The Knowles-Carter family changed forever the day their first-born came into this world. Blue Ivy Carter was born on January 7, 2012, and was the apple of their eye until they gave birth to twins, Rumi and Sir, on June 13, 2017. Now as a family of five, Beyonce and Jay Z are taking over both the pop and parent world.
While there's still little known about Beyonce and Jay-Z's twins, Blue Ivy has made herself well-known on her dad's track "Glory" and in many of her mom's music videos (like "Blue," "Formation," and "Spirit"). Blue Ivy may only be 7 years old but she's on the verge of being a star.
With Beyonce's Lion King being most recently released, let's take a look at some of Beyonce and Jay Z's most adorable pictures from their at-home family life.
20 The Road To Blue Wasn't Always Easy

According to She Knows, Beyonce said "...I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life." However, after flying back to New York for a doctor's appointment, the heartbeat was gone. Beyonce spoke out about the tragedy because not many women do.
19 Beyonce Became A Better Person After Having Blue

18 Pregnancy Isn't Always Morning Sickness And Aches
Hollywood tells us that the early stages of pregnancy is all morning sickness, aches, and sometimes bed rest. But not for Beyonce. According to She Knows, her pregnancy with Blue was "the most beautiful experience" of her life. Her life as a performer may have fulfilled her for most of her adult life, but it's motherhood that's "the greatest show on Earth."
17 But Her Second Pregnancy Was Harder
As aforementioned, Beyonce's first pregnancy was a breeze but her second one with Rumi and Sir was harder. “My body went through more than I knew it could," she told Oprah Magazine. Like many mothers carrying twins, Beyonce developed toxemia, preeclampsia which is why doctors insisted Beyonce have an emergency c-section. Thankfully, Beyonce bounced back and both babies were born safely.
16 She Breastfed All Three Babies
Thanks to social media, how a mother chooses to feed her children can get a lot of negative feedback (even though the only people who should be concerned are mama and baby). Nevertheless, Beyonce noted that she breastfed all three of her children. According to Yahoo, "It’s just so good for the baby and good for yourself.”
15 She And Husband Jay Z Lead By Example
Some parents lead their children through speech and stories but Jay Z and Beyonce lead through their own actions. After Blue was born, she told Anderson Cooper, "I realized why I was born and more than anything all of the things I want to pass onto my child, and the best way of doing that is not by preaching or telling her but showing her by example.”

You may think it's impossible for Jay Z, Beyonce, and their kids to live normal lives but they're going to try anyway. 12 After Her Twins Were Born, Performing Didn't Matter Anymore
After going from a mother of one to a mother of three within a couple of years is a lot to add to a person's plate. After having twins, Beyonce's mind was on raising her family — not the stage. According to Pop Sugar, Beyonce didn't want to focus on work when her babies needed her more. "My mind wanted to be with my children. People don’t see the sacrifice. I would dance and go off to the trailer and breastfeed the babies. The days I could I would bring the children.”
11 She Even Loves Changing Diapers!
There aren't too many parents out there who love changing their baby's diapers. In fact, if there was one segment of childhood that parents are fond of, it's potty time. But for Beyonce and Jay Z? I love it all."

Due to the severity of her situation, Beyonce had an emergency C section to give all parties the best chance of living a healthy life.
8 She Believes In Self-Love
Many moms (celebrities included) explain that once the kids come, they tend to lose themselves. They're so busy taking care of these little humans that their own hopes and dreams hit the sidelines. But for Beyonce, self-care is important. "Physically, it was a lot to juggle," she said. "I have children, I have a husband, I have to take care of my body."
7 Nothing Is Better Than Being Called Mama
Beyonce is a wife, a daughter, a sister, a recording artist, and an award-winner, but no title is better than being called mama. According to She Knows, Beyonce said "I worked harder than probably everybody I know to get those things. But nothing feels like my child saying, ‘Mommy!’ Nothing feels like when I look my husband in the eyes.”
6 Blue Pushes Jay Z To Do More Musically
