Thankfully for anyone that wants to hold onto that easily digestible concept, there have been several celebrity couples over the years who have definitely seemed unlike one another.

Of course, just because people enjoy saying that opposites attract it doesn’t mean that the sentiment always holds true. For instance, some celebrity couples seem like they are very similar people from the outside looking in, but this is not the case. With all of that in mind, it is time to take a look at this list of 18 celebrity couples that prove opposites attract and two that show they don’t.

In order for a celebrity couple to be considered for possible inclusion on this list, they first and foremost need to have dated at some point. For the purposes of this list, it makes no difference if they are currently involved or are a relic of the past. On top of that, the two people involved in the relationship either need to have seemed like they were opposites in some way or they need to come across like they are one and the same.
