There was a time when we best knew John Krasinski as Jim Halpert from The Office, but in recent months he has been making headlines for his work on the brilliant movie A Quiet Place, which he wrote, directed, and starred in opposite his wife, Emily Blunt. It's a film that all the celebrities are talking about, and it's earned Krasinski a lot of friends in high places. But there is something else that the actor should be making headlines for, and that's his Twitter account.

Krasinski has millions of followers, but it's not nearly enough and it almost seems as though his social media is a little underappreciated. This is where we step in; although Ryan Reynolds is known to be the funny man on Twitter (if you want a good laugh this is the place you go), it seems Krasinski can give him a run for his money. After all, he has proven his comedic talents time and time again. But his account is also a treasure trove of information, revealing everything from his close celebrity friends and the bromances they share, to his love of Beyoncé and everything she does. Then there are also the moments that Krasinski's tweets prove he can turn into a total fangirl, and below are 20 tweets of John Krasinski's that we absolutely love.

20 Even Famous Actors FanGirl Over Stephen King’s Praise

Most recently, John Krasinski has been receiving praise for his work on A Quiet Place. The drama/thriller film was released in April of 2018, and was written and directed by Krasinski, who also stars in the film alongside his wife, Emily Blunt.

This film has been loved by fans, as well as celebs, but the praise that Krasinski was particularly happy to receive came from the famed author, Stephen King, who is well-known for penning novels in the supernatural, science fiction, and horror genres. And many of his novels have been turned into films. King decided to take to Twitter to share his thoughts on how he felt the film was an “extraordinary piece of work” and in addition to the acting being terrific, the thing that really gripped King was the silence, and how it “makes the camera's eye open wide in a way few movies manage.”

This is high praise, especially coming from someone as accomplished as King, and Krasinski freaked out about it in the best way possible. His tweet is how we imagine everyone would react had they just received feedback from someone they admire. And you can’t help but love Krasinski for how relatable his response was, proving that despite his success he's still humble.

19 Apparently Emily Blunt Is Not His Only Love

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have been married since 2010, after exchanging vows in Italy, and they are undoubtedly one of the sweetest couples in Hollywood. They have been together for almost a decade, and it seems that from the first moment Krasinski met Blunt he knew she was someone he wanted to have in his life. He recalled this moment in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres (via People), saying, “I met her and I was so nervous. I was like, ‘Oh god, I think I’m going to fall in love with her.’ As I shook her hand I went, ‘I like you.’"

But it seems that his wife is not the only person who has his heart, because so does his friend, American filmmaker Rian Johnson. Johnson is responsible for several films, including the 2017 film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and the 2012 drama/thriller, Looper. In response to a tweet from Johnson, Krasinski replied by writing, “I love you man,” adding that they should probably have a talk with Blunt about their bromance, sooner rather than later. Obviously, it’s a joke, which is why it’s hilarious because it shows off Krasinski’s cheesy and goofy side — a side we all adore

18 He Needs Your Help With His Beard

John Krasinski is the sort of guy who likes to have fun, and this includes tweets about his appearance. Back in 2013, he was still trying to figure out whether he would have looked good with a beard or not, and what better way to make up your mind, than by asking Twitter for their reactions?!

Except, instead of saying he grew the beard, as you would, Krasinski showed that he is different to everyone else in Hollywood, or at least his humor is, because he claimed he “bought” the beard. And now he wanted to know if people thought it looked good or not so much.

But that’s not the only hilarious thing though, he also felt the need to point out that since this is a car selfie, he is not driving, but parked.

The interesting thing about this is not just because this tweet shows off Krasinski's humor, but also because people have a strange obsession with his facial hair and there are multiple articles online about it, not to mention the many, many tweets that prove just how thirsty people are for Krasinski's beard. But this should also provide the actor with an answer to his question about it looking good, and that answer is yes.

17 His Bromance With Chris Pratt Is Everything

One of the best things about John Krasinski is his friendships with other celebs, and his tweets are really a treasure trove of information and hilarity. Like this one between himself and Chris Pratt, who was showing his love for Krasinski’s film, A Quiet Place. Pratt tweeted about how fans should go and see the movie “right now," implying that it was incredibly good, but also was "scary."

