No matter who we are and what we do for a living, there's always a chance that we're going to lose our job. While we may think of it as pretty impossible when it comes to the people at the top, but it would seem that nobody is safe when it comes to what may happen with their job.
We decided to take a look at the various actors throughout the past who have found themselves losing their jobs for one reason or another, This can range all the way from someone making a mistake, to a director deciding that maybe they weren't the right choice for the role at the last minute.
If anyone out there is worried or sad about losing their job, this is the list they want to be reading. There is nobody out there that can't be fired from their job, and this list of actors is here to prove it!
15 Julianne Moore - Can You Ever Forgive Me?
While the original director of the project has tried to keep quiet about why Moore was fired from the movie, Moore has claimed that she believes that her particular vision for the character wasn't wanted by anyone else. The job of a director is to work with an actor in a situation like that, not cut them loose!
14 Janet Hubert - The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air
This is one of the most famous stories of an actor being removed from a project. Unlike many of the other stories on this list, the actors involved have always been open about why Hubert was fired. She famously did not get along with Will Smith, so the people in charge decided to get in someone else to play Aunt Viv.
13 Anne Hathaway - Knocked Up
Anyone that has seen Knocked Up will know that there is a pretty graphic shot at one point, one that we won't go into. When Hathaway was fired from Knocked Up, many believed it was because she refused to shoot the scene. She has since claimed that it was she didn't feel comfortable acting as a pregnant woman while having never been one.
12 Charlie Sheen - Two And A Half Men
After a very public breakdown fueled by all sorts of substances, it was clear that Sheen would have to be removed from his spot in Two And A Half Men. After spouting off about how much he hated the creator of the show, the two of them started to swap barbs until he was finally written out.
11 Megan Fox - Transformers: Dark Of The Moon
Everyone out there will know that the easiest way to get fired from a job is to insult their boss, which is exactly what Fox decided to do. She claimed that Michael Bay was a terrible director to work for, so he promptly fired her so that she didn't have to worry about it anymore...
10 Christian Bale - American Psycho
Despite the fact that Bale did get his chance to show how well he could play a psychotic businessman, he was actually fired when Leonardo DiCaprio became available for the role. When the actor decided he wasn't interested, Bale was picked back up, and he managed to knock it out of the park.
9 Shannen Doherty - Beverly Hills, 90210
Let's not pretend that, if any of us decided to start a fight in our place of work, we wouldn't immediately be fired, which is why it makes sense that Doherty ended up being fired from Beverly Hills, 90210. She became well known for getting physical while on the set of the show...
8 Selma Blair - Anger Management
Charlie Sheen has become known for his outbursts and unprofessional behavior, so it's no surprise that he used to hold up the filming of Anger Management by learning his lines in his dressing room. When Blair complained about this, she was fired from the show, and she refuses to believe that the two aren't connected.
7 Isaiah Washington - Grey's Anatomy
It's important that everyone works towards ensuring that a workplace is comfortable for anybody that happens to work there. When Washington used a slur when referring to one of the other actors on Grey's Anatomy, he was quite rightly written out of the show and fired.
6 Suzanne Somers - Three's Company
While a lot of other actors on this list were asking to be fired, we don't think this woman actually did anything wrong. While working on Three's Company, she demanded that she was paid the same as the leading man, which the studio refused to do and proceeded to fire her.
5 Ryan Gosling - The Lovely Bones
Some actors are known for taking it a little too far, which is exactly what happened with Gosling on The Lovely Bones. The director ended up firing the actor after he turned up to film having put on 60 pounds in weight, even though he hadn't been asked to, purely because of how he saw the character.
4 Taylor Momsen - Gossip Girl
Taking up many of the characteristics of her character from Gossip Girl, Momsen was becoming increasingly unreliable to work with, other colleagues claiming that her behavior was erratic towards the end of her time on the show. It was no surprise that she ended up being fired.
3 Thomas Gibson - Criminal Minds
Creating a movie or a television show is all about working as a team, but that is clearly not something that producer Virgil Williams was aware of. Gibson had come to him to complain about a specific line in one of the episodes of Criminal Minds. This led to Gibson being fired...
2 Columbus Short - Scandal
There are some people out there that believe our professional and personal lives should be kept separate, but this man was quite rightly fired from Scandal due to the things he was accused of. It's good to know that some people will be forced to take responsibility for their actions.
1 Holly Hunter - Chicken Little
When Chicken Little was first picked up, it was first agreed that the main character would be a woman. However, after finally recording all of the lines, Hunter was told that none of her lines would be used and that she would be no longer needed as they were going for a male character instead.
