Johnny Depp and his battle with ex-wife Amber Heard continues to rage on.

The Edward Scissorhands actor has accused Heard of pocketing the massive $7m settlement from their divorce and repeatedly lying about giving it all to charity.

The Aquaman actress declared that she didn't want Depp's money after their 2016 breakup. Instead the 34-year-old vowed to split the payment between two charities.

But Depp's lawyers say this was merely a "sham" and have spent the past year chasing the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union to find out how much they actually received from her.

Depp's lawyers have tried in vain to contact ACLU, but so far they have refused to cooperate.

However documents produced by the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles suggest it only received $100,000 – way short of the promised $3.5m "gift."

DailyMail.com produced letters by bosses at the renowned facility asking Heard in June 2019 "if the pledge would be fulfilled."

Depp's lawyers believe the correspondence proves Heard was lying when she boasted about the giveaway, not only in media interviews but in recent evidence she gave to a London court.

After fans caught wind of Heard's alleged lack of payment, they questioned her character.

"Everyone seems to be missing the point. This is not about him chasing the money. It is about showing her real character. Amber Heard lied in court and to the judge about donating all her money to charity and the judge believed her. Is she can lie about donating money to sick children what else can she easily lie about that the judge believed. Being beaten up? I think Depp should be allowed to appeal," one fan wrote.

"Exactly!!! If she lied so convincingly about the donation in order to garner empathy about what an up-standing character she is then lying under oath about many other aspects of the case would have been just as easy for her," agreed a second.

"Anyone says she has a right to deny sick children money just remember she chose to donate it and said herself she HAD donated it in multiple media articles and on a tv show in the Netherlands," a third chimed in.
