’t seen Paris Geller. Not only is Paris a perfectionist in regards to her own work, but she’s also one when it comes to the staff of the Yale Daily News. She’s always complaining that the writers don’t proofread or check their sources. One day, Rory walks into the newsroom to find a very stressed-out Paris. When Rory asks what’s wrong, Paris says, “I'm just dealing with the usual incompetence around here, that’s all.” Apparently, the entire staff (except Paris herself) is incompetent because there were barely any pictures or articles she approved for the paper. Now, there’s an employer no one would want to work for. First, she tells them her door isn’t ever open to them and now, this.

1 When she revealed she has a revenge notebook

Via: img.buzzfeed.com

So, we’ve already learned that Paris actually makes list of her enemies, but she also has a revenge notebook! Paris went to Washington and was asked out on a date by a guy named Jamie. However, he didn’t call her since their date. When Paris and Rory spot him, Rory suggests that perhaps he came to explain why he hasn’t called. But Paris says, “I already wrote his name in my revenge notebook.”

Is anyone else curious to see this notebook? We sure are! How many people are in this notebook? Is there a revenge plot tailored to each of them? What kind of revenge does Paris seek? These are all questions that should have been answered in the Gilmore Girls revival.
