Kyle Busch is in some ways, one of the most polarising drivers that there has been in NASCAR. He is surely one of the fastest the sport has seen. And he recently took his second cup series championship. But, he does seem to divide opinions when it comes to the fans.

Many see him as a bit of a cry baby, and many think he whines a lot. Some of the pundits and fellow drivers have also shared similar views. But it is not all doom and gloom with the Busch story. There are those who have a lot of support for him and want to see him succeed.

Some of the other drivers are also quite friendly with him as well. This list contains 17 things that others have said about Kyle Busch, in one way or another. Some of the things here are quite negative, and others are quite positive. It all adds to the intriguing character that is, Kyle Busch.

17 Darrell Waltrip

Darrell Waltrip is the brother of Michael Waltrip and was for many years regarded as perhaps the best driver in NASCAR. In 2008, Waltrip said of Kyle Busch "He's the only driver I know who can go three-wide all by himself...He's hoppin' around down there like a little league shortstop."

16 Dale Earnhardt Jr

Dale Earnhardt Jr and Kyle Busch enjoyed a fairly heated rivalry when they raced together, but the two are on very good terms as of now. Earnhardt Jr could see a lot of his late father in Busch, and said: "That's the way dad raced and Kyle has that same style—very aggressive."

15 Brian Vickers

Vickers and Busch have had a rivalry for a while now, and he isn’t one to get afraid to call out the now two-time series champion. They had an altercation in 2009 at the Nationwide Series race, and Vickers said “Typical Kyle Busch, crying like a little baby” after Busch had called him an “idiot”.

14 Joey Logano

Logano and Busch have certainly not got on well at times. Just look at the altercation they had a few years ago in the pitlane. That got very heated, very fast! It got a lot of people talking for a long time. About it, Logano said “That is not the way I do things,” as he would not take a swing at a driver.

13 Jeff Gordon

Jeff Gordon is one of the most highly decorated NASCAR drivers that we have seen, and for a few years, he raced with Busch before he retired from the sport. After one race, Gordon said, "If he can win here, he's probably going to think he can win anywhere...and maybe he can." Busch is one of the best there is.

12 Kurt Busch

Of course, we could not go through this list without looking at his brother, Kurt. The two of them have had a somewhat interesting relationship and have never been too far away from conflict with each other. In 2001 though, he said "You think I'm a pretty good race car driver? Wait until you see my brother. He's the best driver in the family."

11 Danica Patrick

Perhaps it comes as no surprise that Danica Patrick and Kyle Busch have come to blows. The two of them are very fiery personalities. In 2017 at the Love New York 355, Patrick spun out and she blamed Busch for it. On the radio, she said: “(Expletive) 18 absolutely (expletive) took me out! (Expletive), (expletive), (expletive)! Now I know why people hate him!”. Yikes!

10 Kyle Petty

Kyle Petty is another highly decorated NASCAR driver, and again it is perhaps no surprise that he has said a couple of things about Busch. One fun little comment that Petty made about Busch is this one back in June 2008, which said "You hear that? People are cheering...for Kyle Busch." That’s one way to stir things up!

9 Brad Keselowski

Brad Keselowski does not let things lie either. He is another driver not afraid to speak his mind. The two have had a rivalry for years, a 1-2 at Talladega in August highlighting it. Keselowski has simply called Busch “an ass” which certainly shows how he really feels about him. Clearly, there is not much love there.

8 Bubba Wallace Jr

Bubba Wallace gained a lot of fans for his awesome performance in the 2018 Daytona 500 where he finished second, but he got angry when Busch said that NASCAR’s marketing of young drivers was “dumb” and “stupid”. At Watkins Glen after spinning him out, Wallace said “I’m going to get my respect on the track, and I don’t care who it is. I won’t put up with no (expletive), so I flat out wrecked his (expletive) back.”

7 Steven Wallace

Steven Wallace is the son of Rusty Wallace, although his career has not quite hit the same heights as that of his father. Busch has been called a cry baby, and a few other things before, and in 2008 Wallace said “ I jerked him by the helmet and just rattled his cage a little. He's just a little girl about it."

6 Kevin Harvick

Harvick and Busch actually don’t seem to get on too badly. The pair have had a rivalry in the past but now they really do seem to get along very well. Harvick once said that there was “No one I want to beat more than Kyle,” but for the last few years, things have been pretty good between the two drivers.

5 Kyle Busch

It is perhaps no surprise that Busch has said things about himself. Drivers do so all the time so it is only natural. He wore his championship ring from 2015 on his middle fingers. And when asked about that, he said “It was just the one that it fit,” although I’m sure there was more to it than just that.

4 The Fans

The fans certainly have some interesting views on Busch. He isn’t polarising, per say, but he does garner some rather interesting views from them. Back at Dover in 2008, one sign from a NASCAR fan said "M&M's melt in your mouth, and crack under pressure." Probably one of the most amusing digs at a NASCAR driver I’ve ever seen.

3 John Roberts

John Roberts is a former broadcaster for NASCAR, having been one of the many faces of the NASCAR coverage on Fox. Being a pundit and broadcaster, he has had his own views on Busch. In 2008, he said, "They're stinking up the show every weekend and loving every minute of it." Bush sure loves controversy.

2 Juan Pablo Montoya

Juan Pablo Montoya is one of the most famous racing drivers there is, after some great exploits in IndyCar and Formula 1, and he raced in NASCAR for a few years too. An incident in New Hampshire back in 2008 lead Montoya to say that Busch had “crossed the line”, although Busch could say “yeah, the finish line”.

1 Kyle Petty

There have been a few good Kyle Petty quotes about Busch and it would have been rude to not include a few on this list, so here is another one. In 2008 he said "You hear that? People are cheering...for Kyle Busch." Which is rather amusing! Many seem to dislike Busch. Others simply love him.
