Anna Nicole Smith fans have marveled at how much her daughter resembles her.
Dannielynn Birkhead is set to feature in a new 20/20 documentary special.
The 14-year-old girl looks nearly identical to pin-up mother in newly filmed footage. The documentary will see the teen tracing her mother's roots while on a road trip with her father Larry Birkhead, 48.
The special, Tragic Beauty, will also chronicle Smith's life story, which came to an end on February 8, 2007. Anna died from an accidental drug overdose at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
She was just 39 years-old.
Dannielynn was only five months old at the time of her mother's death.
Viewers will see Dannielynn exploring her mother's home town of Texas.
Anna Nicole was born in Houston and spent her early school years there. She moved to the small town of Mexia to live with her grandmother when she started high school.
Larry and Dannielynn also visited some of Anna's favorite places around Los Angeles.
"Dannielynn's a teenager now, and she doesn't really know a ton of things about her mom," Larry says to explain his trip.
"Anna should be remembered as this larger-than-life figure that was really a caring, giving person, a beautiful lady who loved her fans and loved her family."
Anna, whose real name was Vickie Lynn Hogan, battled drug and alcohol addictions.
Her friend Frankie Rodriguez says in the special that the troubled star constantly fought with her public and private personas.
"There was Vickie Lynn Marshall and Anna Nicole Smith," he explains. "Any kinda camera, you just yelled out her name, 'Anna Nicole.' When she turned around, it was on the spot; you saw Anna Nicole."
"The minute that camera left, it was a whole other person. She was back to Vickie Lynn,' he continued. 'I [am] very fortunate to have met and gotten to know Vickie Lynn… How she did it, I don't know. But whatever she was doing, it was making everybody watch."
Fans of Anna Nicole Smith were happy to see her young daughter looking so well.
"She's a lovely girl and her father's done a great job. I hope she has a decent future ahead of her," one fan wrote.
"This whole story was always so sad. Her son dying.. and then her. So many issues. Her daughter actually looks exactly like her father. They are twins," a second added.
"She's the perfect blend of both her parents. Larry has done a great job raising her," a third chimed in.