And Krasinski proved to the world that these two men have a big bromance because he replied by saying that Pratt was the “nicest guy ever.” But if you thought that these two only developed a bromance after Pratt saw Krasinski's latest film, you'd be wrong.

Although it's not immediately clear how they came to be friends, they've actually known each other for awhile now, and have even graced each other's social media accounts for a fitness challenge. They shared a video while they were together on Memorial Day to honor the American armed forces, and they have both played the roles of soldiers, with Krasinski in 13 Hours, and Pratt in Zero Dark Thirty.

Pratt has also starred in the 2012 movie The Five-Year Engagement with Krasinski's wife, Emily Blunt.

16 Turns Out He's A Big Fan Of Katy Perry’s One Song

Another thing you have to love and respect about John Krasinski is that he is unashamed to admit he likes pop, or more specifically, he's a fan of Katy Perry, as this tweet proves.

Although Krasinski doesn’t mention what song of Perry's he is referring, it was probably “Teenage Dream,” the same song that he sang on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon for the Lip Sync Battle, back in 2013. It was a hilarious rendition full of enthusiasm, but it seems the actor feels that perhaps Perry should be the only person to perform this song, and he revealed this in his tweet.

Krasinski decided to tweet about his singing abilities and then tagged Katy Perry in his message because he wanted to ask her for her forgiveness after singing her song.

Although we can relate to Krasinski’s comments because this is a super catchy song, and apparently it completely takes over the actor, even if the outcome is a little awkward.

Interestingly, it's not Perry's music that Krasinski listens to if he wants to get energized or hyped up because that role falls to Jay Z. The actor told Men's Health that his go-to workout song is “What More Can I Say” by Jay Z.

15 Imagine Going On A Double Date, For A Good Cause

Imagine getting the chance to go on a double date with John Krasinski and Emily Blunt? Few people would turn down this offer because the thought of spending time with these two would be the stuff a lot of people’s dreams are made of, and those dreams came true for someone because the couple offered fans the opportunity to spend time with them at the premiere of their movie A Quiet Place.

Their video revealed that the winner would get the opportunity to have a drink with them before the film, take photos on the red carpet (how many times does this opportunity come around?), and would be invited to an upscale after party. Plus the flights and the hotel were included.

And the way they chose to announce this offer was both brilliant and hilarious: in true Krasinski and Blunt style. So far so good, but the best part is it’s for a really good cause.

In order to be in with a chance of winning, fans had to support the Malala Fund, an initiative founded by student and Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai. The organization is working towards worldwide education for girls and aims to give those in the developing world the opportunity to attend secondary school.

14 Ryan Reynolds Is His Son And It Doesn't Get Better

John Krasinski and Emily Blunt have been married since 2010, and according to Brides, he has previously spoken about their marriage, saying, "I remember people saying, 'Wow, for Hollywood you guys have been together forever.' And I was like, 'What does that mean?' I mean, I would say nine years is average for most people. I'm a son of two people who have been married for—man, is it going to be 45 years this year?" So, the good news is it seems these two still have a long and happy marriage ahead of them because they have a long way to go if they want to compete with Krasinski's parents.

Considering that this couple has already been together for almost a decade, which is basically an eternity in Hollywood relationship terms, it makes sense that people would want to be apart of their family. And not just people, but Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds is arguably the funniest guy on Twitter, so every time he tweets something people take notice. Also, it turns out he thinks of Krasinski and Blunt as “family.”

This all started when he decided to tweet about how fantastic A Quiet Place was, and how fans should definitely go and see it. He did, twice in one week.

Reynolds loved the film so much that he decided the couple should be his parents; I mean, they were pretty incredible, hardcore parents in the film.

Obviously, Krasinski thought this was funny and replied by calling Reynolds his “son.” And a fan also decided to get in on this action with a hilarious Photoshop job, adding Reynolds in with his “parents,” and the actor responded to it, saying, “so proud of mom and papa.”

13 He Referred To Himself As 'This Dude'

John Krasinski was featured on the cover of Men’s Health and he was pretty impressed with the honor, even tweeting the cover with a shout out to the magazine. But the thing that’s really amusing about this piece is that he decided to refer to himself as "this dude."

