In a lot of ways, movie stars have truly ridiculous jobs. After all, professional actors make their living pretending to be someone else which is the kind of thing that children do for fun. On top of that, the biggest movie stars make so much more money than the vast majority of other people that it is hard to overstate how different their lifestyles are from regular folks.

Despite the fact that celebrities get to enjoy the high life and many of them are worshipped by the masses, at the end of the day they are human beings just like the rest of us. For proof of that, all you have to do is look at the fact that so many stars have come close to losing their lives at one point or another. In fact, some major actors almost met their untimely demise while on set. That is simply incredible since there are so many people who dedicate their time and effort to keeping actors safe on set.

Throughout Adam Sandler’s career, the vast majority of the projects he has been a part of were designed to make the masses laugh. However, that doesn’t mean that every aspect of Sandler’s life is a laughing matter. For example, Sandler once came shockingly close to losing his life in a pretty grisly way.

Sandler’s Connections

In Hollywood, there are many examples of celebrities who once were known to be pals only to later become enemies. Of course, it is perfectly normal for people who once were close to suddenly have a falling out for one reason or another. On the other hand, since celebrities jump through so many hoops to make it big, it is easy to imagine some supposed celebrity friendships solely being an exercise in career advancement.

When it comes to Adam Sandler, it is very clear that the friendships he has built with a lot of other famous actors were genuine. After all, Sandler has gone out of his way to work with his closest actor friends over and over again throughout the years, and from all accounts, he is an extremely loyal guy. On top of hiss buddies, Sandler has two daughters and it happily married, and based on the way that Adam lights up when talking about his family, he absolutely adores them. With all of that in mind, it would have been a tragedy if all of those people had been forced to mourn Sandler’s passing if he wasn’t able to escape the danger he was once in.

First, Adam Sandler began to describe getting the chance to interact with a live animal while on vacation in Africa. "This is a true story ... there were very nice people at this place, and let me in with the cheetah and the owner said I could feed the cheetah water with my hands. So I did it, and something went a little bit wrong,” From there, Sandler went on to explain why he was to blame for the incident.

"What happened was, they said you were not supposed to bend that low with water. I was very nervous. It was fast. ... I had a stiff neck at the time, so when he jumped on me, I was like, 'Oh, my neck.' ... And when he jumped on me, all I was going to let him do was eat me. I wasn't going to fight back!"

Based on the footage of the cheetah jumping on Adam Sandler’s back, some people may conclude that he never was in any serious danger. After all, there was someone there to protect Sandler and they were able to get the animal off his back almost instantly after it landed on top of the actor. However, when you really think about it, Sandler easily could have lost his life in that short window of time. After all, cheetahs routinely use their lightning-fast reflexes and sharp teeth to take down animals that can outrun any human beings on the planet when they are moving at full speed. With that in mind, is there any question that Sandler who was bent over on one knee when the cheetah landed on him could have suffered a lethal injury?
