The actress and singer Elizabeth Gillies got married to the musician Michael Corcoran in an intimate ceremony at a colonial-era farm in New Jersey.

Ariana Grande's childhood friend celebrated her wedding with only ten guests because of the current pandemic. Grande and Gillies met on Broadway and showed their true friendship during the filming of Nickelodeon's acclaimed series Victorious. Although both stars' relationship remains strong, Gillies only could invite the family to her special day.

However, Victorious cast members commented on Gillies's wedding pics with excitement and many heart emojis on Instagram. Regarding the Dynasty actress's love story with her husband, she revealed to Vogue, "I always had a crush on him. But I played it cool".

After six years of dating, the couple decided that it was time to formalize their relationship. During the past years, Gillies traveled every weekend from Atlanta to Los Angeles to see Corcoran. Fortunately, the musician relocated, and they bought a house to live together. After moving, he got down on one knee and proposed to her.

The 27-year-old actress wore a gorgeous vintage wedding gown for the occasion with a cape from Britt Wood Designs. Gillies told Vogue, "I had worn so many spectacular wedding gowns over three years on Dynasty that I always said that I would wear black on my wedding day." After she joked, clarified: "but as I got older, I realized my taste is very classic and simple, so that's what I was looking for."

Her husband is a 47 years old musician who has worked on many popular Nickelodeon shows like Henry Danger, winning a 2020 BMI Cable Television Music Award for his work on this series, according to Ebene Magazine. Gillies' husband also produced songs for Drake & Josh protagonist Drake Bell and created iCarly's theme song Leave It All To Me.

Knowing Corcoran's trajectory is not difficult to guess that both of them met at the time that Gillies was playing the role of the antagonist Jade for Victorious.

The couple initially planned to get married on April 25th of 2020, which –side note- is the birthday of their bulldog Otis. The longer they waited, the more they realized they didn't want a big ceremony and ended up exchanging their vows more intimately. All worked out, and the two are happily married.

Gillies is one of the stars of the TV soap opera Dynasty, which is also streamed by Netflix. For her part, the young talent just married the love of her life while her name only keeps reaching the top in the entertainment industry.

Let's take a look at her career: in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live! Gillies revealed that her first-ever job was playing the British doll for an American Girl Dolls' performance while the kids in the audience would sit there waiting for their parents to buy them the toy. She started her way to fame from a young age. Thanks to a local casting, she appeared on a Virgin Mobile commercial. Gillies is dedicated entirely to her cinematographic career. Her debut on TV was 14 years old after appearing in 3 episodes of The Black Donnellys in 2007. The same year the actress gave her voice to the character of Daphne in the animation Winx Club and got a role in the movie Locker 514.

After that, Gillies interpreted Lucy, one of the main characters of the Broadway musical 13. Later, she appeared in the highly popular series Victorious as Jade West during four seasons. The young audience received the show well and gave a lot of popularity to all cast members. Thanks to the character of Jade, Gillies could start to work even more in other of her passions: music.
