Adele really does come when we need her most.

After weeks of fan rumors, mysterious 30's appearing all over the globe, and a social media rebrand, Adele has finally confirmed what fans have long been expecting. New music is on the way! The "Hello" singer finally posted a short clip on her social media accounts on Tuesday morning, announcing her new song "Easy On Me," which has a release date of October 15.

The video teaser shows the singer inserting a cassette tape into a car's tape playe. She is shown driving down a country road as sheets of music fly out the windows. Is this why it's taken so long for new music? Did she lose it all on the highway?

While Adele drives, her car tows a trailer behind, seemingly filled with furniture and other memorabilia indicative of, perhaps, her marriage? Is Adele fleeing the marital household? This is her first release post-divorce after all.

And as the air turns cold and the leaves turn brown, and the clouds come out and the sun goes down, Adele could not have come at a more fitting time to ease this transition period between summer and winter, enveloping fans with her warm vocals as they fight that beast that comes once a year: Seasonal depression.

Although it seems that Twitter can't seem to decide if Adele is here to cure them of their seasonal depression, or to be the genesis of it. One conflicted fan summed it rather well, writing "just when I was feeling optimistic that I won’t fall victim to seasonal depression this year, Adele is planning to release a new album."

While "Easy On Me" will arrive October 15, there is no word yet on when the album, presumably titled 30, will follow. When it does arrive, the album will end a six-year drought since her last full release 25 debuted atop the charts in 2015.

And while Adele's fans are celebrating, unfortunately, the same can't be said for Rihanna's, as Adele leaves her behind in the "no-album" club.

Adele joins Taylor Swift this fall, who is either patching or tearing at our autumnal wounds this year with the rerelease of her Red album, now coming November 12. Red, the sonic representation of The Fall, bringer of scarves and maple lattes, has long been considered the ultimate "fall album" with its plaid shirt days and autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place.

With two of the music industry's biggest stars about to rule the charts, let's hope the new music isn't too sad, or this season of depression might have us wishing we were back with Rihanna in the "no-album" club.

"Easy On Me" drops October 15, but something tells us Adele isn't going to go easy on us with this one. Make sure you've got that box of Kleenex ready.
