DJ Pauly D's only daughter, Amabella Sophia Markert, came at an unexpected time as a result of a one-night stand in Las Vegas with Amanda Markert.On October 22, 2013, Jersey Shore alum, Paul DelVecchio aka Pauly D, announced that he was the proud father of a baby girl. The reality show star was 33-year when he became a father. Along with the news, he posted the first pic of his daughter, Amabella, saying he was "very excited" to become a daddy and "has always wanted kids."
Proud of His Loud and Funny Daughter
During an interview with In Touch Weekly, DJ Pauly revealed that he shares a special relationship with Amabella. One of the reasons is because she takes after him in the personality department.
When asked about his daughter, the Jersey Shore Family Vacation star replied, "She's just like me!" Amabella hides everyone's phones and things and loves making pranks. The proud father added, "She's funny, and she makes me laugh."
Would DJ Pauly D Ever Let His Daughter Do a TV Dating Show?
DJ Pauly D isn't going to let his daughter be on a show like Double Shot At Love... at least until she's 40. The Revenge Prank star chatted with InTouch and revealed that his daughter had met his girlfriend, Nikki, but even though he met her on reality TV, his daughter will have to find a different way to date.
Regarding his love life, he's now dating Nikki Hall, a contestant on the first season of Double Shot At Love. In addition, Nikki is now part of the cast of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.
How Did Pauly D Get Famous?
DJ Pauly D became the breakaway star of Jersey Shore and coined catchphrases like "cabs are here" and "yeah, buddy." He has 4.5 million Instagram followers and is worth an estimated 20 million dollars.
The oldest cast member, Pauly D, was already pushing 30 when he first appeared on Jersey Shore. Growing up, he had two passions, music and cars, so he turned these into careers, starting out as a DJ for birthday parties and baby showers working with vinyl, while he washed cars at a dealership during the day.
Ten years later, he worked his way up the ladder with both gigs, and he had swapped his soap bucket to become a used car buyer. He'd also become Rhode Island's most popular club DJ.
When he got the call to appear on the Jersey Shore, his initial concern was that he would lose his spot as the local DJ star, but life had bigger plans for him.
Working Hard From a Young Age
Paul DelVecchio was born on July 5, 1980, in Providence, Rhode Island. The son of Donna DiCarlo and Paul D. DelVecchio Sr. The star claims, "I'm 100% Italian… My family's straight from Italy… I take pride in being Italian. I love being Italian. I love the food… I definitely don't represent all Italians, I only represent myself." However, it turns out that his mother's part Brazilian.
He grew up with a sister named Vanessa. His family lived in the Town of Johnston. Paul really loves cars. As proof of it, some of his childhood photos show him posing next to cars or riding around on dirt bikes.
After seeing a car drive by playing loud music, he thought that was the coolest thing ever. So he decided to learn how to make loud music long before he even got his license.
He first started as a DJ at the age of 14, practicing on an Alpine deck with a Zeus Hifonics amp in his bedroom. Paul attended Johnson High School, and at 16, he got his first car, a Toyota Corolla. Although the car wasn't luxurious, he had put in it the best sound system he could afford and was blasting music all over town. His favorite DJ growing up was DJ AM. His next purchase was his first turntable.
Pauly D told Rolling Stone magazine, "I was practicing in my room, and then I got my first party. It was a Sweet 16, and I smashed that party, so everybody wanted me to do their parties after that — all different kinds of things, from birthday parties to baby showers."
He got a second gig at a car dealership where he washed cars on weekends. Following high school, he worked his way up to be in charge of the other washers. Then he got into sales. By his late 20s, he did a pretty good job as a used car buyer.
He first started out working locally, but then he began to travel across the country. He was then promoted to be the manager and had a team of people acquiring cars from all across the world.
Pauly D has always been hardworking and passionate about the things he loves. Amabella is now seven years old, and although they don't live together, he seems to be a caring and affectionate father.
