Most fans can't imagine even being in the same room as Brad Pitt, let alone having him notice them. But for other celebrities, it's a common occurrence. After all, thanks to Brad's prolific film career, he's worked with just about anyone and everyone who's ever been someone in Hollywood.

And that includes Amy Adams. Now, Amy has had an interesting career path of her own, but it's safe to say that of the two of them, Brad has far more star power (not that it's necessarily justified).

Still, Amy has had plenty of interesting things happen in her career already. For one thing, she worked with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, whose influence had quite the effect on her. And throughout her career, she's gained more of a following and a higher status in Hollywood. Adams has even been BFFs with Christian Bale for over a decade, and that alone is a noteworthy accomplishment to most average folks.

Yet Amy isn't immune to embarrassing moments, just like everyone else. Only hers happened on set with Brad Pitt, and it wasn't even that long ago.

As she told Jimmy Kimmel while appearing on his show, it was on the set of 2018's 'Vice' that her epic fail happened. As fans know, Brad was one of the movie's producers. While he wasn't on set every single day, the days he did appear were always exciting ones.

Amy recounted that "girls had lip gloss" and were "skipping to set." The actress herself, however, had just been to the doctor and wasn't feeling so great. It turned out she had pink eye, which meant she'd need to keep a bit of space between her and her co-stars.

The news that Brad was on set trickled down, and Amy was a little bummed. She'd seen him before, sure, but she related, quite hilariously, that every woman imagines encountering Brad Pitt while looking beautiful and everything happening in slow motion.

For Adams, that sadly wouldn't be the case. She was in character, she explained, dressed as a 70-year-old, and that nasty pink eye wasn't helping anything.

The absolute worst part, and her most embarrassing moment, happened when Brad greeted her. Adams explained that Brad said something like 'it's so good to see you' and leaned in for a hug. Only, the pink eye meant that she couldn't touch anyone, so she freaked out.

Amy summarized her tale with "And in that moment, I became the first woman in history to reject a hug from Brad Pitt." Well, women and men everywhere are probably indignant on Brad's behalf because wow, what a slight. At the same time, fans are rejoicing because the man could've gotten pink eye, and let's be honest, no one wants Brad to suffer.

Clearly, her personal embarrassment was worth the fact that Amy saved Brad from pink eye. Right?