When you see this photo, it's obvious that Krasinski is in very good shape, but the interesting thing is, he transformed his body in an incredibly short amount of time; just four months to be exact. In the accompanying interview for Men's Health, the publication chatted with the actor about how he bulked up before his role as a Navy SEAL in 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. So, how does one get really ripped in just four months? You enlist the help of personal trainer Jason Walsh.

The actor told the publication: “Getting stronger every day is thrilling.” But he admitted that it was not easy, and added, “I gotta be honest: It was brutal at times. We did tons of metabolic work, dragging sleds and all this stuff I’ve seen NFL players do.”

Also, if you were wondering what music is on Krasinski's workout playlist, the answer to that question is a lot of Jay Z.

12 He Is All About The Love For His Wife

The best thing about Emily Blunt and John Krasinski is not that they star in A Quiet Place together, but that they have a lovely relationship. Speaking to OK! magazine, Blunt shared, "We've always been able to talk and discuss everything together. It's an advantage having someone who understands your profession. We also try to be very supportive of each other and we know that we always have each other to rely on and make each other feel very loved and appreciated. It's a beautiful thing."

Blunt and Krasinski are a team, and this is one of the many reasons why their relationship works.

And Krasinski also proved Blunt's comments about how they love and support each other to be true when he took to Twitter to sing her praises ahead of her Saturday Night Live! performance in 2016. He wrote about how he was finding it "very hard" to contain his excitement ahead of her performance, with “the one and only” Bruno Mars, and his adoration is adorable.

The couple is not overly affectionate on social media to the point where everyone is like 'ugh, get a room,' but the few times that they do publicly show their love are joyous.

11 His Hilarious TBT Tweet And Whether He Took It Too Far

For most people, when they decide to share a throwback picture, it's usually from a few years back, and would be of them in a funny outfit or rocking an unusual hairstyle, but John Krasinski does Throwback Thursday posts a little differently than the rest of us. In 2015, he decided to share his very first TBT post, and he decided to go all the way back to infancy to do it. Taking to Instagram, and then screengrabbing the post and tweeting it, the actor shared a photo of himself as a little kid lying on a blanket on his parent's bed.

Krasinski knew he wanted to be an actor from a young age (maybe not quite as young as in his photo) and revealed to NPR that his parents were supportive of his decision to move to New York to follow his dreams. And when he told them of his decision, he revealed that his mom immediately responded by saying, "Great. Just promise me one thing: That in 2 1/2, three years, if you don't have a bite, if there's not that idea that maybe something's coming, you have to pull yourself out of it, because the only thing you can't ask me to do as your mom is tell her son to give up on his dreams."

10 When He Proved He Was Useless At Instagram

It seems that in 2015, John Krasinski had just discovered Instagram, but he still needed a lot of work to perfect his selfie skills before he could post a decent image. This tweet is hilarious because it's the most blurry image ever, and for someone who has worked both on and behind the camera (as a director) it's amusing that Krasinski couldn't get the perfect shot.

Initially, Krasinski also proved that he was not the biggest fan of social media and despite joining up on Instagram when the rest of the world did, he then disappeared. For months.

This left fans wanting more — not because his account was filled with attractive pictures of himself looking like a model, but because he used it as a place to make people laugh. And this is something that Krasinski loves to do, as proven by his long-running role on The Office, as well as, his admission of loving to be the class clown. He told NPR: "Growing up, I think that performance and trying to be more of the class clown or trying to be funny for my family was all I really cared about, but I never had the intention of being an actor."

9 John Krasinski Is Not Above LOLing At His Own Spelling

John Krasinski may be living "a lottery-ticket life," something which he told NPR he is incredibly grateful for every day, adding, "It's so unbelievably rare to get the opportunity that I did to be on The Office, so what I try to do instead is try to deserve to stay here. That's why I branched out to do writing and directing and producing." But despite branching out and becoming a writer, there are times when even Krasinski fails at spelling (making the rest of us feel a little better about ourselves).

In 2014, he decided to tweet about the Lip Sync Battle and how "The time has come...to reclaim my thrown!" Now, there's a very obvious spelling error in this tweet, which the actor decided to bring attention to with his next message, pointing out that he had a correction that needed to be made, and that the time had come to reclaim his "throne." He also blamed spell check for (not) "helping me speak English... good."

