Dylan and Cole Sprouse became household names when they starred on the Disney Channel show, Suite Life of Zach and Cody and then the spinoff show, Suite Life on Deck. Some people may know Cole from his work on Friends as Ben, the son of Ross. Afterwards the child actors took a break from acting for a few years to focus on themselves. Most of their fans (including the twins themselves) never thought they'd be in the spotlight again.

Now that they are adults and no longer child stars, the twins have gone back to acting. Cole currently plays Jughead on the CW show Riverdale. Dylan will star in the After sequel, After We Collided, as the character Trevor. Since a lot has happened since they were on the Disney Channel Games, it's time to catch up with our favorite twins other than the Olsen twins.

20 They were Born in Italy

Dylan and Cole Sprouse were born in Arezzo, Tuscany, Italy to Melanie Wright and Matthew Sprouse. The family moved back to the United States when the twins were only four months old. While they have dual citizenship, they were primarily raised in Long Beach, California.

19 Cole has a Degree in Archeology

In 2011 Cole started studying at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study majoring in Archeology. He primarily focused on "early-stone tool tech." While most only know of the major thanks to Indiana Jones, Cole was influenced by his grandfather who was a geologist. If he hadn't given acting another shot, he would be getting his masters focusing on archeology and photography.

18 Dylan was Named after Dylan Thomas

Melanie Wright and Matthew Sprouse like a majority of parents wanted to name their children after people they admired. Dylan's full name is Dylan Thomas Sprouse after the famous poet. The poet died of an alcohol overdose. Ironically, Dylan Sprouse is interested in alcohol and has been brewing his own mead since he was sixteen.

17 Cole Worked for Meltdown Comics

Cole is an avid comic book lover. He interned at Meltdown comics before he went to NYU. The staff at the Los Angeles store were the first people he told when he booked Riverdale (sorry Dylan). They were also the ones who encouraged him to get into photography.

16 Dylan has a Degree in Video Game Design

After Suite Life on Deck wrapped, Dylan along with his twin studied at NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study where Dylan majored in video game design. He interned along with his brother at Meltdown Comics before starting college, which no doubt influenced him somewhat in his video game designs.

15 Cole is a Photographer

Cole is a well known photographer specializing in fashion and travel. He has shot other celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Sophie Turner, Noah Centineo, and Sam Smith. Cole has worked on campaigns for Italian Vogue, Elle, W magazine, etc. With his eye for the camera, it would be interesting to see him direct an episode of Riverdale.

14 Cole was Named After Nat King Cole

While Dylan was named after the famous poet Dylan Thomas, Cole was named after Nat King Cole. Nat King Cole was a famous jazz pianist, singer, and actor. He was the first African American man to lead his own tv show. He is known for his songs "The Christmas Song," "Mona Lisa," and "Nature Boy."

13 The Olsen Twins Signed Them to Design a Clothing Line

The Olsen twins saw an obvious connection to the Suite Life of Zach and Cody actors. The Olsen twins who have moved away from acting and into fashion signed them to create a boys fashion line. It would be interesting to see what Cole and Dylan would design today.

12 Dylan is a Co-Founder of a Meadery

In 2018 Dylan opened All-Wise, a meadery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. According to Vice, Dylan has been brewing mead since he was sixteen years old and has been experimenting with recipes ever since. In case All-Wise is too far away, they do have a YouTube channel.

11 They Wanted to do Another Season of Suite Life

The twins pitched a final season of Suite Life of Zach and Cody where they go back to the hotel and teach their antics to a new kid whose parents work at the hotel. This season would work into a spin-off show featuring their new prodigy. Disney turned them down when they refused to give the twins a producer's credit.

10 Cole Found a Dionysus Mask

While on an archaeology dig in Bulgaria, he discovered a mask of Dionysus. He specialized in predictive models on archeological sites. He would plot on a 3-D landscape and researched variables for the dig. He goes more into the specific on a YouTube video for GQ called Actually Me.

9 Their Grandma Got Them into Acting

When the twins were eight months old their grandmother, Jonine Booth Wright, an actress and a drama teacher, suggested it to their parents. If their grandmother hadn't made the suggestion, the twins probably would have never gotten into it themselves since they were more into athletic pursuits as children.

8 Cole has Another Instagram Account

Cole has another Instagram account called @Camera_Duels. On this account, he tries to beat fans trying to take pictures of him. Now that fans know about the account, they are slower to take pictures on purpose in hopes of getting onto the account. It definitely took all the fun out of the account for Cole.

7 They Got into Acting to Help Their Family

Cole and Dylan have been acting since they were eight months old. Most parents would not allow their children into the business at such a young age unless the child really pushed for it or they needed another income. Cole and Dylan must have felt the pressure to be the family's breadwinners once their careers started taking off.

6 Cole is the Younger Twin

Cole was born a whole fifteen minutes after Dylan. It may not seem like a lot, but it certainly feels like it to the twins. Dylan never lets Cole forget who the older brother is. He often points out how it makes him the superior twin on twitter.

5 They Took a Break from Acting to Attend College

After the finale of Suite Life on Deck aired, the twins made the conscious decision to fade out of the spotlight. At this point, they had been acting for their entire lives. It makes sense they wanted time to pursue other interests and to live without being bound to a production schedule.

4 They are Open to Acting Together Again

The twins are open to doing projects together again. They are not open to being on Riverdale together (seriously stop asking). Unless the two produce the project together it is highly unlikely they'll be on screen together again. Not many projects require casting twins and since they look similar they'll be competing against each other for roles.

3 Cole Didn't Have an Interest in Riverdale Initially

As an avid reader of comics after working at a comic book store, Cole had little interest in the Archie Comics tv show. As a former Disney actor, he didn't want to be in the clean family-friendly comic book adaption. It wasn't until meeting with the producers who explained their darker vision to him that he became interested.

2 Dylan Loves Anime

Dylan loves anime. Who can blame him? He has cosplayed as a few characters for Halloween. He recently expressed his love for the anime, Demon Slayer. He even stated he'll produce it to get it to have another season. Yes, please we need more Nezuko and Tanjiro.

1 They've Been Snowboarding Since They Were Four

Dylan and Cole were taught to snowboard at the young age of four. Hopefully, they were sick of snowboarding by the time they were on Disney Channel. Disney Channel executives and producers probably tried to put a stop to any activity that could put their two lead stars in traction. Filming child actors is a nonstop process since they grow up so quickly.
