Many things have changed in this competition but one thing has remained the same: The seriously weird names that people have given their dogs.

While in competition, a dog will go by their registered name which is usually long and... well, weird. Each part of the name has a significance, but put together, it ends up being really strange. For example, take "Ag Ch Bellview Foxylady": Ag Ch is the abbreviation for "agility champion",  Bellview is the name of the breeder's kennel, and Foxylady is the chosen name of the dog. Smash it all together, and the outcome can sound really strange. Luckily for these dogs, they don't go by these names on an everyday basis. They will either go by their chosen name or a pet name.

10 Nedlo Flipping Shiny Pebble

via: petolog

1st in the Kennel Club Novice Club (Large) Jumping Round 1.

Tell me that doesn't sound like a song that a leprechaun would sing while skipping down a dirt road.

9 Mendipstar Coy Oaty Snuggly

via: leewindeatt.co.uk

3rd place in the Kennel Club Novice Club (Large) Jumping Round 1.

Okay, he does look pretty snuggly, I'll give him that. But Oaty Snuggly? What? Oh, and has anyone else noticed the creeper dog hiding in the bushes?

8 Devongem Rehab Sproglett

3rd place in the Kennel Club British Open (Large) Jumping Round 1.

Devongem is kind of cute but WTF is a "rehab sproglett"?

7 Ag Ch Obay Tiz Wild Aw(g)

via: wingate-wynne

3rd place in the Kennel Club British Open (Medium) Jumping Round 1.

God, I'd hate to be the person who announces these names at a show.

6 Scuntthorpe Hustlers

The winner of the Agility Relay - Crufts Team - Large round.

Quirky names are definitely not reserved for individual dogs – even team names can get pretty out of hand! Apparently Scuntthorpe is a place. But my question is this: why name your team after something that sounds like an STD?

5 Secret Mystery Mission Impossible

via: contactmusic

3rd place in the Young Kennel Club Agility Dog of the Year - Medium (Over 12).

Did the Mission Impossible theme song start playing in your head too?

4 Sundach Swirling Scene

via: contatmusic

1st place in the Young Kennel Club Agility Dog of the Year - Large (Over 12) round.

The only swirling scene that I can think of is from Orange is The New Black. "Chocolate and vanilla, sw-irrrl, sw-irrrl."

3 Harriot Skiffle King

1st place in the Freestyle To Music round.

All hail the Skiffle King!

2 Turboed Widewater Wizard

10th place in the Kennel Club British Open (Large) Jumping Round 1.

"Yer a wizard, Turbo."

1 Za Zar Zoom AW(G)

via: wildpawsagility

4th place in the Kennel Club British Open (Medium) Jumping Round 1.
