90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? couple Andrei and Libby had an uncomfortable conversation ahead of their second wedding ceremony.

The couple is in Moldova to renew their wedding vows in Andrei’s native country, surrounded by their family and friends, but a recent revelation threatened to shake their bond.

Andrei Speaks Up About His Past

Andrei and Libby met in Ireland while she was travelling, and he was working as a bouncer and became inseparable, going long-distance and then finally coronating their romance in a first wedding, celebrated in Florida in 2017. The pair then welcomed their first child, baby Eleanor, in 2019.

Before working as a bouncer overseas, Andrei had gone for a career in law enforcement in Moldova but never opened up to Libby about how dangerous such a professional choice could get.

In the sneak peek of a new episode of the TLC spinoff following 90 Day Fiancé couples after they’ve tied the knot, Andrei revealed something that caught Libby by surprise.

The Moldovan admitted he was asked by his seniors to protect powerful people and help prevent them from going to jail.

“They asked me to do some stuff. I didn’t do it, I refused to do it,” Andrei told Libby the night before the wedding.

Andrei also explained this is part of the reasons why he left his job and, consequently, Moldova. He added that if he hadn’t left, corrupt officers would have set him up, and he would have lost everything.

“Not only my job, I would have lost my f***ing life,” he said.

“When I was working in the law enforcement, you actually had to do things… like things that are not actually legal, because somebody asked you to do it, [somebody] who have connections,” Andrei told producers in his confessional.

“It’s like a mob. I did what I had to do,” he continued.

He then said he managed to escape that situation.

“I just did the right thing for me at the time,” he said.

Libby was scared and disappointed Andrei never mustered the courage to speak up about this with her. He reassured his wife that he doesn’t have any ties to corrupt officers at present and the situation in Moldova is okay for him.

“You could’ve just told me that from the beginning,” Libby told Andrei.

“We’re getting married tomorrow and I feel like I didn’t even know my husband,” she added.

Andrei apologized for not telling Libby sooner, but said he decided to keep this from her not to lose her. They promised to tell each other everything going forward.
