The couple was spotted kissing at a Los Angeles restaurant in December of that same year.
A source claimed the couple was back together in January 2018, but the reconciliation didn't last long. By February, Elon had ended things with Amber, who cosigned the tech guru's decision.
Is Amber Heard On Twitter After Elon's Take Over?
After their breakup, the exes appeared to be on cordial terms. During the defamation trial, Amber's testimony was mainly positive about Elon. Johnny and his legal team made the most disparaging remarks. Elon musk responded to a tweet about the situation, saying, "I hope they both move on. At their best, they are both incredible."
Amber hasn't commented directly on Elon's recent acquisition of Twitter. The actress made a statement in another way last week, deactivating her Twitter account. After fans noticed the "this account does not exist" pop-up when searching her page. People have speculated that the actress left the platform as a form of protest. Other celebrities such as Gigi Hadid, Shonda Rhimes, Sara Bareilles, and Whoopi Goldberg have also left the platform in opposition to Elon's leadership.
