Ladies and gentlemen, make room for the one and only, Anna Wintour! In this world, there can only be one Anna Wintour, although Meryl Streep did an exceptional job at portraying an apparent version of her in The Devil Wears Prada. The intimidating fashion queen, who recently stepped out on the red carpet of the provocative Met Gala, is iconic in many ways.

Although she's not a fashion designer herself, the editor-in-chief of American Vogue since the late 1980s has the last say when it comes to what's hitting the runway. And if you're familiar with the highly regarded lady, you'll already know that she's brutally honest and will tell it like it is. If anything, Wintour is the OG influencer. And since her opinion matters in the fashion world, she's been quite open about the many things she dislikes. So, what style laws does the fashion mogul abide by? Find out below, just in case you cross paths with her in the near future.

6 No Black Everything

The 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada, based on the novel of the same name, tells the story of Lauren Weisberger, who worked as Wintour's assistant - oh, the courage! And while her assistant was running around the office in stilettos to complete all her tasks, there's one thing she had to recall every morning while getting ready: no black!

The September Issue, which fashion mavens anxiously wait to get their hands on every August, was made into a documentary in 2009. It chronicled Wintour's preparation for the biggest fashion publication of the year, and in it, she bluntly stated that she despises the color black. And we quote the Vogue editor, "[I'd never wear] head-to-toe black." She certainly didn't approve of Kim K's all-black Met Gala 'fit!

5 And The Style Law Extends To Children

So, what is it about the color that so many swear by religiously that the fashion guru loathes? She stands for bright colors! Yes, black clothing is classic, but it's not for everyone - it becomes tedious and repetitive. From the Global Chief Content Officer for Condé Nast's point of view, black isn't a color children should be sporting.

To add to the fact that she doesn't approve of a stale all-black outfit, she's also attested to kids never wearing the ominous shade. When it came to Kim K's fam, Wintour couldn't stand their style choices for North West much longer and so, she went ahead and scheduled a fashion intervention. Wintour, who has no filter whatsoever, straight up asked Kim K why she and Kanye were dressing their child completely in black. She even went on to suggest that they brighten up her wardrobe ASAP.

4 Get Rid Of The Nylon

If Anna Wintour speaks, we must listen. There's no denying the fact that the woman who always dons a pair of black shades is tremendously powerful.

Yes, she has a huge influence over how fashionistas worldwide view their wardrobes. Well, now that the fall season is upon us, it's time for a closet refresh while keeping in mind some key advice from the Vogue editor-in-chief herself. Tweed skirt suits are in trend for the autumn season, but Wintour wants you to toss those dreary nylons into the garbage. In an interview with Savannah Guthrie, without hesitation, Wintour stated, "I don't really love nylon." It's a thumbs-down for the fabric. Thank you, next!

3 Logo-Not-Mania

Having worked with fashion houses for over 30 years, there's one trend that Wintour barely has compassion for - the whole logomania frenzy. While she certainly owns thousands of designer pieces, logos of the designer brand plastered all over the item are not her cup of vogue.

When Wintour selects her clothing, she prefers items that can be recycled - and it's not easy to incorporate a piece stamped with an evident logo numerous times in an #ootd. Speaking of Céline and Loewe, she explained their collections were "very fluid, very anti-branding, very discreet, but a new way to look at clothes." That's one other way to subtly say she's not an enthusiast of branded items.

2 A Faux Pas

If you had to ask Anna Wintour one question, what would it be?

Well, the busy editor-in-chief takes time off from her hectic schedule to answer questions on episodes of Go Ask Anna that are streamed on YouTube. When a lady asked her what she thought about leggings, she laughed while saying it's a question she's been asked many times. And as she quickly explained the history of the explosion of the versatile piece, she stated, "I'm sure they'll be back again in another 20 years." However, when someone who works for her reminded her of the pink leggings she sported in 1993, she bluntly said, "well that was a mistake." Read between the lines, ladies!

1 A Thumbs Down For The Fluorescent Look

Her Chanel shades are clearly a part of her, but some things in fashion, like fluorescent activewear, don't deserve a spot on the trend report. As always, Wintour isn't shy to speak her mind, and she made it clear that the whole look is just too much for the eyes.

On Vogue's Snapchat Discover page, Wintour discussed her take on the flashy activewear trend. Speaking of the U.S. Open, she said in the clip, "Don't forget to wear your sunglasses, especially if the male players insist on wearing those ugly fluorescent colors." Now we know why she doesn't leave home without her heavy black iconic sunnies.
