Created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Grey’s Anatomy show runner Shonda Rhimes, Bridgerton is an inclusive, sex-positive period series. Protagonists Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Regé-Jean Page) pretend to be courting to get their way in the cut-throat marriage market, ending up falling in love.

Netflix Releases BTS Pictures From ‘Bridgerton’

The new pictures show the hard work behind the pretty pastel visuals of the series. Camera people, hair stylists, makeup artists, trainers and choreographers are pictured with some of the cast as they create their magic.

Page, who had worked with Rhimes on the legal series For The People, underwent a boxing training for his role. In the series, Simon often unwinds by boxing with his friend Will, played by Martins Imhangbe.

Among the new images released by the streamer, there is one of Page training on set for episode four.

In “An Affair of Honor,” Daphne’s brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) challenged Simon to a duel to protect his sister’s honor. In the new image, Page is seen as he trains at the location where the duel takes place.

Regé-Jean Page On His Boxing Training For ‘Bridgerton’

It was really fun to do something so physical and exhausting and to get into visceral play with the other actors,” Page said in an interview.

“I got on really well with Martins Imhangbe, who plays Will the boxer, and we had a great time in those scenes,” he continued.

Page acknowledged that the sweaty, intense boxing scenes weren’t easy to film.

“They were some of the most challenging days in terms of doing many takes that were as close to the real thing as you’re going to get, but we had some fantastic trainers,” he said.

“There's a very specific type of feeling of reward when you walk away from work physically exhausted at the end of the day, and knowing that's going to look great,” he added.
