Reese Witherspoon has been crushing the game since her debut back in the 90s, however, the actress claims that she would find herself in a constant battle of self-hatred if she watched her own movies. Not only does she not watch her films, but she sometimes doesn't remember the ones she's appeared in!

Megan Fox has appeared in a plethora of film and television shows including Hope & Faith, Transformers, and Jennifer's Body, to name a few, however, you won't catch her watching any of her movies!

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Megan revealed that she's seen some clips of her work and cringes every time! "I just got sick to my stomach ... ugh, kill me!" she jokingly said after the interviewer showed her a movie scene of herself. "Why are you doing this to me?" the actress questioned, proving that she really isn't a fan of seeing herself on-screen.

6 Nicole Kidman

In 2009, Nicole Kidman revealed that of all the incredible movies that she has starred in, the only ones that she's actually seen are Moulin Rouge! and Austalia. According to the Daily Mail, Nicole said she "squirmed" in her seat throughout the whole thing, making it clear that she would never do it again!

5 Zac Efron

Zac Efron first debuted back in 2006 when the hit Disney movie High School Musical came about. Since then, the actor has been in hit films such as 17 Again, Charlie St. Cloud, and The Greatest Showman, to name a few, however, he is not a fan of watching himself!

The actor revealed that the reason behind his choice to not watch his own movies is purely out of fear that he will become too critical of himself. Additionally, Zac has made his stance on Hollywood very clear, claiming during his Netflix series, Down To Earth With Zac Efron, that he wants to separate himself from that environment.

While he's been in just about everything, Hanks doesn't think it's a good idea for any actor to watch themselves other than to improve on their work. "Because you never learn what to do. You only sort of learn what not to do. The thing about looking at the old movies is that they don't change," he explained.

3 Emma Stone

Emma Stone is easily one of the most loved actresses in the industry, and rightfully so! The star has appeared in hit films such as Easy A, The Help, and La La Land, which scored the actress her very first Oscar win!

Well, despite her success in the film industry, Emma has never seen many of her hit films, including Easy A, the film that catapulted her career. While she has no problem seeing herself on-screen, she finds it quite narcissistic. "Who wants to watch themselves for that long?" Emma told People magazine, and she's got a point!

2 Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore is without a doubt Hollywood royalty, however, you won't find this icon watching any of her own films! The actress made it clear that her passion is filmmaking, not watching, especially if she's the lead.

In 2013, the actress spoke with Britain's Daily Express where she said, "I haven't seen any of my own movies," Moore said. "I can't sit there for a premiere or anything. I like being in the movie more than I like watching them. That's my big thrill, rather than seeing the finished product."

1 Jared Leto

Jared Leto is yet another Oscar-winning actor who doesn't dare look back at any of his old flicks. The star spoke with SyFy Wire back in 2017 that although he enjoys seeing moments of himself here and there, you won't ever watch him sitting through an entire film of his own.

"I just think with watching your own films, it can be too self-conscious of a process. You either like what you did and you're prone to repeat it, or you didn't like it, and it can make you self-conscious. I'm not sure how much win there is for me." In addition to the toll it takes on your self-esteem, Leto also made it clear that it's pointless to watch his own movies as he already knows how it ends.
