The Internet loves an adorable cat, so it’s no surprise that one kitty has gone viral after people began noticing its unique facial markings.
The kitty, who’s named Daisy, gained attention thanks to a post by The Mini Kitty Commune, who was advertising the ragdoll cat for adoption. “Some say she has unfortunate facial markings but we call it totally unique,” the Facebook post read. “Daisy is 9 years old and ready to spend her time snuggling on anything warm and happy to watch the world go by.”
The post then went on to describe the cat’s personality, and from the sounds of it, she’d make a great addition to anyone’s household. “She is very easy going and doesn’t want for much. She loves company of humans but has also been around other cats so will do well after her correct introductions,” the ad continued.
The advertisement was accompanied by an adorable photo of the feline, which showed off her distinctive markings. The kitty is mostly white and grey fur, but she has an, ahem, unique brown shape on the center of her face. Many comments on the post pointed out what her face markings remind them of. It’s hard not to get it out of your mind once you’ve realized it.
The Mini Kitty Commune told Bored Panda that Daisy came to the shelter after her previous owner passed away. “Daisy and her sister were part of an amazing rescue earlier in August,” Derek, an employee for the commune, explained. “We get contacted a lot by people whose parents have passed away and the will/estate didn’t have a provision for their cats.”
“In this instance, the two cats were very lucky that one of the family was able to go back to the house every day and feed them after Grandmother passed away,” he continued. “But as there was 2 of them so it was harder to find a home early… until the photo’s started going up and getting noticed.”
Derek explained that the shelter is prioritizing adopting the sisters together. But luckily, since the funny photos have been making their way around the Internet recently, there’s been a lot of interest in the cats. “We are happy to say that she is in a trial adoption with her sister right now! A wonderful lady called Amy who has been a follower of the MKC for ages took them both in and is giving them the right amount of time and focus to make them a family again” Derek said.
