Celebrities want the best that life has to offer. Legendary rapper Calvin Cordozar Broadus, also known by his stage name Snoop Dogg certainly is reaping the fruits of his labor. The 48-year-old rapper had his first taste of stardom back in 1992 after being featured on fellow MC Dr. Dre’s solo single "Deep Cover" and then again on his solo album The Chronic. The long-time rapper has even starred in film classics like Soul Plane, Baby Boy, and the horror flick Bones.

Additionally, Snoop’s other business ventures include investing in cannabis products, rolling out his own fashion footwear line of slippers, and of course, starring on his own prime time show Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party. Snoop Dogg has made some odd business moves, but all his ventures have helped him amass a massive net worth. The rapper is living the life, and it shows in his lavish purchases, especially his mansions. Snoop Dogg currently lives in a new estate that he’s been very secretive about, but we here at TheThings have the 411 on the rapper’s latest home.

Updated on March 25, 2022: Snoop Dogg remains as big a star as ever. In February, he headlined the Super Bowl halftime show alongside Eminem, Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar. He continues to appear in films and on TV, and he is even recording a collaboration with pop superstars BTS. At 50 years old, he is still on top of the world, and his net worth is currently estimated to be $150 million. In short, it's no surprise that's he's lived in some very expensive homes over the years.

Snoop Dog’s New House

Fame can leave some celebrities with more money than they can handle. Snoop Dogg, luckily, invests his money in all the right projects. The businessman and legendary MC purchased a new home back in 1998 on the eastside of L.A located in Diamond Bar, CA and has lived there ever since. Snoop Dogg reportedly bought the mansion for $720K, which isn’t too bad of a purchase. The rap legend’s mansion is located in the gated community of County Estates; a supposedly middle-class suburb that sits on a cul-de-sac. The house takes up 2.8 acres of land, having a square footage of 4,000. Sources reported that the mansion has 4 beds and 4 baths, as well as a pool and spa area, as well as a basketball court. The estate is said to be full of panoramic views at every angle. The mansion sounds like everyone’s dream house.

Sources note that Snoop additionally purchased a two-story home on the same street as his mansion, a complex he affectionately calls Tha Chuuuch. SPIN reports that the rapper has converted all three bedrooms into recording and conference rooms. The house primarily functions as Snoop’s new “man cave” where he escapes from family life to make music and shoots hoops on basketball court. We get that the star is a huge sports fan, but seriously, how many basketball courts could one man need? Many of the videos the rap star posts are said to take place in his two-story complex, where he shows off his cooking skills and his “spacey” recording studio. The star is definitely living large, literarily.

Snoop Dogg's Remodeling Job Gone Wrong

The superstar rapper may seem like he’s living the dream in his new Diamond Bar mansion but these days, he’s tied up in lawsuits with house contractors. Since 2018, Snoop Dogg has been in an on-going case with hired contractors who did a horrible job remodeling his new home. The Blast reported that the 48-year-old is suing the company for a whopping $500K for refusing to pay workers, as well as failing to do a decent remodeling job. According to the online publication, “Snoop claims various agreements were entered into and all obligations were fulfilled on his end. However, he claims they failed to perform all work as promised, failed to pay subcontractors and failed to satisfy regulatory requirements.” It’s so difficult to find good help these days.

Making matters worse, the Doggfather’s lawsuit is a counterclaim to another pending lawsuit, in which the rapper and his current contractor are being sued by landscape company PDQ Enterprises. The construction company is suing the rap star and his associates for refusing to pay $12,385.90 in home renovation fees for services ranging from stucco touch-up and removal of rust stains from the pool. Seems like his mansion in Diamond Bar isn’t as dreamy as we originally thought.

Snoop Dog’s Previous Residence – The "Dog House"

Snoop loves home remodeling and upgrades. Though, his previous residence was arguably a step-up from his current Diamond Bar home. Snoop purchased his first estate in yet another suburban neighborhood Claremont, CA back in 1994 for only $660,000. Today the home is now valued at a whopping $2.5 million. The Mediterranean-style home was featured on a late episode of MTV Cribs, where Snoop gave a tour of his grand estate to audiences at home. The home came equipped with 8 beds and 5.5 bathrooms, beautifully kept marble floors, sweeping grand staircases, a home movie theater, and of course, an L.A Lakers basketball court. The home also had some renovations done on it, which involved expanding its 3,000 square footage to 6,000 sq. ft. The extra square footage was due to the new recording studio the star had built, which featured a Wall of Fame of sorts of all the legendary rappers from that time. Sadly, the star sold his Claremont mansion for $1.8 million and traded it in for his new estate.

Snoop Dogg is obviously a man of fine tastes and hefty home renovations. Though, after his current lawsuit with his home contractors, the rapper should stick with purchasing homes in a new development rather than fixer-ups.
