2008 was the year that everything changed! The very first Twilight movie was released and people everywhere fell head over heels in love with the story. The passionate love triangle between Bella Swan, Edward Cullen, and Jacob Black was enough to make everyone feel totally attached to the group of main characters and all of the things that they had to go through together.
Kristen Stewart is the actress who played the role of Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson is the actor who played the role of Edward Cullen, and Taylor Lautner is the actor who played the role of Jacob Black. They brought an incredible story to life for the world to see and fans as a whole are still greatly appreciative of it! Although fans are mostly happy with the way the Twilight movies turned out, there are still a few changes that fans wished for and hoped for while the movies were still being created.
15 Bella Should Have Chosen Jacob Instead Of Edward
One of the biggest things that Twilight fans wished for the saga is that Bella had chosen Jacob instead of Edward. If she had chosen Jacob, she would’ve been able to maintain her human form and she would’ve been able to age normally alongside Jacob. He was able to keep her warm when she was cold. They should have ended up together!
14 Jacob Should Have Never Imprinted On Renesmee
Jacob should have never imprinted on Renesmee. Fans of the saga were super creeped out by this and everyone thought it was very weird. At the end of the day, we know that werewolves are not able to choose who they imprint on, but the idea of Jacob imprinting on Edward and Bella’s infant daughter should’ve been completely left out of the storyline.
13 Alice Cullen's Vampire Origin Story Should Have Been Shown
Alice's backstory should have been shown in the movie. According to the books, she was turned into a vampire while being stuck in a mental asylum. She was forced to live in a mental asylum because she was having psychic visions as a human being. We never got to see a flashback of her origin story.
12 Bella Should Have Given Birth To Twins
Bella Swan gave birth to her daughter, Renesmee, but a lot of Twilight fans wished that she had given birth to twins instead! It would have been really interesting to see her have two children instead of one. Bella nearly died during childbirth because the pregnancy was so difficult for her to get through so she might as well have had twins.
11 The Vampires Should Have Revealed That They Are Actually Fairies
A lot of fans of the Twilight saga entertained the idea that the vampires in Twilight were actually fairies due to the fact that they sparkle in the sunlight and do not grow fangs when they are about to feed. This is an interesting theory and it would have been surprising if the vampires revealed that they were actually fairies somewhere in the story.
10 Witches, Mermaids, And Other Mythical Beings Should Have Been Introduced At Some Point
Twilight already includes werewolves and vampires so it would’ve been pretty amazing if other mythical beings were introduced into the movies as well. Other mythical beings like witches, mermaids, unicorns, dragons, leprechauns, centaurs, trolls, and more could have added to the story in a very exciting way.
9 Carlisle Cullen Should Not Have Lost His Head In The Final Battle
Carlisle Cullen lost his head in the final battle when Aro snatched it in the sky. This was very upsetting to Twilight fans across the board. Everyone wanted to see Carlisle Cullen survive because he was one of the most important characters in the story. He was Edward Cullen's father figure.
8 Bella Swan Should Have Spent More Time With Her Mom, Renee Dwyer
Bella Swan should’ve spent way more time with her mother, Renee Dwyer. It is pretty sad that after she moved away from her mother's house in Arizona, she didn’t really see her mom again, other than at the wedding and the time that she decided to visit her mom before turning into a vampire.
7 Rosalie Should Have Accepted Bella From The Start
Rosalie Hale did not like Bella Swan at first, and she made that very obvious! She was super cold and super unapproachable. She wasn’t someone that anyone would want to be around. Fans believe that Rosalie should’ve been accepting and loving from the very beginning, like the rest of the Cullen family was.
6 Vampires And Werewolves Should Have Been Made Known To Human Beings
Vampire and werewolf existence should have been made known to human beings at some point in the saga. Human beings were constantly left in the dark the entire time but it would’ve been cool to see how they would react to finding out that vampires and werewolves were living amongst them in regular day-to-day life.
5 Jessica Stanley Should Have Ended Up With Mike Newton
Jessica Stanley was always slightly jealous of Bella Swan, as soon as Bella moved to town. Jessica clearly had a crush on Mike Newton but Mike had a crush on Bella. Bella had no interest in Mike and she obviously ended up with Edward anyway. Jessica should have been able to end up with Mike Newton!
4 Bella's Parents Should Have Spoken Up More About Bella And Edward's High School Wedding
Bella’s parents didn’t really speak up about the fact that Bella was choosing to get married to Edward at such a young age. In real life, the parents of a teenage girl would have much more to say about the fact that their daughter was choosing to get married so young! Her parents didn’t really say much about it.
3 Jacob Should Have Kept His Long Hair
Twilight fans across-the-board agree that Jacob should’ve been able to keep his long hair! It was a major part of who he was in the first movie. When he chopped all of his hair off, he did look very handsome still, but a lot of fans missed what he looked like when he had his long hair! He should have been able to keep it the entire time.
2 Emmett Cullen's Vampire Origin Story Should Have Been Shown
According to the books, Emmett Cullen's vampire origin story began when he was mauled by a bear. He was turned into a vampire in order to survive. We never got to see a flashback of his story and that is unfortunate. He was a pivotal part of the Twilight Saga and we missed out on his vampire history.

Losing Jasper Hale in the final battle is probably the worst thing that happened in the entire Twilight Saga! It was super disappointing to see Jasper lose his head in Breaking Dawn Part 2. Fans everywhere felt the same way that Alice Cullen felt… Disappointed and heartbroken.
