Whether we like to admit it or not, most of our famous actors and actress do the bare minimum while making a movie —they learn their lines and they're done. However, not all of them are like that, some of them actually like to test their limits and try other things, such as doing their own stunts themselves, instead of using a body double.

Jason Statham is mostly known for his action-packed movies such as The Transporter and The Mechanic. And while he usually does have a stunt double on set, he is not a stranger to doing the stunts on his own sometimes.

“When you do a small movie… I did 'The Transporter,' they couldn't afford a stunt double, I did almost every little piece that I could do,” said the famous actor in an interview with Extra.

8 Tom Holland

Apart from being great at dancing and acting, it seems like Tom Holland could also work as a stunt person. The young actor was spotted doing his own stunts while filming Spider-Man 3 in Atlanta. This isn't the first time Holland is doing stunts himself — he's also done it in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

7 Elizabeth Olsen

Even though almost all Marvel actors have stunt doubles on set, some of them don't actually use them. One of them is Elizabeth Olsen, who is most known for starring as Wanda Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Elizabeth Olsen shared some of her stunts fails.

“Yeah, I think it was the big run with all the women where we’re helping Marvel bring the gauntlet … to the front … and I landed in the scene on wires and I lost my balance and I fell backward and got totally slammed in the back of the head by the stunt person who was running.” said the Wandavision actress.

6 Angelina Jolie

Back in 2009, while filming Salt — a movie about a CIA agent, who is accused of being a Russian sleeper agent — Angelina Jolie was doing stunts herself. Unfortunately, the actress ended up in a hospital after sustaining an injury while filming a scene — she collided with a TV monitor while she was running at full speed. Not to worry though, she recovered soon and went back on set.

Another actor who is not afraid of some extra running, jumping or hanging is Josh Hutcherson. Not only did he did stunts himself in The Hunger Games franchise, but he also "jumped from roof to roof" on the set of his 2012 movie Red Dawn. In addition to that, the famous actor appeared in DJ Snake's music video for "Middle", and guess what — he did the stunts himself again.

If you've seen Disney's new live-action adaptation of Mulan, then you already know that the movie is packed with action and stunts of all kinds. But here's the thing — actress Liu Yifei, who plays the titular character, did most of her stunts on her own, even though there was a stunt person on set. According to Mulan cinematographer Mandy Walker, she trained a lot for the movie. She did sword fighting, martial arts, horse riding, and battle scenes herself.

Another actress who is not afraid to go the extra mile when it comes to her work is Kristen Stewart. Her 2019 movie Charlie's Angels required a lot of stunts due to many action scenes and Kristen did many on her own, according to the movie's director, Elizabeth Banks.

2 Jackie Chan

Somebody who definitely has to be on this list is, of course, the legendary Jackie Chan. Throughout his career, Chan has frequently performed stunts himself, which resulted in numerous injuries. He has sustained many injuries in his career, including fracturing his skull, breaking his fingers, toes, hips, ribs, and neck. But thankfully, he's still alive and kicking!

1 Cameron Diaz

If you've seen her movies Charlie's Angels and Knight and Day, then you know that Cameron Diaz is no stranger to action-packed movies. And just like her colleagues from this list, she also likes to do stunts herself sometimes. In other to do fighting scenes in Charlie's Angels, she had to train eight hours a day, five days a week, for three months, according to IMDb. And for Knight and Day, she didn't need a stunt double to do her driving stunts.