Why do we love this so much? That's simply because spelling mistakes like this happen to the best of us, but we find it hilarious that Krasinski admitted his error in this way.

8 You've Got To Love A Man Who Quotes Beyoncé

John Krasinski loves listening to Jay Z, and he knows the lyrics to Beyoncé's music, so, could he possibly get any more awesome? Well, it turns out he can, because the actor doesn't just sing along to Beyoncé, he also quotes her at the best moments.

Jimmy Fallon took to Twitter to joke about how he watched Krasinski's movie, A Quiet Place and was now unable to fall asleep because he was horrified.

Fallon questioned, "What psycho wrote this? Oh, you did. What crazy person directed this. You again. Cast your real wife as your wife? Come on!?! We have to talk." Now, he was obviously joking and the two men are good friends, but there is only one way to respond to a situation like this... by quoting Beyoncé. The song Krasinski decided to quote was called “Sorry,” and the lyrics include, “Sorry, I ain't sorry…”

But actually, this is not the first time that Krasinski has mentioned Beyoncé and when it comes to the singer, he actually turns into a bit of a fangirl. In response to a fan's tweet about what his favorite song from Queen Bey was, he replied by making a video and his response was this: "There's a lot of favorite Beyoncé songs, but really for me where she's most Bey is recently in the 'Formation' song." He added, "I'm a big fan of 'Formation,' I'm a big fan of Lemonade."

7 He's Letting Other Men Into His Marriage

American actor Ben Platt wrote that he was “Inching my way into this marriage” after he met John Krasinski and Emily Blunt at the Time 100 Gala in New York, a list that Krasinski had found his way onto in 2018. And it seems congratulations are in order for Platt because he has made his way into the family, at least, according to Krasinski’s response, in which he informed Platt that he didn’t have to try to be a part of his family, he already was. And if you note an earlier tweet from Ryan Reynolds, in which he claimed to be the couple's son, then it would mean that Platt also has a brother.

Time magazine notes that this was not the first time Platt had sang Krasinski’s praises either. After he had seen A Quiet Place, which Krasinski directed, he claimed he was “blown away by Renaissance man,” and then revealed he was in “awe of Emily Blunt who is perpetually brilliant.”

But if you were wondering what it was like for this couple to work together on the film, we have got you covered. Krasinski revealed in an interview with Variety that although he was initially nervous to direct his wife, they spoke about the script a lot before it came time to shoot. He continued, "She was so confident, so caring, so supportive that by the time we got to the shoot, there was nobody better to have on set than her. She stood next to me and watched me direct the scenes she was in or the scenes she wasn’t in. It’s the best collaboration I’ll ever have."

6 Krasinski Is A Big Supporter Of Other Stars, Namely Bryan Cranston

As mentioned several times in the entries above, John Krasinski has been getting a lot of celebrity support for his latest film, but the great thing about him is that he also shows his support for other people in the entertainment industry. And one tweet, in particular, caught my eye because it featured Krasinski and Bryan Cranston.

Krasinski seems to think that describing Cranston's acting as "great" would be the understatement of the century, and there is a piece of work that he's done that really caught his eye. That is the political series, All The Way, which stars Cranston as the lead, President Lyndon Johnson.

It's hard to know exactly how these two men know each other, but it does seem as though Krasinski has surrounded himself with a lot of really great people.

He spoke briefly about them in an interview with Playboy (via E! News), in which he said, “I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by incredible friends and family who keep me on track, and don’t let me spin out into my own universe for too long..." Really, you can only hope that Cranston turns out to be one of those people because this would be a remarkable friendship.

5 When Your Late, Just Make A Lame Joke To Brush It Off

In 2016, John Krasinski held a Q&A on his Twitter account. The only problem is he proved not to be the best at time management and actually ran late for his own chat with fans. But the reason we love this tweet is simply that he’s honest about when he messes up.

It turns out there was a fire alarm in the building and he had to leave, meaning that he was not on time for the Q&A. If he made this story up, then it was a pretty wild one. He also decided to make a lame joke about his movie at the time, The Hollars (which seems to be the subject of the Q&A) being so hot that it caused the issue. (Bad joke, maybe? But still very amusing.)

