Yep, you read that right- Ant-Man 3 is indeed going to be happening. Peyton Reed- the man who directed both 2015's Ant-Man and 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp- has been confirmed to direct the third flick. Filming is expected to start either at the end of this year or at the beginning of 2021. While no solid release date has been confirmed or even suggested, the film is expected to come out sometime in 2022.
It's expected that the film's star, Paul Rudd, will reprise his role as Scott Lang, AKA Ant-Man. But it doesn't appear as though any other actors or actresses have been confirmed to be in Ant-Man 3. None have even been rumoured to be in the movie. So fans are currently forced to wait and see what other famous names will be attached to Ant-Man 3.
This film is said to be set in Marvel's Phase Four universe. This universe is set after the events of the wildly successful The Avengers: Endgame. Ant-Man 3 has been speculated to follow both Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 7th, 2021) and Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5th, 2021). As for the remaining films from this universe that have been confirmed to be released at some point, they are: Black Widow (May 1st, 2020), The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Fall 2020), The Eternals (November 6th, 2020), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12th, 2021), WandaVision (Spring 2021), Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Loki (Spring 2021), What If...? (Summer 2021), Hawkeye (Fall 2021), and Thor: Love and Thunder. There have also been three MCU TV shows confirmed to be happening:She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, and Moon Knight. Needless to say, Disney is going to be spoiling us with Marvel films and shows for years to come!
While the details of Ant-Man 3 are currently far and few between, one thing is certain- we cannot wait to see this film once it's finally out!
