Disney and Pixar's animated films have thousands of characters. These characters are beloved for their looks, stories, and their voices. For every Disney and Pixar character out there, there is an actor sitting in a sound booth recording their beloved voices.

For some, voice acting is a dream job. For others, it's a gig that pays the bills. But for these actors, voicing characters for Disney and Pixar is a once in a lifetime opportunity. 15 John Ratzenberger Has Voiced A Character In Every Pixar Movie 

John Ratzenberger is an all-star when it comes to voicing Pixar characters. He first joined the Pixar Voice Actors club when he was cast as Hamm in Toy Story and since then he's voiced a character in every Pixar movie since. Some of his credits most notable roles include P.T. Flea (A Bug's Life)Yeti (Monsters Inc), and Mack (Cars).

14 John Goodman Has Voiced 2 Disney Characters And Sully From Monsters Inc

John Goodman first joined the Disney voice acting club when he brought Pacha to life in The Emperor's New Groove. One year later and John Goodman landed his most iconic voice acting role when he was cast as Sully in Pixar's Monster Inc. Goodman also lent his voice to the Jungle Book 2 voicing Baloo and The Princess and The Frog voicing Big Daddy.

13 Idris Elba Has Voiced A Seal Lion and A Police Cheif

Not only is Idris Elba an A-list actor and People's Sexiest Man Alive, but he's also lent his voice to the Disney and Pixar animated worlds. His first role with the company was voicing Chief Bogo in Zootopia. He did such an amazing job that he was brought back to voice Shere Khan in the live-action Jungle Book and later, Fluke in Finding Dory. 

12 Julia Louis-Dreyfus Has Voiced An Ant And A Troll 

Some people claim Julia Louis-Dreyfus's most iconic role was Elaine from Seinfeld, others argue it's Selina Meyer from Veep, but Pixar fans will tell you her most iconic role is when she voiced Atta in A Bug's Life. Dreyfus also lent her voice to Disney's Plane movie. It's been a while since Dreyfus has been in a Pixar sound booth, but she's finally making her return voicing Laurel Lightfoot in Pixar's upcoming film Onward.

11 Jeff Garlin Has Voiced A Captain And A Unicorn

Jeff Garlin joined the Pixar Voice Acting club by landing one of the only speaking roles in WALL-E, Captain B. McCrea. Pixar loved working with him so much that they cast him to voice Buttercup in Toy Story 3 a few years later. Garlin also made a voice appearance in Cars 2 as Otis, a truck that is always broken down in Radiator Springs.

10 Jodi Benson Is Best Known For Voicing A Princess But She's Also A Barbie Doll

Jodi Benson is best known for lending her to the underwater princess Ariel. Not only was she the speaking voice of Ariel, but she also was Ariel's singing voice too. Benson continues to voice Ariel whenever she appears on screen. Benson's other Disney credits include Helen of Troy in the Hercules TV Series, Lady in the Lady And The Tramp sequel, and Anita in the direct-to-film 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure. Benson also is part of the Pixar club too since she voices Barbie for the Toy Story franchise.

9 Alan Tudyk Has Voiced Several Different Characters Including King Candy

Alan Tudyk has a pretty eclectic filmography but he joined the Disney voice acting club when he voiced King Candy in Wreck-It-Ralph. The role not only opened the doors to more Disney/Pixar films, but it also earned him an Annie Award. Tudyk continued on with Disney voicing the Duke of Weselton in Frozen, Alistair Krei in Big Hero 6, and Heihei in Moana just to name a few.

8 Emma Thompson Has Voiced A Captain And A Queen

Emma Thompson is a two-time Academy Award winner, two-time Golden Globe winner, and an Emmy winner. She's had an incredible career bringing to life several iconic characters, including some Disney and Pixar ones. Her credits include Captain Amelia (Treasure Planet) and Queen Elinor (Brave).

7 Joan Cusack Has Voiced A Toy And A Duck

Joan Cusack had no voice acting experience before landing the iconic role of Jessie in Toy Story 2. Jessie is a beloved Toy Story character and has a special place in Cusack's heart who continues to voice her to this day. Cusack's other Disney/Pixar credits include Mallard in Chicken Little and a Mission Control Elf in Arthur Christmas. 

6 Mindy Kaling Has Voiced An Emotion And A Mean Girl

Mindy Kaling got her start as a Kelly Kapoor on The Office but since then she's been a part of several amazing projects. Kaling joined the Disney voice acting club when she was cast as Taffyta Muttonfudge in Wreck-it-Ralph. Three years later she returned to the sound booth to voice Disgust in Pixar's Inside Out. 

5 Wayne Knight Has Voiced A Pottery Salesman, A Toy Collector, And An Elephant

Wayne Knight is best known for his role of Newman on Seinfeld, but this comedian has also lent his voice to some of our favorite Disney and Pixar characters. Starting in 1997, Knight voiced Demetrius the Pot Maker in Hercules. From there he went on to voice Tantor in Tarzan and most notably Al McWhiggin in Toy Story 2. 

4 Octavia Spencer Has Voiced An Otter And A Manticore

Octavia Spencer has broken down a lot of barriers in the film industry for African American women and has earned several awards for her acting skills. In 2016, Spencer made the leap into voice acting when she was cast as Mrs. Otterton in Disney's Zootopia. This month she will make her Pixar debut as Corey in Onward.

3 Brad Garrett Has Lent His Voice To Four Different Disney And Pixar Films

Brad Garrett is best known for playing Robert Barone in Everyone Loves Raymond. Garrett's first major role for Disney and Pixar came when he was cast as Dim, the rhinoceros beetle in Pixar's A Bug's Life. Since then he's voiced Gusteau in Ratatouille, Bloat in Finding Dory, and even lent his voice to Eeyore in Christopher Robin and Wreck-it-Ralph 2 amongst other roles.

2 Lea Salonga Has Sang For Two Different Disney Princesses

Lea Salonga has had an amazing career in the Broadway world but she's probably most famous for lending her voice to two Disney Princesses. Salonga provided the singing voices for both Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and Mulan in Mulan. She continues to sing for the animated Jasmine and Mulan whenever they are needed.

1 Richard Kind Voiced An Iconic Imaginary Friend And A Bug

Richard Kind has had several iconic roles in his career, some of which are animated characters in Disney and Pixar films. His first venture with Pixar was in 1998 when he voiced Molt in A Bug's Life. He was hooked from then on and has since voiced Van in Cars, Bookworm in Toy Story 3, and our favorite imaginary friend Bing Bong in Inside Out.