The Hollars is another film that Krasinski directed (although Time notes it was not his first, as that was in 2009 with Brief Interviews With Hideous Men). He also acted in it, which seems to be a bit of a trend when it comes to the movies Krasinski directs, but this is important for the actor. Perhaps that's because he believes they are somehow linked, as he told Time, "As an actor and a director, you’re looking for the same thing. You’re looking to be moved..."

4 He's Like All Of Us With His Love Of Pizza

One of John Krasinski's most relatable tweets was probably this one because it showed his love of pizza, but more than that, it also proved that he is a particularly funny man.

In 2016, he wanted to cast his vote for the best pizza place in the world, which he claims is Robert's Pizza in Brooklyn, but if you were hoping to see how amazing these pizzas looked, then you may be disappointed.

This is the only photo Krasinski has of a pizza from his favorite restaurant, and perhaps that's a good sign because he couldn't even wait to get the perfect shot.

Krasinski may like his food, but his film, A Quiet Place, posed a bit of a problem for those who like to eat snacks during films. Since the movie is mostly silent with a lot of suspense, it makes crunching popcorn, scratching in sweet packets, and sipping out the last remnants of cola a little awkward. Actually, this problem has even been the subject of a number of articles, which round up a number of tweets from people who had received glares when they dared to dig into their popcorn during an intense part of the film.

3 He Really Values Those Who Have Serviced The U.S.

John Krasinski often takes the time to appreciate the Armed Forces and is vocal about his support and thanks for all they do for the United States. But what a lot of people probably don't know is that he comes from a military family.

Krasinski took a step away from comedy for a serious role as a soldier in the film 13 Hours; which is the true story of six soldiers who fought in Benghazi. It was a film that was close to the actor's heart. He told Fox4, "I've always wanted to do something like this. I'm actually from a big military family, which I'm really proud of."

The role was one that surprised a lot of people, and Krasinski admitted to USA Today that he was told director Michael Bay may not even watch his audition tape. But that didn't stop him from sending it. He confessed, “The likelihood of me getting the role then was very low. [Bay] was talking about other actors from the beginning. I heard that when my name was brought up to certain people higher up, they thought it was interesting, but not necessarily the right thing." But Bay must have seen something he liked because Krasinski ended up with the role of Jack Silva.

2 Proud Papa Has The Best Things To Say

John Krasinski has revealed that he has a lot of love and admiration for Emily Blunt, and he has made this obvious in interviews. Blunt feels the same way and told InStyle magazine, "Meeting John really changed my life. When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible. There's someone behind you on your good days, and someone in front of you on your bad days."

In addition to having a whole lot of love for each other, the couple are also doting parents to their two daughters, Hazel, and the younger of the two, Violet — who happens to be the subject of this tweet.

After Violet was born in June of 2016, Krasinski decided to make a special mention of how their little family had expanded, and he gushed about his "beautiful daughter Violet." Actually, the couple's love for their children helped make their performances in A Quiet Place more authentic, and Krasinski touched on the anxiety they feel every day as parents, during an interview with People magazine. He said, “Even when [we] drop our 4-year-old daughter off at school, you don’t know what she’s gonna do that day. You don’t know if other kids are gonna be nice to her or if she [will get] in trouble for something. You just want to protect them at all costs."

1 His Reaction To Being Cast In A Movie Is Adorable

Right now, John Krasinski is really at the top of his game, but that doesn't mean he's over being cast in new movies. Actually, as this tweet proves, he gets really excited about the prospect, especially if that's an offer to work with director Edgar Wright, who is responsible for films like the crime thriller Baby Driver, and The World's End.

Wright tweeted asking if Krasinski was going to be in his new movie, and this is what the actor had to say: "HELL yes!" That is unless Wright was kidding about the latest project in which case Krasinski would be very, very disappointed. But tweets from director to actor (and also fellow director) aside, what is this mystery project that Wright could be referring to?

His last film Baby Driver, which was released in 2017, proved to be a success, and in an interview with CNET, he confessed that he has a new project he's working on. A particularly secret one, and one he is reluctant to share even minor details about. When asked if he would be interested in making a Star Wars film, Wright responded by saying “I guess so, yeah. Yeah. I have something crazy, but I can’t tell you.” And when pressed for further comment, he really didn't reveal any more.
