Amber Heard's career and net worth are not in as much jeopardy as some fans would hope.

While they've proved that they'll stop at nothing to drag her career and cancel her once and for all, including petitioning to get her fired from Aquaman 2 (even though it's proved futile) and vowing to boycott the film should she be allowed to stay, she's started a new phase in her life.

So far, 2021 has been an opportunistic year for Heard. She's welcomed her daughter (even though fans think she's using her child to get back into people's good graces), starred in Aquaman 2, and is "re-branding" herself. Not that she's in any sort of financial trouble, at least not as bad as her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

Here's what we know about Heard's net worth following her legal troubles with Depp and now that she started to "re-brand" herself.

Weeks After Her Divorce From Depp, Heard Was Seeking Financial Help

Heard wasn't in a good place financially during her divorce from Depp. A couple of weeks after Heard and Depp's divorce was finalized, their lawyers tried to figure out whether Heard would get spousal support from Depp, which he denied.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Heard filed income and expense documents with the Los Angeles Superior Court, which painted "a dire picture of her financial situation" and explained why she needed Depp to give her $50,000 a month in spousal support.

The Daily Mail obtained documents saying that from January 1 to May 31 of 2016, Heard made almost $27,000 from royalties from her past work on The Cleveland Show and Magic Mike XXL.

This was not enough to pay for the $44,000 monthly expenses she had at the time. Her expenses in 2016 included $10,000 a month for rent; $10,000 a month for entertainment, gifts, and vacations; $2,000 a month for eating out; and $3,000 a month in health costs not covered by insurance. She also spent a combined $10,000 a month for pet supplies and fees for her public relations agent and attorney.

The documents showed she had a history of high income and high expenditures, meaning she was burning just as fast as she was making it. In 2014, her income, which included cash from various projects and promotions, was $250,000, and her expenses totaled $209,000, so she was hardly profiting from her work. The filings also revealed she did have $25,000 in savings and still made residuals from her role in The Rum Diaries.

At the time, the filing did not tell whether Heard's income was damaged from the marriage or the divorce. She did receive $7 million in a settlement when her divorce from Depp was settled, and she allegedly gave that money to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and the ACLU. Now that judges are making the charity reveal if Heard actually gave them the total sum, we'll soon know whether she actually donated the money or pocketed it.

All of Heard's legal expenses couldn't have been cheap either, especially when Depp took Heard back to court for his defamation case. Her spousal support case was later dropped as well. She can't be doing too bad for herself because she's worth about $8 million.

How Is She Re-Branding? And Will It Bring Her More Money?

So far, it doesn't look like Heard's career has been affected by her drama with Depp, who can't say the same, having been fired from many franchises. Producers are saying fan's outcry to get Heard fired from Aquaman 2 was essentially pointless.

She's continuing to get roles too. Most recently, she's appeared on The Stand and has a couple of upcoming appearances in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, of course, and Run Away with Me.

But some people are now under the impression that Heard is using motherhood to get back on the fan's good side. Having a baby now, when she's still going through more drama with Depp, makes her look innocent and motherly. But some are not thwarted by this and say she's just doing it for the publicity. Some people even think that she's using motherhood as a re-branding tactic to clean up her image.

At this point, anything that Heard does will garner some negative opinion from the fans who hate her. But has Heard's net worth benefited from this re-branding yet? Well, that remains to be seen, but if she's still getting roles, then that's all we need to know, really. She has hardly received the same backlash for her own actions as Depp has. Only time will tell whether studios are less inclined to cast her, whether or not they believe her side of the drama.
