Trish Stratus, Lita, and Melina have all won multiple championships with WWE, and they proved that female wrestlers can be attractive and be just as skilled as their male counterparts.
With that said, WWE's Women's Division has never been as stacked as it is now in terms of pure talent, and that is because the company has signed and developed women who have real skill in the ring, like Alexa Bliss.
Bliss has been with the company since 2013, and ever since she debuted on the main roster in 2016, she has become a fan favorite because of her look and personality, which is why she is already a 5-time Women's Champion and a 2-time Women's Tag Team Champion.
Not A Fan Of Ring Gear?
Ring gear is an essential part of pro wrestling, and aside from a few pop-culture inspired designs, Alexa's gear has more or less remained the same, but for more than a year now, she has been wrestling with a t-shirt on.
She does wear full gear during important matches, but for the most part, you will see her wearing one of her t-shirts, and this has been going on ever since she had chest augmentation surgery.
The Real Reason For This
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Alexa was asked about this, and she revealed that she wears the t-shirts because she is still somewhat self-conscious about her appearance, which is an issue she has been dealing with since she was a teenager.
She also said that she wears them in order "to promote merch because [she thinks] it’s cute." Her explanation also makes a lot of financial sense seeing as her t-shirts usually sell for around $28 each.
