Funny woman Amy Schumer feels pretty in her new movie trailer I Feel Pretty.

Schumer unveiled the new trailer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week. The actress explained the concept of the film to the talk show host, and what the movie means to her. Her character, Renee, is an ordinary woman struggling with self-confidence that suffers a head injury after falling off a bike during spin class. When she wakes up, Schumer’s character is filled with mega confidence, feeling like she is the most beautiful woman in the world.

“I have low self-esteem and really want to be pretty and feel all of the parts of life that open up to you when you're just gorgeous. I wake up and look exactly the same, but in my mind I am Gisele. I am one of the Jenner-Kardashians. It changes my life,” the comedian explained on Ellen.

Even though her character looks the same when she looks in the mirror, Renee sees a different person than before the accident. Because she sees herself as a super-model, it makes her feel like a more capable woman.

"It's a really funny and sweet movie that I think will make us all feel better. It made me feel better to play the role," Schumer revealed.

While the comedian feels good about the movie and the character, not everyone agrees with her. The Internet has exploded with comments slamming Schumer for making such a superficial film.

“There are so many things wrong with that I Feel Pretty trailer that I don’t even know where to start!” tweeted @Phoebe_A_Morgan.

“Amy Schumer is blonde, white, able-bodied, femme and yes, thin. She IS society's beauty ideal. So they give her a ponytail and remove her make-up and suddenly she's ugly? Why not just give her glasses or a fatsuit? What is wrong with this world?” wrote comedian Sophie Hagen.

Not everyone is angry at the concept of the film or the fact that Schumer is believed to be an ugly woman. They think it will be a hilarious comedy starring a hilarious comedian.

“@amyschumer I just saw the trailer for I Feel Pretty & I wanted to say thank you. Being & feeling beautiful should be less about our physical appearance & more about our state of mind & inner selves. Thank you for this movie. I was already a fan, now I may be in love with you,” tweeted @RavenpuffWalker.

I Feel Pretty opens June 29, 2018. Will you see it?
